Lovely atmosphere, an oasis of quiet in the city centre. Initial impression is of a well appointed boutique hotel. Attentive, friendly staff at reception. Room was (city-)spacious, high-spec and clean. Continental breakfast should satisfy anyone. Happy to stay here again.
we enjoyed our stay in the hotel on a very nice room ., very good service , clean . the elevator wood floor must be treated and renew, except that we had a pleasant short visit. the reception and staff was very helpful and kind
We absolutely loved our (far too short!) stay here! After the long flight to stunning Paris arriving here and seeing welcoming smiles was heaven. All the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was good for us and after a hard days sightseeing it really felt great to go back there to rest in true French style. The location is perfect. Just off the Champs Élysées so you can walk, shop and dine to your hearts content, but just one street back so there is no noise at all. The restaurant in the hotel is just fabulous, with breakfast served there every morning being one of my favourite parts of our holiday. We were sad to leave and definitely hope to return one day.
The wiring of the plugs in the room was not done properly. Some plugs worked and some did not. Bathroom needs modernising. The plug hole in the bath hardlyleg any water out. Not a good experience. The restaurant within the hotel was way too expensive for it was. You can get much much better food outside for half the price. Some staff were unhelpful and just lazy
The hotel was in a very convinient position, a couple of minutew from Champs-Elysees and less than five minutes from Arc de Triomphe. The Hotel was clean and luxurious, the room was comfortable, full of the day light and the breakfast was very good with fresh croissants. Also the service and the staff were in a high level of professionalism.
Advantages: 1. Bathroom is fine. 2. Comfort and relax bed. 3. Very near to champs elysees and many other nice areas. Disadvantages: 1. Breakfast is limited and fixed all the days with low varieties. 2. No boiler in the room.
Great hotel in the centre of town. Everything is walking distance from the hotel. Staff were very friendly, room was ok but a bit dated. Breakfast was nice but continental. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Paris
The De Vigny is just a few blocks off of the Champs Elysee and down the street from the Arc Du Triumph. The gentlemen that greet you when you walk into the De Vigny Hotel have old world manners and, honestly, make you feel like you stepped out of modern day and into a bygone era. They walked to and from our taxi with an umbrella in the pouring rain, held doors for us and unlocked our room for us as well. The front desk was in a large sitting room with a beautiful old office desk complete with large wooden drawers and big metal keys. The check in and out process was relatively simple if not particularly technologically advanced. When we were there, the elevator was not available for guest as a safety measure so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to our room but the bellman took our luggage up and down a back elevator. So, it wasn't all that inconvenient. The room was elegant and well appointed. For those who are not used to it, the marble and wood bathroom has a bidet as well as an extra large tub. The beds were amazingly comfortable and there was very little noise penetrating from the hustle and bustle of the street below. They have an attached restaurant that serves a small but delicious breakfast buffet for those who choose a bed and breakfast combo. Their chocolate croissants were scrumptious. We really enjoyed the hotel especially because of its easy access to where we wanted to be. The hospitality, old world charm and comfort were a nice bonus.
Had a lovely 2 night stay at the De Vigny , The staff were all super polite and really helpful. Even though the hotel is 5* its not the same standard as a UK 5* in comparison its more of a shabby chic old vintage style boutique hotel, rooms are nice with comfy beds, very clean , however no kettle or tea making facilities .. decor is a bit dated but still a very comfortable stay :) Best bit is the location its very central and 5 mins walk to Champs Elysee's with a 30 min walk to the Eiffel Tower. Overall a good experience , would definitely go back.
Front Desk was very helpful, and helpful porter/front desk helper. Rooms small but okay. Adjacent Italian ristorante is awesome. Easy access to Metropolitan Charles De Gaulle-Etoile and George V. Champs Elysesses
