Dear Manager, My parents just came back from the trip from France and they spent 7 nights there. It was first time to travel to France for my parents and they were there for their niece's wedding party. They don't speak both English and French, but as our family policy, whenever we go abroad we respect the culture and people there and at least try to say "Hello" and "Thank you" in local language. According to my mother, she hate to say like Black hotel employee at reception (maybe his family roots is from Africa) she didn't remember his name though, but whenever she said to him "Bon Jour" in morning with her full smile face, he ignored and never replied to her. I don't know the reason why he never replied to her, but she said it was very disappointed. I consider hotel reception is the face and symbol of the hotel and If his attitude was on purpose, I'd recommend him to study what hospitality is again. If he changes his attitude by race or nationality, I'd judge him he's uneducated and unsophisticated and wonder the hotel hiring like him is also have same idea. As a hotelman he was not professional enough and the problem is he doesn't notice his problem. I usually don't write this kind of feedback, however my parents had a very good time except for that. So I'm writing this for his future and also hotel development. Sincerely, Sonoko from Japan
Overall are good. This hotel although is small but clean and good location, and it's air-con function well. I would recommend this hotel to vegetarians, as there are a few vegetarian restaurant nearby. The nearest is about 6 mins walk from this hotel. And there is a metro station nearby, I took less than 10 mins walk to that station.
The hotel is located in a type of Art Deco street in the beginning you are not sure how it is going to be but you go forward. It was clean, comfortable, very well located, elevators as usual small but you get used to it, breakfast is good. We only encounter an uncomfortable situation that was that we hire a shuttle to the airport and came late but we were able to get our plane on time. It is near the metro and walking distance to restaurants and stores. We were very pleased. Air conditioning worked great.
We traveled to Paris in May and as a family of 4 had a difficult time looking for a room that could accommodate all of within a reasonable price range. Luckily, we found the wonderful Hotel Corona Opera, which is centrally located in Paris surrounded by endless choices of dining and right around the corner of the Grand Boulevards metro station. Our room for 4, was actually spacious with a split bathroom and a living room that converted to a double bed, and a separate double bedroom. The room was comfortable, clean and seemed updated. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, and found the choices to be very good for a breakfast! The wi-fi was also strong and we had no issues with it. All the staff we interacted with were extremely friendly, and even helped arrange our transportation to the airport. Can't wait to return to Paris and possibly stay in the Hotel Corona Opera.
We stay here for 3 nights and had a good experience. We requested a room change due to bad smell and were accomodated rigth away. Jerome was great in taking care of our needs. He was helpful and willing to help us.
This old hotel is located on a seedy alleyway. The elevator broke the day after we arrived. Just like it did in someone else's review from the previous week. I think they shut it down to conserve electricity to run the air conditioning. Their breakfast is not complimentary and didn't look worth the 16 euros they charged. You can get much better, cheaper fare on the street nearby. They arranged transportation for us from the airport. It was awful. The driver couldn't find us for 45 minutes, and then he refused to turn on the air conditioning of his old beat up van because he was low on gas. Ended up spending about an hour slogging through Paris traffic in 90+ degree heat without a/c. Would only send an enemy to this dive!
excellent hotel. One of the best in the area. Value for money... staff are good and excellent location. Although the internet is slow, we are satisfied with facilities and services. we will surely stay again in this hotel
What a poor hotel. For the 3 days We stayed there the elevator was broken. Either owners do not have a good maintenance budget to repair broken things or they do not care about customers. Either way it is bad. I don't recommend this hotel at all. Thankfully I stayed at 2nd floor, I saw an older couple struggling to take their luggage up in evening and receptionist didn't even propose to help. He was alone in evening, no other staff available. Carpet is soo old and dirty, bathtub curtain smelled bad. Ovoid this hotel! I was surprised of the good rating, maybe the location at 800m from the department stores helps with the score but don't be fooled, don't sacrifice your conform for location, metro is fast and can take u everywhere.
My wife and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary and found a great deal that included 3 nights in Paris, then 3 nights in Rome (Airfare Included). We stayed at the Hotel Corona Opera from June 17-20,2017. Under the circumstances and taking the into consideration the price/value , it was a superb deal. While the rooms are small ( in most of Europe as well as here) and the Elevator was tiny, the location is excellent! We were very close to a Metro Station - Grand Boulevards. From there we went to all the major tourist sites. The 3 day unlimited Metro Card is well worth it! There are many restaurants and shops in the area of the Hotel Corona for all price ranges. The Hotel Staff at the Corona, especially Front Desk were all friendly , warm and helpful . As in most of Europe , they are multi lingual . We spoke English and Spanish to them and about 20-30 of French ( YouTube lessons) 99% of the French people we met were super friendly. Paris is so culturally and historically rich. The food was superb. Croissants, baguettes, great wine ! Need I say more ... We will definitely be back! Thank you to Tripmasters, TripAdvisors, Air France, Hotel Corona Opera, and the City and people of Paris for a Wonderful and unforgettable Anniversary trip !
