Hotel Corona Opera

The room was small but clean. The hotel was hard to find and located in a shady looking street. It's very close to the metro station so easy to get around Paris via metro. About 20 minutes walk to the Louvre.

The room was quite small but since I was traveling by myself it wasn't a problem- would have been if there were 2 people. It advertises that the staff speaks English but not that well- enough to get by and everyone was very nice! My biggest complaint was the location- it was in the back corner of an alley way which didn't feel too safe. It helped that there were other hotels in the alley and that it was close to a metro station. I would not recommend if traveling alone.

The hotel is situated just close enough to the Opera area that its name is justified. But visitors, don't be fooled. This hotel is about ten city blocks away from Opera Garnier. That said, the property is quaint and tucked away in an alley (not necessarily the best after midnight# off the very busy area near the Metro "Grand Boulevard" #Number 9 and 10 lines), making it a very convenient property for the budget traveler. The inside of the hotel is fresh and new. No problems with the appointment of the room. Their major problem right now is their choice of "WIFI" service provider. Connectivity was non-existent... in my room or in the breakfast dining area. Speaking of breakfast... like the "free internet"... the hotel's buffet breakfast is as basic as they come. No frills, but effective to get some food in before heading out into your day. By the way, if you book as a package, make sure you have your confirmation/trip itinerary with you to show proof that your breakfast is included; otherwise, they may attempt to bill you for your daily breakfasts when you check out. All in all, this is a great hotel for the quick visit. I would not recommend this hotel if you travel with small children, or if you plan a week or longer stay in Paris.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Corona. I was looking for a relatively cheap hotel that would put me within walking distance of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre Museum. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars about 50 yards from the Hotel's front door. All-in-all the hotel met the exact needs of what I wanted for the price I was paying.

THE HOTEL ROOM WAS NOT LIKE THEY SHOW ON THE PICTURE ET ALL. IT WAS VERY SMALL ROOM NOT CLEAN POOR FOR THE PRICE PAID. ELEVATOR SIZE EXTREMELY SMALL 12"x48"SIZE. REALLY!!!!MY SON AND I TOGETHER COULD NOT FIT IN IT.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was in need of an update but no worries there, that was underway on the fifth floor which is part of the reason I am giving this a 3 star instead of a 4 star. Construction started at 8 am, before we were up and ready for the day. Once the remodel is completed I think this will be an even better place to stay. Good location near the metro and lots of moderately priced restraunts in the neighborhood. A good point from which to begin many walks. Even though our room was rather tired looking the bed was excellent and the bathroom bright and clean!

Hotel personel were extremely polite and helpful at all times. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Rooms are small but adequate. Breakfast at E14.00 is probably a bit steep, but very convenient. We took it every day. Elevator is something of a vertical coffin, one big bag and one person at a time, so expect to use the stairs, 63 steps to floor # 3. However, it always worked when needed. Location is unbeatable, we were able to reach anywhere in the Paris region very handily using the Metro & Bus. The hotel is situated at the edge of the tourist area and large stores, yet close to the more local types of stores and Parisian life on la rue des Martyrs etc. We would certainly be ready to go back.

A view of a small enclave of hotels with real people wandering up and down: no traffic! A corner away from the Metro, and a bustling Montmartre beyond. The room (always petite in Paris) was clean and boasted a minibar and a lovely bathroom Formidable

We needed one night extension and we had to to go to this hotel. The Bedding are very old and the bed you can feel the springs.
