The carpet looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The bathroom wall was peeling off.

I had to stay in Paris cause I missed the train. I came arround and could book It within 6 min with Orbitz. The room is motel level and the location is far for most public transport.

10-15 minute walk from the Gare Du Noord Easy RER to CDG Airport Close to Metro and local restaurants English speaking staff

Stayed at this hotel towards the latter end of my trip to Paris. Room, Bathroom were small but given that I wasn't going to spend much time in the room, it did not matter. Train station is 5 minutes away. Staff was extremely helpful.

Average hotel with a nice view. They advertised free wifi but it was only available in the lobby and not in the room at all. The staff was helpful.

Aside from the helpful and friendly staff who spoke English well, the hotel was a poor choice. The location is in a rough and noisy area with constant police sirens. After nightfall the walk from the station to the hotel is best avoided. The room was bare-bones. No air conditioning meant the windows needed to be open and making the outside noise much louder. The pictures in the advertisement are misleading as it depicts a quaint and cozy scene that is anything but. We checked out the next day and stayed in better accommodations in a safer and cleaner location for roughly the same price. Overall, it was overpriced. For what it was it should have been much less.

A little distance from the main part of the city, but very close to a metro stop, which is most convenient and cheap.

Very good location for train travel. It is within walking distance of Gare de Nord & L'Est, Being on vacation and in Paris, you do not need to stay in your room. Get out and enjoy the city. This hotel is meant for having a place to sleep comfortabily. Only down side was the bathroom was small and had some problems with the shower door.

Great for short stays. 5 min. or less walking from Gare de Est, so the rest of the city opens up to you. Only down side is the in-hotel breakfast, very expensive for what is offered. I would expect more for 13 Euros. Room is clean and suited for "no files" travelers. Shower was a little small. The old phone booth had more room. Bed was comfortable. Heater worked well to keep the room warm. Not a room to stay and relax in, after all you are in Paris, get out and experience the city! Don't just hold up in the room.

My wife and I are budget-conscious travelers in our 30's. This hotel worked well for us overall. Its best virtues are its relatively-reasonable price, and its proximity to Gare du Nord Station. We arrived from London to Gare du Nord via Eurostar. 20 minutes after getting off the train, we had dropped our bags at the hotel and were ready to tour Paris. As for the hotel itself, it's in good enough condition. Every front desk attendant we saw spoke English and were polite and helpful. The breakfast options (free) consist of coffee, juice, yogurt, 2 types of cereal, small slices of ham, croissants and other pastries. Our room was typical for Europe: Very cozy with a tiny private bathroom. The shower was smaller than a phone booth, and might present a challenge for people with disabilities. BBC was the only English-speaking TV channel we got. There was no alarm clock provided in the room. There is free wifi, but the connection was slow and frequently interrupted. The neighborhood was a mixed bag: There are things like Adults-only shops mixed in with a diverse array of nice restaurants. We saw a handful of people who looked homeless, and saw some sketchy-looking guys hanging around the train station late at night. No problems though. There are mini-supermarkets nearby where you can pick up drinks, snacks, beer and wine at relatively reasonable prices. There is an Avis/Budget rent-a-car place nearby, which also had English-speaking attendants. The hotel's proximity to Gare Du Nord paid off for us again at the end of our stay because there are express trains to CDG airport which depart from there. We made it from the front door of the hotel to CDG in about 45 minutes. If all you need is a decent place to sleep and shower, this hotel is fine.

It is not far from the metro and you can get downtown in about 20 minutes. Reception spoke English and helped out. The rooms were small but they were good enough.

For a two star hotel in Europe, this hotel was great and exceeded my expectations. The room was recently renovated, so the bathroom looked like it was pretty much brand new and the beds were very comfortable. The linens were also like brand new. My room was on the 5th floor and there was some noise from the nearby train tracks, but it wasn't too bad. The staff were incredibly nice and always welcomed me back to the hotel and answered all the questions that I had. Overall -- I strongly recommend this hotel as a budget friendly place to stay that is relatively centrally located.

I kept hearing that I was in a less then spectacular part of town (and this from locals and bartenders) but I thought that this area was wonderful. Not the most scenic, but CENTRAL and easy to get around. The Timhotel is close to the metro and the staff are about as sweet as they come. Very inexpensive hotel and a decent breakfast. I would and WILL stay here again.

As the hotel overlooks the Gare de L'Est, there is the constant metallic screaming as the TGV trains enter and leave the station. As there is no air-conditioning in the room, shutting the windows to reduce the noise simply makes the room unbearable in hot weather. There is only 2 or 3 hours in the middle of the night when the trains do not roon, so it is virtually impossible to get a night of sleep

Close enough to walk to the train station and metro, however you will have to go through some not so good areas to get there. Room was clean. Fairly noisy from the road and train station. Good for short stays.

check in very smooth. good location close to gare du nord / est. good upload / download speeds even on 5th floor. lack of AC in summer means windows open wide and noisy trains from down below. front desk forgot wake up call, but trains sufficed.

I chose this hotel mainly the location close to Gare Du Nord, but it is still a good 10 minutes walk. The hotel room smells bad with cheap furniture. The wash room is tiny and unclean with no hair dryer. The worst part is no air conditioning at all. The staff unfriendliness does not help either. It is not worth for 100 Euro price.
