Hotel Ascot Opera3.0 out of 5.0

The room is very small, but fine if all you plan to do there is sleep. The street was a little noisy, but that is to be expected in this part of the city. Perfect location. We spent a day walking and saw many of the popular sights. The staff was phenomenal. All in all a decent 3 star hotel.
I have stayed here 4 times, the rooms, location & breakfast are lovely but this time we were woken at 0600 in the mornings with the noise of trucks on the street collecting the recycling ! This went on for about 30 mins every morning which was v disappointing:(
I was in Paris for a conference I had to speak at and wanted a hotel at walking distance from the venue. Since it was close to the Opera, which is not one of the cheapest locations in Paris, I settled on this place, for 133 euro's. It is a small hotel with not too many rooms. Luckily it was only one night. Upon arrival, the concierge seemed not to be too interested in me, friendliness was not his strong point clearly. My room was nr 14 on the first floor. It was rather small and lets however start with the good: The place is clean! The room as however very warm and turning down the heating seemed to have little effect. So I opted to sleep with the window open, yet that brings in quite some noise from the ever busy streets. The bathroom was quit tiny and the shower so low I could not stand under it straight. Upon leaving in the morning, there was no request as to how my stay had been, simply a "merci et au revoir". Well, to be honest, I don't think they will again see me. All in all, not really bad but definitely not a wow experience.
We stayed in two rooms here as a family of five with three children after a fun but exhausting disney trip. On arrival we were greeted by friendly and helpful hotel staff and were given an upgrade free of charge so we could have two rooms next to each other. This made it so much easier for us looking after the children. Both rooms were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are clean, I really stress about cleanliness in bathrooms but I had no worries here. All the staff were lovely, especially the lady serving breakfast who spent a long time talking with our children and helping them with easy french words. The location is excellent walking distance to the big attractions and a metro. I wish we had stayed here for our whole disneyland trip as its just a 30 min train ride to Disney and short walk from metro. We would recommend this hotel. Our daughter has asked to go to Paris for her 12th birthday treat and we know where we will be staying!
The hotel was clean with stylish decor. The reception staff were very pleasant and polite, and extremely accommodating and helpful. Although the rooms were a bit small, but with the space available was utilised well, providing all necessary facilities and comforts. The hotel has parking close by with 24hr access, and the staff are even happy to park the car for you. Although the rooms are small, the location is fantastic. The only thing is breakfast could be improved slightly with the availability and variety items it supplies. I would therefore recommend and stay here again.
I recently stayed at Hotel Ascot alone for two nights. The main reason for choosing this hotel is I know the location well and like this area. While I do realize that being in this area means paying more, I did expect for 289 Euros to have a slightly nicer accommodation than what I received. Regardless, once I arrived very early to the hotel I was greeted warmly, especially by a new man working there. However, the other man informed me I would need to pay 90 euro more to get my room earlier and to upgrade as well. I was ok with this, but once I got to the room I was shocked by how small it was and old and ugly the decor was. I did have 3 pieces of luggage and they barely fit in the room. It was quite dusty and really I love Parisian boutique style hotels but this one was under my expectations. I have stayed in various hotels in Paris, some fancy, some boutique but this one felt a little dated to me. Anyways, I was there to shop and your around and not stay in my room. Job, a midnight manager at the hotel was super friendly and great to speak with. I want to give him a shout out for his exceptionally professionalism and how welcoming he was. While I don’t believe I will stay at this hotel again, I would stop in to say hello to Jon. Overall, this hotel is good for a quick stay. I rate it kindly a 6/10 overall. The location gives it most of the points being so strategically located. Otherwise my rating would be much less.
The rooms are designed in a modern, contemporary style, and feature comfortable beds to ensure a good night's sleep.in the suite two bedrooms in which big family can be located.Close to the center and attractions, convenient location, the staff was very friendly as well.
Very helpful staff of this good located hotel. They have a parking in the neighbourhood, but you have to book it in front. The rooms are very nice. The beds are comfortable . A little bit of noise please
This Hotel is in a great location, very central and literally 2 min from the metro. The location is also very quiet considering the location. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorate. Staff were very friendly and helpful, spoke good English. They are a credit to the hotel! Rooms are small when you initially see them, but are adequate for what we needed, just to sleep and nap/chill a bit. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was spotless, as well as the bathroom. Good shower pressure. Excellent black out curtains. AIR CON, which was a very welcome feature. Would definitely return and recommend this hotel.
We loved our stay at this lovely hotel in Paris! The room did look just like the pictures, and was so cute. Great cleaning, near the metro station, cafes and restaurants just up the street, silent at night.
