Comfort Hotel Montmartre Place du Tertre0.0 out of 5.0

This hotel is in a great location! Very close to the metro, and walking distance from many attractions. I didn't spend much time in the hotel because I was sight seeing all day. Bed was very comfortable.
Lovely new room decor in the rooms I stayed in, great location too. The reception was still under refurbishment which is a shame, but if it's up to the same standard as the rooms it will be great. One big negative, the bar opposite was open till 2pm one night and the noise was very loud, and couldn't sleep at all, shame as it was the day I was up at 4am for the airport.
Good location (although still a decent walk from the Place du Tertre, despite its name), good service, comfortable beds. Otherwise, I found the room old and shabby - the sink was badly chipped, the wallpaper torn and the carpet dirty, and I don't even want to talk about the condition of the duvets under the cover. The hotel is under construction and will re-emerge later this year under a new name, and no doubt a new price. Perhaps the owners haven't invested in it for some time, and likely won't now. A decent budget option for a short stay, but if you're expecting anything like the Comfort Hotels in North America, you'll be very disappointed. One night was ample.
The hotel is old and looks scruffy more like a hostel for workers so wouldn't stay there with kids. It is undergoing some changes now therefore is very loud during the day. We had a twin room, not much space but clean. Wifi is free, tv in a room. Toilet is clean , towels changed everyday. Receptionists were polite and helpful. It was very loud at night due to the pubs outside , people enjoy their time till 3am. The biggest advantage of the hotel is location, only 5-10minutes walking distance from Sacre Couer and Montmartre. I would stay there again. Paid around £200 for 3 nights,2 people.
The hotel is nice and convenient. The location is pretty good, just a few minutes walk from Abesses subway stop. There are some shops, bakeries (patisseries in French), cafes in the area. Sacré-Coeur is not far as well. Plus, if you are into walking, it won't take you long time to get to the city centre:)
We made a reservation for a double room for 3 nights via Choice Privilege, using Loyalty points. Although we were three persons we decided we're going to share a double room and the person at the reception did not ask anything about this, as we did not require any extra beds, towels etc. The second day, a different receptionist told us it is not possible for 3 persons to share a double room, so after apologizing and saying we didn't think this could be an issue, we agreed to book a 2nd room, again, using our Loyalty points. The entire conversation was in English, so the receptionist assumed we did not speak French. After a while he started saying to his colleague at the front desk in French that we wanted to take advantage of the hotel and how unbelievable it was that we had the balls to do that when we did not even pay for the room--presumably, by his understanding we were staying there for free :| . I started saying to him in French that that was not what was going on, and that his attitude is not fair. He did not even apologise for the behaviour...I regret not having reported this to the hotel manager or something.
We made our reservation from booking.com however the hotel cancelled our reservation just a week before our arrival. We called both booking.com and the hotel but nobody helped us. I dont really know if this is hotels fault or not. The location of the hotel is very good and the receptionists were very kind and helpful however the rooms of the hotel is very small and the radiator in the room did not work well.
Took about 55 minutes to get here easily on the metro from the train station. in an ideal location about 25 mins from all your big attractions via the metro. lots of bars and clubs around. an hour from Disneyland. We got the top floor balcony room which was amazing, looked out over the whole of paris and had an Eiffel tower view. rooms where basic and small but clean and just what you need for paris as your only sleeping here tbh. Overall made up and cant complain for the price.
Ok i understand you have what you pay, but this hotel is very bad to be true. Excelente location and price, The bed is ok but The rest is too bad to be true, very small room and toilet, incredebly hot and no air condition, The street is very noisy, we dont slept for 2 nights, very old building no security at all in case of a fire. Frindlly staff in The reception
Four stars for price, location, customer service and view. Stayed just one night in April on a Eurostar jaunt from London. No frills, tired hotel perfect to lay your head after exploring Montmartre. Small, clean room. We were able to check into our room early and leave our luggage in a secured closet during our visit to Giverny the following day. Hanafi and Karima at the front desk were wonderful! Took the time to map out directions and metro stops for our chosen destinations and answer any question. For the very reasonable price of the room in a great location in Montmartre, we were ecstatic to have a small balcony with a view of the Eiffel tower to the left and windmill to the right. We stopped into the bar/restaurant directly across the street, Le Petit Moulin, for drinks at night and we felt as if we were in a cafe in the time of Lautrec and Van Gogh. Hotel is a great value for the price point and view.
