Recently stayed at Hotel Chateau Frontenac for 4 nights. Hotel was in a wonderful location in Paris, 2 blocks from the Champs Elysee and a 15 min walk from the Eiffel Tower. Hotel was very comfortable and clean. One of the better hotels I have stayed at in Paris. Would definitely stay there again.
I was in Paris a few days early before going to bike in the Loire River Valley. Location is perfect - one block off the Champs Elysee (10 minute walk to Arc de Triomphe). Another short walk to the Eiffel Tower. Great access to the metro. If you're in to high end shopping - it's all there!! The hotel is delightful. Clean, nicely decorated. Breakfast was included in my package - from early morning to around 2pm! Good selection of food, breads, pastries, fruit, etc. Concierge services are fabulous. They speak English and Spanish.
Hotel is in a great location however, it is in the middle of a renovation and did not say that on any of the websites. Concierge in hotel is rude and abrupt get the feeling that he is doing you a favour but it’s his job. No security at all. Anyone can go upto your room without being asked questions.
This was such a welcome surprise. Lovely, light filled room....close to the champs de Elysee (2 blocks) and the metro station (4 blocks to FDR). The desk staff were very helpful. After days of walking all over Paris, the lovely room was wonderful to return to each day!
Just steps off the Champ Elysse is this gem. Great staff, beautiful rooms and a yummy breakfast. Easy walk to Lauderee’s for lunch or dinner and macaroons. I stayed in room 206. Very quiet and over looking the front street. Some street construction but it not affect us at all.
Lovely room and excellent care from the staff. Would definitely stay here again. Not as close to the main sites as other hotels, but near other amenities that are nice and is away from the crowd. I liked being able to exchange seem US dollars at the last minute for Euros. Not the bank rate, but was fair enough. Arranged transportation to the airport for us in the hotel car because there were three of us. If there had been two it would have been a little cheaper for a taxi, but we had such excellent care that it would be worth the difference even if there had been just three of us.
My niece and I stayed here for eight nights for her first trip to Paris. This hotel is much nicer than its rate suggests. The superior room was reasonably sized, with a sitting area and a desk. It is located one block off the Champs-Elysées, not far from several metro stops and a 10-15 min walk from the Eiffel Tower. A few key points... the AC in the room was phenomenal and completely within our control. The beds were quite firm, we were divided on whether that was a virtue or not. The room was looking over the street but there were blackout curtains and we were never bothered by the noise. The room did have a safe but it was small, I couldn’t store my laptop, but it was fine and, after a few days, I didn’t worry about it. The cleaning service was great and unobtrusive; we were near their service closet, which was sometimes noisy in the mornings, but It was never a huge issue. The bathroom was well-equipped and had a decent hairdryer. The room also had a nice tea pot with a great selection of high-end teas for self service. One odd thing, the room did not have a security lock from the inside, this bothered me at first as I have never stayed in a hotel without one; however, it became clear that the hotel was secure and we didn’t need to worry, some may be bothered though. Lastly, the staff were all very accommodating and friendly, we could not have asked for more.
The hotel is very well located but the renovation works were being done during the day so, we were passing in between the painters and their tools while going to our rooms. However, the quality vs price that you get at Frontenac is not bad due to its prime location.
Very nice air conditioned hotel just off the Champs d'Elysee (down the street from the Four Seasons). Nice room with small digital safe. Bathroom well-equipped with robe/slippers and a separate mirror for the spouse. Would be a nice touch to have a non-slip mat for the shower/tub -- kind of hard to find in France, though. Overall, the room was just fine -- nice size for Paris. Breakfast was excellent. Was here as part of a tour group.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, amazing breakfast (oh that eggplant!!) served until 2pm! Just a few blocks from Avenue des Champs-Élysées, so handy for tourists. Lots of restaurants in the block behind the hotel (rue Marbeuf). Very quiet at night. If you’re in room 618 be sure to open the bathroom window and look to the right for a spectacular view 😉.
