Great location, friendly and professional staffs, can't be better! Warm welcome at reception was exceptional! Every question during my stay to staff was all well answered and helpful during my trip. One little thing, was not fully aware a small bottle of water cost me around 5 euro every day except the night I arrived.
I have to agree with some of the other people that I'm not sure this hotel should have 4 stars. The access to the bedrooms are down a long, narrow and fairly dark corridor that twists and turns. The bedroom was not very spacious but it was clean. You could see the bedroom had been redone, it's just a shame they didn't change the carpet at the same time and put something lighter in as the lighting isn't ideal. The bed & linen were perfect - no complaints there. The shower took quite a long time to warm up in the morning and there was no pressure in the head so it just sort of dribbled out. I did think that breakfast at 19 euros a head was expensive. There was a good choice but the scambled eggs were completely tasteless even although they looked lovely and fluffy. I did have a problem in my room which was sorted out by the staff quickly and efficently. The hotel does have a big plus in the fact that is very central and close to the main shops, theatres and other attractions and the metro is very close by too.
This hotel is in a great location..... easy to get anywhere and close to some terrific restaurants. Solid value for Paris. What I enjoyed most was the helpful staff ..... great advice, directions etc. I particularly appreciated Mathieu who showed great patience in help us get on line reservations. Thank you Mathieu.
Arrived and entrance and foyer quite pleasant. Normally Paris hotels have compact entrances. Checked in fine and up to room. Think I got upgrade but should do as diamond card holder. Good start. 2 days before we came I phoned to ask for flowers in the room as it was our wedding anniversary. I was told to phone back and speak to housekeeping when they were in!! That is not a good approach to your customers. However, I then got an email asking how they could make our stay better - great I thought, I would ask for flowers. THERE WAS NOTHING in the room. Why send those emails when you don't action? When I asked reception about this, they were really unhelpful, said nothing could be done and the chap verged on being rude. I think they should remove the sign they have in the reception - see photo Room was tired - 500. There is s large gap around door leading to outside fire exit. Tap in bathroom was loose. Bedside table chipped. Holes in fabric ceiling with sellotape over. Bathroom also generally tired. Room was quiet though. This is somehow rated as 4 star but to be 4 star you need quality rooms with excellent customer service. This is a safe 3 star and nowhere near 4 star. I have had better service in 2 star hotels. Normally I get free water left out and a couple of chocolates (as diamond member) - I had to ask for water and no chocolates. It's a small thing but goes a long way. Conveniently located for Gare du Nord and also Opera, where u can get to most places from. There are cheaper better hotels than this - I have stayed in a few, some were Best Westerns.
The room was clean and fashionable and the staffs were very kind, polite and gentle. I enjoyed the breakfast. Happy to stay here. There was a super marcket just around the corner. It's 20 mins walk from Game de Nord. Good location.
Perfect accommodation for our 2 night stay in Paris, close to the Opera house and walking distance to many restaurants, museums and galleries. Room was small by Australian standards but beautifully decorated with a small balcony and a well appointed bathroom. Would definitely recommend to others to stay here.
We were made to feel very welcome on arrival, very friendly man on reception who arranged to have our cases brought to our room. We had room 508 on the 5th floor....spotlessly clean, a lovely balcony overlooking one of the longest streets I have ever seen...Rue Lafayette. The bed and pillows were so comfortable plus a lovely bathroom with good shower. Decided not to have breakfast, so cannot comment, as we wanted to make an early start to visit Sacre Coeur before it became manic. Taxi was booked for us and arrived within minutes, and because there was a problem with the lift, the lovely man at reception assured us our cases would be brought from the 5th floor to reception on our return and kept in the luggage room. On our return we collected our luggage and another taxi was ordered for us to go to Gare de Nord.. 5 mins drive away..Once again arrived in minutes and the friendly concierge put our cases in the taxi for us. We would definitely stay here again and the location was great for restaurants, Galeries Lafayette, plenty of buses even on a Sunday, and a mini Carrefour just around the corner. Small bar and lounge with colourful seating in the lobby area.
A 3 day visit.the second day actually there was a fight between hotel stuff and the people in the room next door. Then the next day as we try to return from breakfast the elevator is broken.so we have to use the stairs(as instructed by an announcement in the door elevator).when we return for a middate siesta the elevator is still out of order.i asked reception when it will be fixed and the reply was that they are waiting for the technician.so 6 floors thru the stairs.just to find out that the room was not cleaned and the towels not replaced. Then after 45 minutes we are waken by a knock on the door asking if the room has been cleaned.so no info from the cleaning stuff but at least we got new towels. We go out at 17:30 the elevator is still out.we have to return 15 minutes later because we forgot the umbrella so third time for me up 6 floors. And then we return around 8:30 to get some jackets for the night.i go up to get them and the wife stays at the lobby. But she has to use the bathroom so asks for a wc in ground floor.just to find out that there was a service elevator THAT OTHER GUESTS ARE USING. What kind of management has a hotel with 6 floors, one elevator and no service agreement so a technician will be there after 4 or 5 hours? What kind of management tells 70 and 80 year old people to use the stairs when another elevator exists? What kind of management tells only some of the guests that another elevator exists and not all the guests? What kind of training best western provides that the hotel stuff does not update 4,5 and 6 floor guests that another elevator exists?
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were extremely comfortable. The morning breakfast was amazing. Though the rooms are a bit small we loved this place!!! It was a central location to get everywhere we wanted to go do and see. Many options of nearby food.
Stayed 3 nights. Bed is so tiny. Single bed size. Ok for petite. Uncomfortable pillows. Shower area is compact & badly designed. Toilet papers will get damp when Lousy view from hotel window. Worst, the room is so dim.
