WOW! We have had the most enjoyable holiday we have ever had in Paris and I cant recomend the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards enough. I must mention Idir, as he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and, in particular, his handling of an issue we had at the start of our holiday which was sorted quickly and in a professional manner. Thank you for the time you spent with us! I'd also mention all the staff in the front desk you were a delight every time we spoke to you.
Hotel room was nice and clean. Good shower stream and blowdryer. Very close to a metro station and can walk to some of the attractions. Staff was friendly and very helpful, giving us a city map and showing us which direction to walk towards attractions. The hotel is close to shops and was able to pick up some bites and water for the day. We in in Paris for 4 days and always came back to the hotel quite late 11pm and after midnight. Like any city they were people hanging round, however never once did we feel unsafe.
This hotel which was selected by one of our party was our base for a few days following our French holiday. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness. Close to Sebastopol Metro Station. Very helpful receptionist.
Great hotel with a faboulus location. A lot of traffic, also during night-time, thats the only drawback for the hotel. The location, staff, and rooms however will make it worth it anyway, so we will go back.
we found this hotel to be comfortable and ideally situated for our needs. The staff were friendly, helpful, and happy to converse in English. The room was small, but clean, and pleasantly decorated with everything that we needed for our four night stay. The nearest metro station, Strasbourg - Saint-Denis, was little more than a minute’s walk, and not much more than a ten minute stroll to the Louvre or the many bars and restaurants in the area around the Rue Montorgueil. The only surprise was the request for a deposit of €50 on arrival; there seems to be nothing in the booking site which mentions such a requirement. There was no problem having the amount refunded on departure, but for those like us who use cash throughout our travels, to avoid unnecessary bank charges for foreign transactions, this needs to be factored into the budget - and, if this is the last stop before home, you will end with perhaps more Euros than is desirable.
I booked here because they said their rooms are soundproof. They are not. Every night I was woken up by sirens or cars honking. It is very noisy. The rooms are also a bit dangerous as there is raised carpet molding between the rooms and the hall, which you cannot see in the dark when you first enter the room. My traveling companion fell over this on our 2nd day and injured her wrist. The neighborhood is also very rough. There is graffiti and shuttered businesses everywhere. Foreign men aggressively women into visiting a nearby hair salon. I raised my concerns about the room's safety and noise level to the staff and they couldn't care less.
I can only recommend this hotel very good service, friendly atmosphere and an ideal location. Good for business trips and also just for a leisure trip to Paris. Easy to get around on Metro and bus. Then area has a variety of typical French Bistros and Cafes which are also used by the locals.
Really clean and nice place what in Paris is not so easy to find.. Staff are very nice and rooms are really good prepared. Small but confortable Gym is good for the begining of the day. Lokalization in the city centre is perfect for walking around and to keep feeling of this city from inside:) I enjoy a lot.. Magdalena
My partner and I stayed there for 5 days in the begining of August. The room was very nice, the bed was superb! Very clean, neat and modern. You were provided soap and shampoo as well. The receptionists were lovely, very helpful! We did a quick check in and the receptionist told us about the main turist attractions and public transport. The hotel is located about 20min away from the Notre Dame (walking distance). The down point are the surrounding, there were many prostitues on the street and around the hotel. We never felt unsafe dar the hotel but I must say that I would not go out late at night. We stayed on the first floor and especially during the weekends it was very noisy from all the talking from outside.
This is a real find. Modern and clean, boutique style rooms at a great price. The front desk staff, Denis could not have been more helpful. Best western should promote him! Yes, the rooms are small but this is Paris! Really good location and right next to a metro station. On a Main Street so if sleeping late is your choice then ask for a room at the back. This will be my preferred Best Western on future visits.
