Stayed here for 3 nights commencing 17th March for my birthday. From the outside the hotel looks exceptionally small but once inside it opens up and is very impressive. The reception team were extremely friendly and polite and were always available to help. We stayed in room 612 which was a deluxe twin. Its was at the rear of the hotel which helped minimize any street noise and we enjoyed 3 wonderfully peaceful nights sleeps. The room was extremely well decorated and the bathroom massive with a full bath, shower, sink and plenty of toiletries. In terms of location it could barely have been better. We were one street back from the Louvre and within easy walking distance to Notre Dame and Seine. We took a walk along the river up to the Pont de L'alma bridge and then up to the Arc De Triomphe coming back along the Champs -Elysees. A long walk but well worth it when you can go back to this hotel and soak in a hot bath with a glass of champagne. Breakfast was fine but could be improved and the provision of coffee pods in the room seemed to be monitored rather strictly. 2 pods only and if more needed we needed to ring reception to request these. Overall view is this was an excellent choice. A hotel that is well run and managed by a great team. We will be back Best Regards Mark O' Donnell
This is a fine property with an attentive staff. The breakfast has a good selection. The elevator is tiny and slow. The bed was comfortable and the room had a window that opened. The location is very near the Louvre Rivoli metro stop and within walking distance to all of the key art museums. The rooms are quite small and the room temperature is set too high for me. The shower is small. The facility is clean but small by American standards.
We have just arrived home after a wonderful 3 day visit to Paris, the city of lights. What an experience. From this lovely hotel, so well appointed, with its great ambience, staff so pleasant and every facility one requires to a memorable visit to The Louvre, a visit we hope to repeat soon. We loved every minute of our stay. Breakfast was excellent with staff so helpful and obliging. The room, ours was 411, Was spotless, bright, comfortable and with a bathroom that was so big and had every facility. There was any amount of Bistros and restaurants close by, all excellent value, our favourite was The Louvre Brasserie. Au revoir Paris, a bientot, till we see you again, Merci
Being a wheelchair user, it is difficult to find accommodating hotels in Paris that is accommodating in both staff and structure. Hassen the front desk manager made our stay incredible, from his delightful service to assisting us with navigation throughout the city. I highly recommend this hotel during a leisurely stay in Paris-perfect location to everything and even more perfect service. Thank you!
Room not ready until hour after check-in. (Not fun after being on a plane for 12+ hours to get here) Room is hotter than Hades. Advised front desk clerk who takes me to the room to show me how to work it, only to discover that like I said, the controls are showing an error code. He advises to wait and it should cool off. I wait an hour more and it's still hot. He suggests that all other rooms will be hot too because they only have heat on right now. Won't change my room. I prepaid $150 a night for 3 days and am considering giving up and going to another hotel if I can find one. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Descent rooms with average Parisian hotel space. Adequate breakfast. The service however is below average and not even 3star. We reported numerous times that the bathroom sink was blocked and flooded. Despite their reassurances they never fixed it!
This hotel was in a great location, however it was the only good thing about the hotel We came back to the room one day and our balcony door was left open, we were on the ground floor so easily accessible for anyone to get in. I complained to reception and told that no manager was available and that as nothing was stolen it was a simple error. Our passport and money was in the room Was very noisy cleaner hoovering outside door at 8am on Saturday morning and constant noise of lift going up and down Not once did any staff member saying Hi or were we ok. Checked us in and said room was at the bottom on the left. Poor service and the room was not that of a 4star. Will not return to this hotel again
Reading about stolen money in a recent review, we sadly recalled our own experience when 1,000 pound sterling were stolen from our hand bag in this terrible hotel -the worst in our life-time of travel. When we complained to Best Western, they said the same thing, namely that they are not responsible for it. Best Western should take this hotel off their list and Paris Police should look into the scandal of money being stolen at this hotel. In our case it was most certainly the taxi driver whom the hotel asked to help us in taking our luggage to the room as the hotel has no concierge/porters.
The location of the hotel was great - very close to the Louvre. The hotel in general was very nicely turned out and modern and had a lovely sitting area as you entered the main entrance. The room was clean and the bathroom was a very good size. However, I was very disappointed with various things which I would have expected from a superior room in a four star hotel: - The main light in the bathroom was out and had not been attended to. - There was no place to hang the shower head. - Only one of the beds had been made with a valise and cover - it looked very odd that the other twin bed had not. - Felt like we had to keep the curtains shut at all times because the window/door opened straight onto an internal staircase. - We had to specifically ask for coffee in order to use the machine in the morning. - Finally, the staff seemed a little glum and weren't the most welcoming.
Very cute room, centrally located. Interior of room was very clean. Would have given 5 stars but housekeeping left the balcony of our littered with cigarette butts which I thought was pretty gross. Pillow case had some tears in it. Despite those two little things it is a great hotel and would return.
