Our room was clean and small, but most economical Paris hotel rooms are. Although it was small, we had a king size bed that was very comfortable, as well as a chair and desk where I ate my pain du chocolat. The property is located steps from the #8 metro, there are several very good restaurants on the block, and there's a Starbucks across the street. The staff were friendly and helpful, and if we return to Paris, we would have no issue staying there again.

Would request a non street side room in the future. No air conditioning so very noisy with windows open. Very small room. Nice breakfast and extremely nice and helpful staff. A couple nice restaurants close by and right beside Metro station.

Everything was good, until it came time to sleep. The walls were very thin and noisy people next door kept me up most of the night.

We stayed 3 days at the Montcalm. The hotel was average, but did have a lovely garden to sit in and a fine breakfast room. The neighborhood was terrific! So many places to eat and walk to with a very relaxed, safe feeling. It is away from the center of Paris but the Metro is steps away and the best way to get around. We loved coming back to the neighborhood in the evening and finding a new place to eat dinner! The woman working at the desk at the Montcalm was so nice and so helpful - I wish I had asked her name.

I really dont have much to complain about this hotel, the staff was super professional and kind. The only thing is that in the street side its noisy, so if you arent used to street traffic request a garden side room. Its literally a block from the metro which is great, and the rooms are clean, its really great for a someone there to see the sights.
