We enjoyed this little gem over the NYE holiday 2018! It was conventionally located for these first time travelers to Paris. Friendly staff, great breakfast, and a fun place to grab a drink before heading out for evening exploring! We would recommend staying here!
What a great place to stay. Friendly staff, lovely rooms with a great bar/ restaurant. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with freshly squeezed orange juice. Brush up on your school french. go and stay there lots of things to do in walking distance and five mins to the metro.
Spent 3 days in Paris after time in London mid Jan 2018. The rooms are small, but worked well. Good bedroom facilities. Great location from which to explore Paris. So many cafes and restaurants within walking distance for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Having said that we did have 2 dinners at the in house restaurant. THe food was good and the staff were terrific (thanks Natelle) in giving details on the dishes and wines. We had one sunny day (it was winter and cold). And walked along the river from Eiffel tower to the hotel. We saw so much - sights, shops, cafes. Walk if you can.
This hotel was perfect for our 3 day visit to Paris! The staff was so welcoming and helpful. The rooms are small, as they are in Paris, but very clean, quiet and had everything we needed. The breakfast is the best I have had at a hotel in many years including a perfectly soft boiled egg, wonderful bread, croissant, pain au chocolat, yogurt and lovely coffee. The location is perfect for both shopping and sight-seeing. As a bonus the Sunday market Bastille (mostly food) is only a minute walk from the hotel. I will definitely be returning to this hotel.
Excellent no-nonsense choice. Quiet rooms that are compact and clean. This location cannot be beat. Excellent restaurant at the ground floor. The perfect french dog wanders around the breakfast hour looking for errant croissant crumbs. Can you blame her?
The situation of hotel is very good, close to metro to come from Gare du Nord, easy to reach Place de Vosges by foot, Sunday market at Bastille. The room is cosy, very clean, very comfortable bed. Great fresh breakfast with fresh juices, bagette, croissants, cheese , ham, mmmm... The only thing which I was not very satisfied with -that there is no door between the room and the bathroom, in the room with bath...It should be clearly mentioned. There was only a transparent curtain between. The WC is separate. So, keep in mind if you are going to stay there with someone you do not really well know. All in all, very cosy small French hotel, would definitely recommend to stay there.
Lovely small Parisian hotel with great restaurant. Very conveniently situated away from tourist centre, but close to Metro line direct from Gare du Nord and just a few stops to all of the tourist sights. Very good area for restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff.
lovely hotel, lovely staff , the room we stayed in was compact but very well decorated and met all our needs enjoyed the breakfast ,would stay again. walking distance to Place des Vosges and Victor Hugo house which I would recommend the entrance is free, well worth a visit
Auberge Flora is without a doubt our favorite hotel in Paris. When we arrive, we are treated like family returning home after a long journey. The people speak excellent English and are always pleasant, attentive, and ready to help. It has everything we need, but we're not paying for things we don't need or use (no business center, no fitness center). The people are warm and friendly, resourceful and eager to help. The restaurant if wonderful with Chef Flora Mikula creating an array of superb dishes. Her charcuterie is outstanding, and don't miss her lamb burger. Salads are generous, fresh and made with the finest ingredients. Desserts are refreshing and generous - some remind us of earlier times, like baba au rum. Even small plate tapas snacks like falafel have her special flair. Breakfast is reasonably priced and delicious (a pleasant change from those reasonably-priced Paris hotels where a sad little buffet breakfast is15 Euros and not very exciting). Most of the rooms are not overly large, just large enough. If you need a larger room, very nice larger rooms are available, but this is not a hotel in which you just sit around in your room, it's a well located treasure that you will adore sleeping in so you can be rested up for your adventures the next day. The beds are extremely comfortable with absolutely lovely bedding. The amenities have been carefully chosen - excellent, high quality, and natural. The huge shower head is a delight. The Bastille market, the newly renovated Picasso Museum, Place de Vosges, shopping in the Marais, trendy new restaurants, and more are all within easy walking distance. The #69 bus stops just across the street so you can easily get to the Louvre and also to the neighborhood near the Eiffel Tower. The Metro is close-by, too. It's a great location with the feeling of a neighborhood. For us, it's home in Paris.
We stayed there for 3 nights and it was OK. Rooms are comfortable with the basic amenities that you would expect but with no much space to spare, at least not in our room. It felt a bit cramped but, from my research before booking, looks like it's a common theme in these stylish parisiense hotels. Breakfast was ok, but a bit expensive. Probably you can have better breakfast outside but it may be a bit difficult to find anything open in the morning (maybe everything was closed because it was a Saturday/August?!). If you really like to have one of those big breakfasts with a lot of options, to fuel you for the day, try the big chains instead.
