I love hotels. I love independent boutique hotels. I love independent, boutique hotels with cache and charm. Auberge Flora is an exceptional value in itself: the location is superb- right near 2 Metro stations and the Bastille. The staff is great, they seem invested in the work they do : it is not just a job for them. The bar/restaurant lovely- typically Parisian: delightful breakfast, cocktails and meals. The rooms are magically decorated- at least ours was- bohemian and welcoming. I understand other floors have other color schemes and we will try those on our next stay. The newly renovated bathroom had a rainfall shower-so wonderful after a long hot day of seeing the sites. Blissfully quiet- even though it is on a major street (triple glazed windows see to that). Loved staying there and we will be back (BTW- just down the street is the Best Western- exactly twice the price and none of the charm. Not knocking BW- I just prefer something with a bit more funky cool vibe) And I love the fact that it is woman owned, a chef and independent. My new favorite in Paris. There is a market just outside the hotel on Thursdays and Sundays, as a bonus.

I booked this hotel because of the price, amenities, and proximity to the Metro. It is fairly easy to locate, near to the Bastille area of Paris, and across the road from a lovely little park and an amazing Sunday farmer's market. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, most spoke enough English (and I enough French) to communicate. The room was incredibly small but sufficient for 2 people with no more than 2 bags - 1 was perfect. The room was located on the street side, which tended to allow quite a lot of noise but my husband and I were not bothered by that - earplugs take care of the problem quite well. Each floor apparently has its own theme of decor. The restaurant provides good food at very reasonable prices and is open 7 days until late. The tea is not quite what I am used to in Ireland but the coffees and croissants are very good. We enjoyed our stay at the Auberge Flora and can recommend it to couples seeking a nice little Bohemian boutique experience!

Beautiful clean stylish room with an uber cool wooden bath & quality white bath robes. Delicious breakfast, excellent location friendly staff. We will definitely go back again Abergele flora is a truly exceptional boutique hotel and great value for money too a true gem to behold.

Amazing hotel. Booked a room with a culinary experience wow wow wow. Food was amazing and so much of it. Came out like it was afternoon tea on a 3 tier platter. Hot food, cold and sweet. Room was quirky, clean and comfortable. A must if you like to surprise people.

I am staying in Auberge Flora during my business trip to Paris about 15 nights per year. I am always happy going back because of the warm welcome and the tasteful atmosphere. Each room is different. Breakfast is super - the croissants are delicious.

My new wife and I stayed here back in May for our Honeymoon. We spent the better part of a week in a much smaller room in London, and I decided we could splurge for a better room in Paris. Boy was that ever a good decision! The room was lovely with a nice view of the street. The person at the front desk was always there and friendly. We needed to book a last minute flight to Rome after our train ticket fell through (due to a strike), and they were able to assist us in getting a taxi very early in the morning to bring us to the airport. Not only was the room comfortable, but the shower was very nice and had plenty of room for a tall guy like me (I'm 6'4", so it was nice not needing to bend over in half). From what I remember the wifi wasn't terribly fast, however that isn't such a big deal as long as you stick to downloading maps/directions or checking your email. The attached restaurant was a great choice for dining. We ate there at least twice and everything was wonderful both times.. Additionally, there is a grocery store just around the corner which is great if you want to pick up small items for breakfast or to make your own lunch to eat outside. The hotel is close to a few metro stops, so we had no trouble getting anywhere we wanted to go. All in all, I don't really have anything bad to say. The wifi could turn some people off, but we weren't really expecting blistering speeds anyway so for us it was mostly a non-issue. Thanks for a great experience, and we will definitely come back in the future.

The room was petite, but I loved the natural touches, neutral decor and the subtle chocolate scent from the room diffuser. The toiletries were top notch as well. I'd love to see them upgrade to key card entry and do a it more customer service training for the well- meaning front desk staff. The standout is the restaurant, from the Mariage Freres tea to the house wines to the specialties of the house, like the foie gras terrine with toasted brioche and the service by Stelly. I would definitely stay here again.

We visited Paris for a romantic weekend and opted to stay in this chic petite hotel. The rooms are very stylish, are well equipped but typically Parisean and floorspace is minimalistic. We stayed in through noir room, all black. It was cosy and the bath was fantastic. The hotel is well situated sight seeing. There are a variety of cafes and bars close by for eating out etc. The nearest Metro station is less than 300m from the hotel which is very handy for getting anywhere in Paris. €1.60 gets you a ticket to ride. We took our car. Be warned driving in Paris is nuts and is not for the feint hearted. On bank holidays, evenings and Sundays Street parking near the hotel is free. Just around the corner is an Ibis hotel with an underground car park. Charges are approx €25 per day. The hotel itself has its own cafe bar offering breakfasts, food and drinks. We didn't eat there but it looked okay. A fab place to stay. And yes we would return even though it was a wee bit on the expensive side.

You might not think of the 11th Arrondissement as the place to go for superior rooms and outstanding food, so you should consider Auberge Flora for your next stay in Paris. The rooms are not large, but are extremely well appointed. The beds are superb - you'll think you're in the most expensive hotel in Paris. And the food is extraordinary. Chef Flora Mikula has been a favorite in Paris for decades. Her famous restaurant, Les Olivades, gave us a chance to learn about her understanding of unique flavor combinations. Now she has rooms in the same building with her new restaurant. Try her charcuterie, one of her specialties. The menu offers a wide range of tapas - we especially liked the falafel and her soups. If you think you know Paris and you don't know Flora Mikula, it's time you discovered this gem!

Love my room, its was so cozy !! Very good sized room full with small original details. Even the keychain ... mine was a rock. The hotel is small so it make it perfect for a quiet holiday. Has its own bar with a delicious organic beer, it was always full because of the friendly environment. The neighborhood is full of bars and night life, plenty of stores for all you might need. On Saturday there's a market that has all kind of food stands, you can try a little bit of everything, very fresh local products. Metro Bastille is just three blocks away. This station is great if you want to go to all the touristic places. Very friendly staff. I would definitely go back.
