Room was okay, food was okay, service was okay, view was great (but offcourse! Its lake toba), beautiful small beach area. I wanted to give 7 out of star, but i had to decrease it to be only 4 out of 10 stars. Why is that? Its because i think that main atribute of a good hotel is if it accomodate a good night rest. Breakfast, view, other services is secondary. But during my two night stay here, it was really really horrible because of the loud noise outside. And yes it was two nights in A ROW. There was loud karaoke, singing, or something somewhere near the hotel, and in the second night it just got worse and louder. Crappy LOUD trash music, dangdut, etc, just outside the hotel. I hoped that they should make the room soundproofed to handle such problem. I Called the receptionist two times and they couldn't do anything about it. It was "not the hotel's event" they say. Called them the third time to ask for ear plugs, but the hotel dont have one. My mom and me couldn't sleep until 12.30 night! The music stoped around 12.30 night. You know, all that we want after a day long activity is just a good night sleep. But i couldn't have one here. Hotel's management should have a solution about such problem. Definitely a problem...
Room was OK only. A lot of ants in the room. Bathroom was not so great. Receptionists were not helpful. I had an accident that I needed to do laundry to most of my children's clothes. As I checked into the hotel in the evening, I understood that the laundry service had already closed and the receptionist said that it would be reopen again the next day at 8am. The next day at about 745am, my husband called the receptionist and asked what we should do if we wanted to use the laundry service, the receptionist could only answer,"the laundry service will only be available at 8am" to whatever our questions were. At about 8.05am, my husband went to the receptionist to ask about the laundry service... and the receptionist said that the laundry would only be opened at 11am. Was really disappointed with them... The only good thing was the view was amazing..! God was good enough to cheer me up from the disappointment with the amazing view...
Being travellers, my fiance and I often travel to exotic places for a getaway. This time, after much persuasion from our friends about Lake Toba, we decided to give it a go. We stayed there for 2 nights. It is more like a resort than a hotel, no proper facilities; gym, swimming pool, spa, saunas but it claimed to be a hotel. No Elevators / Lifts nor AC along the corridors. We requested for a Large Bed but there were no such arrangement, they basically pull 2 single beds together to make it One Large Bed. Once we entered the room, the view is AWESOME but it was rundown. There are unswept areas of hairs on the floor. The bedsheets were in different shades of white (or rather yellow). We had to sleep on the "Large Bed" with gaps in between. The rooms are very near to each other and walls were not soundproofed. Once, we saw a HEAD peeped into our room from the balcony outside. This is how close the rooms are, there weren't any privacy at all. We probably disturbed our neighbour with TV because of the non-soundproofed walls. Surprisingly, this "resort" is popular with local groups. During the 1st and 2nd night, the AC was making such a loud noise that I couldn't sleep. During the 2nd night, I was woken up at 2am from the running and singing from below and along the corridor. It was the worst experience, there are no quality control even though there are only 2 storeys of rooms. There are no english speakers at the front desk and no one can answer our queries. Food is relatively inaccessible but i will recommend Tiga Rali Market which was a 5min walk to get local snacks (only open on Wed and Sat) and only Hong Kong Restaurant for Chinese food because the price is clearly stated on the menu. Will not stay there ever again.
Stayed for 1 night as part of a group tour to Lake Toba. Arrived rather late but the cool weather really helped eased the tiredness from the 4 hours journey from Kuala Namu Airport. There were also some stalls outside the hotel. Check in was done swiftly, the staff were very helpful with the luggages, as we had about 40 people in total. The hotel and the room was oldish but functional. Aircon in room worked well and the bathroom was clean. Once the sun rises, the view of Lake Toba was breathtaking from the balcony of the room. Breakfast was simple with some dishes and an egg station. Overall, a good hotel to stay by the shores of Lake Toba
Inna Parapat is 3* hotel, so we can't expect too much. The room we got was quite decent, but it is not carpeted (as expected for 3*) View of Lake Toba is indeed breathtaking and gorgeous, right outside the balcony of the room. Breakfast spread not that much, simple dishes and some dessert. Overall, it is a good stay for a night. Only disadvantage is the journey to reach this hotel from Medan airport takes hours (approx 3-4 hours via bus including the jam)
located on top of the hill and facing to Toba lake. spacey room and quiet...nice to bring your family here. Food is nice. Pool is nice as well. Staff are friendly. Access to the lake is very near. price is a bit high.
I spent my time here during our family vacations from 17-21 Dec 2016. We stayed from 19-20 Dec in family room 201. This room is not recommended due to its wifi connection which can't reach its location.😭😭 Other than that.. It's OK. In my opinion, this hotel's selling point is its location which in the shore of Toba Lake. Therefore, we can directly order a speedboat for a tour around the lake.
1 night at this hotel. Checking in at 2am was smooth. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and able to converse in English. It doesn't seem to be any lift and I am not sure if there are room at level 1. So please check with them if you have huge luggage or require wheelchair access. The room was basic, neat and with a fine view of the lake. The condition of the bed was fine. Toiletries such as towels, toothbrush, shower gel and shampoo were provided. Breakfast, in buffet style, is served at the restaurant right opposite the reception desk. Checking out at 7am was smooth. I will not mind this hotel again.
An old hotel, but they re-design and re-build it, mostly suite room near the lake, the food is average, the view is very nice, directly to Toba Lake, and they have those gazebo for outdoor party, fishing pool near the gazebo, you can cook the fish after you catch it, many Government officers were stayed here.
This hotel is very closed to Toba Lake. We can take ferry from its beach. The view is good, not of Samosir but of the other side of the land. There is several kind of rooms: hotel, cottage, and traditional Batak house. But inside, you won't find the scene of modern style. It's so nineties, from the living room until bathroom. Souvenir shop is located in front of this hotels. And durian seller as well.
