The staff was great. While close to the interstate, it was far enough away to not be too noisy. We had a broken lamp and a cracked sink in our room, though.

The toilet in our room Leaked, they did not offer any room service for our stay and we never got clean towels. It was otherwise ok. Breakfast as expected. Decent typical holiday inn express breakfast but the dining area and all counters around the food was dirty. Staff could have kept it cleaner.
Bathroom had dirty washcloths hanging in the shower. Staff said it would be cleaned. Came back and same washcloths we’re still there. Changed rooms. New room had a bathroom sink that wouldn’t drain and light bulbs out in bathroom. Very disappointed in the facility cleanliness and property maintenance.
Drove 8 hours to get to the facility. Husband was looking forward to the hot tub.The hot tub was not working. Had a load of laundry to do, the laundry dryer was out of order. Served a breakfast; kids were looking forward to waffles. There was no waffle machine. Wanted Orange Juice in the morning; out of order. Could not walk to dining area very dangerous. Very unhappy. Last day of our trip.

Staff very friendly. Got into room 304 with couple opened/empty energy drinks and bed a mess. no one cleaned the room before I got it. Staff got me a new room

The room smelled of fresh paint and glue, we had to air the room out. I asked if we could have a room on the first floor if possible and they gave us a room with a king size bed ( one bed) we went out to dinner without checking the room and found out on our return it had only 1 bed. We booked a 2 bed room, why would they give us a 1 bed room ? I was told by the staff we asked for a first floor room, that was my answer. The staff need training here very badly. Our stay was very sad indeed.
The location was right off I-35 and was very easy to find.The staff was friendly and we checked in very late (like 9:30pm), but that was no problem. The hotel was quiet, the room was clean and neat, and the breakfast was adequate in the morning. Overall, a very nice stay!
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and I will certainly be back. It is a great place to stop and rest when traveling between my home in North Dakota and points southeast (Des Moines, Chicago, Dubuque, etc.). My only complaint, so to speak, is the breakfasts at the Holiday Inn Express chain hotels. They're too heavy on carbohydrates and too light on fruit. This hotel didn't even have any oranges, apples or bananas (as many do) but only packaged peaches in sauce. I ate my fill, though, and it was fine, but not the best start to my day.

I am so sorry you had experienced so many inconveniences during your stay with us. Waffle machines are not something Holiday Inn Express' and Suites do not have we have pancake machines. I am unsure why our OJ was our of order I will look into that also. Hopefully you made it home safe. Again I apologize.
