Tranquility at its finest! Superior rooms and staff. A experience.

Pretty nice place but somewhat dated design and not a great value.

First class resort. Great staff, grounds and amenities. My new “go to” resort in Scottsdale.

The views are breathtaking and the grounds are well-kept

Everything was wonderful

Exceptional service and amenities. This is my favorite resort hotel in the world.

We chose the desert for our brief honeymoon and selected Sanctuary based on its size and aesthetic, though we assumed we would still have to go to Sedona to really experience the desert. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised by what we found and rarely left the quiet, peaceful, relaxing resort. We were upgraded to a spa casita right next to the pool, and though we saw other guests at the pool, our soundtrack was mainly the sound of the cascading water. It felt like we had our own private paradise. The desert views are spectacular throughout the property and the modern décor compliments it rather than competing. The staff never fails to check in to see if a guest needs anything. All resort guests can access the fitness center, lap pool, and some fitness classes as well as a steam room and jacuzzi. We would not regularly shell out for a 5-star resort, but having had the experience, we think it is worth every penny. Great honeymoon spot! *The spa was undergoing its renovations but we were never disturbed by any construction noise or inconvenience so don't let that impact your selection of the resort (we were there Friday afternoon-Monday morning).

Great resort! The only problem was that they had not cleaned the chimney that was in our room for some time...which we used the fire place several times and I ended up getting very sick from smoke inhalation, which was a little scary!!

We had a great time here, this still was the most relaxing getaway trips we have taken. The staff were very attentive to us. Our flight arrived late, and then we made it to the resort after getting our rental car. Once we arrived at the Santuary we were greeted by staff while still in the car and they acknowledge knowing us by name. First class service!!!

Incredible hotel in a beautiful area. The valets are the friendliest I have ever encountered.

The attentiveness to detail and service in this facility is second to none! The staff are so accommodating, helpful and extremely friendly. This is one of my wife and my favorite places to stay anywhere!! Have been many times and travel to Phoenix just to stay at this resort and spa!! Highly recommended!!

Loved this resort. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The rooms are beautiful. The staff is so professional yet friendly. The grounds are immaculate. I only wished I could have saved longer. I guarantee I WILL be back. I have stayed at several resorts in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson and would rank the Camelback Sanctuary heads and tails over the others. The ONLY issue I had with the hotel was parking was difficult. I stayed on a weekend and it seemed like there were a lot of people at the hotel for the night time entertainment. I'm not sure if this problem always exists. I will say the staff were helpful in finding parking for me.

This was a a really nice place to stay. The room was beautiful. We attempted to contact the hotel via email to make a request in advance, but we never received a response.

Arrived early (12:30 PM) and was able to check-in so we were off to a good start. Our room had an awesome view of the mountains and the bed was extremely comfortable. The pool is small but nice and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The workout room is also small but adequate. At night the bar is lively and has entertainment so you can have a great time without ever leaving the resort. This is a resort definitely more suitable for couples.

This was a truly amazing hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. From water to helping me with my stuck car key, they demonstrated tremendous hospitality. The location is wonderful, as the trail head for Camelback Mountain is about 1 mile away. The only thing I would say is that they need a few more menu options. The restaurant, Elements, was just okay and a little overpriced. However, there are plenty of options close by. The Spa is INCREDIBLE. I had a massage and facial and both were excellent. The facilities were beautiful and they also offer a meditation garden.

I was recently there with some girlfriends for a spa weekend away from the winter in Minnesota. Sanctuary was wonderful, the spa, pool, food, and service were all top-notch. I especially loved the grounds and picture-perfect surrounding scenery - waking up to mountain views and walking down beautifully landscaped paths every morning was a treat! The spa was outstanding - great facilities, though a bit on the cozy side since it was high season and quite busy. That said, I still felt very taken care of, excellent service, the 3 treatments I got were all some of the best I've had - and I do go regularly to a spa at home and whenever I travel at a resort. The food at the onsite restaurant Elements and the Jade Bar, the pool, and even room service, were all great. Loved that the food was so fresh and healthful but not "health food" -- still lots of rich, indulgent food if you were in the mood. Only downside, the cost is high during peak season and the mountain view casitas are only so-so. They're large, but our bathroom had just 1 sink and a glass shower stall so you couldn't wash your face if your friend was in the shower and wanted any kind of privacy. The beds and linens were nice and comfy, but the bath towels were worn and not soft at all -- they were Frette, but seemed overly stiff. I think the spa casitas are newer and supposed to be nicer, though I never saw one and they are also even more expensive. These are minor nit-picks though, because overall the stay was near-perfect. The resort even let us check-in early and check-out late - they were very accommodating! Can't say enough how relaxing the Sanctuary was, and I hope to return, maybe next winter!

I met some girlfriends at the Sanctuary for a spa getaway and it was exactly what we wanted. The room was crisp, white and clean with all the amenities. The views and weather were unbelievable. The food and drinks were awesome and the spa was a dream. My only complaint: We wanted to hike camelback mountain one morning but they couldn't offer a map of how to get to the trail head. It's a 1.5 mile walk from the resort to the trail head and they gave us some vague directions. By the time we found it we had been wandering around in the heat so long we decided we had better head back. It would be perfect if they could offer a shuttle to the trail head.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in early October. We had gorgeous weather and the resort wasn't packed because we were a bit off-season. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We felt secluded but close to everything! The spa was amazing - we had 2 different treatments, a massage 101 for couples and a detoxifying wrap. I highly recommend both! We're hoping to return for many anniversaries!!

Very clean upscale home like with excellent service
