booked a weekend special with the family, 2 adults, 2 young teens. kids had to share the sofa bed, which was just about doable. room big enough, and 2 toilets- great! location central, but rooms faced away from noisy street. dinner was good and filling (loved the house red!), breakfast was okay- could be presented a bit better. reception was competent, but had to tell the garage keeper every time when we wanted to park or remove our bikes. the carpets in the hallway need replacing. And one easychair in our room had a split seam. how can housekeeping overlook such a thing?
Good rooms, perfect location in the city center and on the way from Vienna to Budapest. We had always a great view from the window and the service is excellent. Breakfast is always delicious. Reception is friendly and helpful😊☄
Nice clean hotel in the heart of the city. Comfortable beds, good breakfast. We had a great view from our room (#425). I wish there was a balcony though. There was AC, TV, hairdryer, mini bar and kettle in our room, but no tea or coffee available. Overall we enjoyed our staying.
We were a little disappointed with this hotel as the booking websites give the impression it is historical. I guess it is, but the interior has been totally modernized and the public areas are in a building from the 70's. Other than that, our room was fine. It had a bathtub and a minibar as well as one or two English TV channels. The breakfast was poor to reasonable and the staff were not friendly but not objectionable.
Hotel is in city center, that's OK. You can find nice restaurants in short walking distance. The hotel have many rooms. But it's looking quite old and ware out. The room was average size. Bed was smaller and not so comfortable. Also bathroom needs renovation.
We were travelling with 2 little children. The hotel hapilly provided 2 baby beds. They even offered us a very (very) spacious family suite. Underground parking space across the street, accessable with a key card. EUR 7,00 per night parking is very reasonable. Free parking in the surrounding streets at night and during weekends (paying during the day). Belgian Beer Café is nice, offering good food. Just a few minutes walking from the atmospheric old city center.
We arrived in Gyor without a reservation but were easily accommodated. The staff were pleasant and the room was a decent size but both the room and the passages could do with some updating. Nonetheless, it was clean, comfortable and quiet.
We have booked in this hotel for our team building weekend, we were a group of 24. We chose this hotel because of its location, so we can go out in the evening and go around the city. When we arrived to the hotel, we were informed that they don't have any empty rooms, and they will relocate us to another hotel.... they offered a taxi to move us to the new hotel, but this wasn't sufficient for us. We ended leaving a city early so we can go back to the hotel which ruined our weekend... A dissent hotel shouldn't allow to delete a confirmed reservation for any reasons without minimum a week notification.
We booked through booking.com at a very reasonable price. The hotel is in a great location and very central. Rooms are a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. We were lucky to be given a room with air conditioning. The staff were very helpful and friendly and would happily resolve any issues eg extra pillows etc. Parking was easy both onsite or on the streets. The hotel is very big there are still some grand features. We enjoyed our week stay and would return I the future
No doubt, the heyday of Hotel Raba was a good while ago. However, even until today it's super central location, spacious rooms and free wifi delivers more than expected from 3 stars. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, but the breakfast is nothing to write home about. Good hotel for people with no expectations of luxury.
