I stayed for a night in one of the “cabañas” and they where really comfortable, the area is completely quiet and you can enjoy your stay. In January the weather is amazing so you can completely maximize your time in the area. The breakfast needs to be improved as for the quality of hotel is really poor.
We stayed at the Valle Escondido resort in Boquete this past February and very much enjoyed it. We rented a 2 bedroom condo from the owner and enjoyed our stay. The well kept grounds and amenities at Valle Escondido are great, with the pools, restaurants, spa and golf course. The resort is a short walk to town, or a 1 minute slow drive. Great location and great place in Boquete.
We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful resort. Beautiful grounds, very calm, clean, lovely pool, friendly service, everything was perfect. The resort is quiet yet close to Boquete center. We ate at the restaurant in the resort and the food and service was excellent.
Ill try to stay positive here...but be realistic. The grounds of this hotel are nothing short of amazing. The grass is manicured, various streams, indoor and outdoor pools, golf course etc. Really amazing. The room itself was basis at best. Extremely simple for such a lovely property and very disappointing. The rooms had no fridge, no clock and no coffee, in an area where they grow amazing coffee!!!! It bothers me greatly that management sees nothing wrong with this. The room had terrible lighting as well. The tv was garbage as was the cable and the wifi (free) was atrocious coverage and I couldn't get work done. 'The bathroom too is super simple and holiday inn quality at best. They did not take our towels after they 'cleaned' room one day out of two we were there. Our room had a TON of noise. The whole night cars, golf carts etc, the windows were paper thin. The stream behind the room (room was called Chavelita) has a beautiful waterfall and stream BUT the noise was horrible. Overall, I would go back for the landscaping alone, nothing else. The breakfast had very few options and fewer special needs options ie vegetarian etc. VERY close to town for whatever that is worth. The town is kinda gross in my opinion.
We stayed at the hotel for the New Year Wkend and just like every other hotel they take significant advantage with the rate, which is fine, nowhere is cheap for holidays but for $270 you would expect extra attention to details and overall experience. The room we got was elementary, and not at all comfortable, I didn't check, but it felt like an old mattress, and with such a vast property it's funny how tiny that bathroom was; the shower was either burning hot or ice-cold. Lighting in the room was terrible too, which is ok for a romantic mood, but hey sometimes you need to look for things around the room; we had to use the cell phone light for the closet/cabinet. The breakfast was just a sad sad experience; you would expect that for that price, with the hotel full, and during the holiday season they would prepare better. There was not enough staff; there were dirty tables, napkins, dishes; an overall lack of organization. The staff was not happy or attentive, and we had to ask for basic things like napkins, water or cutlery several times. The food options were bad and simple. A gas station has better options. The gardens are beautiful and well kept, but that's about it for this place. At some point, I felt jealous of people that go just for pictures but probably stay somewhere else for a fraction of the cost, in this case paying more was not equal to a better experience. We had other issues not worth sharing, but overall we left feeling sad and ripped-off.
Located in Boquete where the higher Panamanian mountains can be found it located this Resort and Spa Luxury hotel, one of the coldest places in Panama due the the 1100 mts high you will spend a relaxing and enjoyable experience, please book at least 3 days to enjoy all Boquete and Volcan Towns.
This was one of the most beautiful resorts we have visited - half resort, half villas and homes that can be rented or purchased - all surrounding gardens and a golf course. It has a spacious club center with pool, gym, and spa where we were able to workout and get good massages. The restaurant looks out on a brook running thru the property and gardens - and the menu was very good! The staff were all pleasant and helpful. Plus, we walked to center of Boquete easily and were able to enjoy local restaurants and shopping. A taxi back to the resort was extremely affordable. All in all - wonderful!
It is such a beautiful place it is just difficult to describe all around mountains a little river is dividing the whole area the living room is spacious for every five or six room there is a private pool changing water every other day the surround is jut undiscribable really perfect and beautifil place to spend a few days really recomendad
It is a pricey hotel, we payed $186 per night for 2 adults, inc. breakfast. First, they gave us a room without AC! Come on, it’s Panama and it is hot and humid. A hotel in this price range should have AC in all rooms!!! We asked and were changed to one win AC (but most rooms don’t have it, only a ceiling fan). Second: breakfast. It was very VERY basic. Scrambled eggs, toasts, 1 sort of cereal, oatmeal, 1 juice and fruit (pineapple, watermelon and melon). It should be WAY better. It was a motel like breakfast. The hotel was built around 10 years ago and it shows. It is clean, nice gardens, nice staff but it is definitely NOT worth $186 per night. Look for other options in the area. We drove by the town and hotel Ladera looks new and nice. There are plenty of B&Bs. Would definitely not stay here again. Very disappointed.
The grounds are beautiful and make a nice place to have a wedding. The spa experience was bad, basically just kept pouring oil on me and cancelled my sister's appointment all together. I don't think the woman giving me a massage has ever been trained. Food was not great, the service was polite but not friendly. This is a small town and they are definitely the nicest place.
