Quiet hotel just on the outskirts of town. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and activities. Gardens are beautiful. Rooms are large. Showers are hot. Restaurant is very good. It has a large bar area with comfortable seats and fireplace. A great area to hang out.

We stayed at Panamonte at the recommendation of a travel consultant we highly respect and who is also Panamanian. Unfortunately we have to agree with our fellow travelers: service provided by the hotel staff is lacking. This started months prior to our arrival when emails went unanswered. We booked in July ‘17 for January and asked for a quiet room and junior suite. We were put in room #1 next to a family of four with small children. Rooms 1 through 6 have external entrances with porches. This means we would hear individuals from each unit pass our room on the brick walkway. When we asked for a room change we were told this was impossible. Then an hour later we were shown room 23, a quiet junior suite on the second floor, which was unoccupied. However we were told we couldn’t change rooms until the following day. The next morning it took 1.5 hours for housekeeping to prepare what looked like a clean room the night before. Room 23 was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Staff misinformed us on the need for reservations at Retrogusto. Great location for walking to all in-town restaurants. No need for a car.

Cool breeze and the fresh coffee each and every morning as we awoke. Hotel/Chalet was just beautiful with its fireplaces as we enjoyed our meals and drinks in the evening. Very private place with center of town just walking distance away. You can enjoy the Caldera river under 3 min. walking distance. Love this place thank you!!

Stayed once again in this small and peaceful hotel in the highlands of Boquete. We enjoyed the service and ambiance, surrounded by nature, flowers and the singing of birds, its an invitation to relax and be at peace. The restaurant is another reason to visit, it offer local ingredients and recipes by its owner and chef Collins and it doesn't matter what time, breakfast, lunch or dinner, it will be a fantastic meal. Very reasonable prices in comparing to Panama City. This is certainly and without a doubt, the best place to stay and eat at Boquete.

We only stayed for one night, but I wish we would have stayed longer. The room and the garden are beyond beautiful. The food was very good, the rooms are clean. The ambiance nice and the service was also good.

I stayed at this hotel on a Backroads bike trip in 2015 (this review is a little late). It's a gem. Quaint. Peaceful. Adorable. Beautiful. Kind staff. The rooms are spacious and decorated wonderfully. Clean. Fabulous dining experience. Though it is a little out from "downtown", it is walkable. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It is one of the most fabulous hotels I have ever experienced.

Our stay in the Panamonte was a little disappointing, especially the restaurant which is the reason for our overall rating. Our room (a Junior suite) was large, clean and comfortable and the well maintained garden was a delight but the restaurant was not what we expected. The menu was fairly limited and the presentation was only average at best. Despite there being several groups with children either staying in the hotel or just using the restaurant, no children's menu/meals available. With other facilities being available in the Boquete area, most likely we would not return to the Panamonte - which we last visited some 30 plus years ago. children's menu was offered.

A lovely hotel on the outskirts of Bajo Boquete. A delightful and very comfortable bar with a great atmosphere is the perfect pre dinner watering hole. The restaurant was quite excellent and the Trout with Almonds was the best I have enjoyed in a very long time. The standard of food and service was up to the highs of my previous visit. Another for the must revisit soon list

The panamonte is a great hotel located in the lovely town of boquete in chiriqui. Most of the staff is very welcoming and facilities are very cozy. They have a great restaurant, very popular for dinner and also with a lovely breakfast. The garden of the hotel is really nice. The front desk team can assist you with some tours organizers as there's many activities in boquete. There was a live pianist at the bar and some nice cocktails made with local spirits. Overall it was a good experience except towards the end, upon checkout the pregnant lady who did the check-out was not friendly at all, didn't smile or even asked us if we enjoyed our stay.

We just spent couple of nights at the Panamonte hotel. Well located for walking to the center. Beautiful garden and rooms. Ask for a garden room, quiet and larger. Food is fine and service good. Reception area needs training. Price is a little high...
