Staff was excellent especially Klara at the front desk, very helpful and personable.

Everything was great! Tours and hotel. Great customer service. Friendly housekeepers. Good restaurants.

The setting and the property are beautiful. Rooms area very spacious and comfortable. Patio with hammock is a wonderful place to hang out and watch the birds. Fantastic pool

Great location. Amazing views. The tours were great. I been to Costa Rica, this resort is the best!.

I was hoping Gamboa would be a luxury rainforest resort. By price it is, By facilities not so much. The food at the bar was cold everytime we ordered it and they did not have half the items available. Service was not up to par for a resort at all. We were also not given an english speaking tour guide for the sunset tour that we booked. If you just want to go to the rainforest and experience the tours, its an OK place. If you want a luxury rainforest resort experience, I recommend going elsewhere.

Hotel looks like it was built in the early 20th sentry. But in fact it was built less than 20 years ago. There is dirtiness and mold everywhere, with not enough staff to keep it in good shape. the pool area looked like it had been forgotten for several years with no upkeep. The staff could never help because they were all busy running around. If you call the front desk you never get anyone to pick up. The place is filled with people from cheap tours that are not even staying at the hotel. It is mostly just used as a pit stop for low budget hurried tours. After reading many great reviews of this place i was overwhelmingly disappointed. The first day i checked in and immediately i decided to cut my stay short by one day. I requested this and they advised me i need to go through my booking agency, so i contacted the booking agency and they reported they had to have permission from the hotel to cancel. the hotel had a less than 24 hour cancellation clause. so even though i was more than 24 hours away from the day i wished to cancel they would not. All this to say my experience was so terrible that i left the hotel knowing i would not get my money back to move into a nice hotel. There is currently construction going on, they are building a giant temporary stage for some event up coming in January or February. quite the eye sore. Oh i almost forgot the food was completely boring and not we cooked. There is no other easy answer to food. Good luck if you stay here.

Awesome a must trip for anyone that looking for peace.

Great expirience. Just wish they would provide bottles of water for the room. They ran out of water on one of the nights. Recommend to buy it before you get there since it has to be purchased.

Lovely property away from urban bustle. Surrounded by nature. Food and service at Monkey Bar was great. Attentive staff. Nice amenities. However we only got coffee for two but we were three. Great night tour was complementary. Our second visit. We will come back!

The hotel was just ok. It looked tired. In need of some care but there were some touches that made the experience pleasant at least such as the pool and waterfall. I’d suggest to book all-inclusive if you come, although the food isn’t great, because it’s $25/PP plus tax for a basic buffet lunch which was disappointing. Also, for a bottle of water that cost $0.40 in the local store, they charged $2.60. And there is nowhere within a great distance to buy your own supplies unless preparing beforehand.

The whole experience is worth. I love the fact that you´re only 16 miles away from Panama´s Skyscrapers and at the same time you´re in this isolation environment within the jungle seeing all kinds of exotic birds.

Many issues - room hadn't been clean upon arrival, cleaning throughout the stay occurred sporadically and often only covered part of the room. Facilities were out of date. No information provided about the hotel facilities - no brochure, booklet, nothing. Tours overpriced. Staff not very friendly. All a bit depressing and disappointing.

By all means NOT a luxury resort, but coming into it knowing that, it definitely exceeded all expectations. The hotel itself is nice enough, not super done up, the toilet didn't flush properly but the shower was lovely. There were obvious cosmetic things they could do to the hotel to real improve upon it as well, so if you are looking for luxury and super clean, this isn't for you. But if you are looking for a truly amazing experience then this is the place! Waking up every morning watching the fog lift from the rain forest and seeing the agouti's and toucans wake up all while drinking your coffee sitting on the hammock was incredible. There are also numerous trails around the grounds that you could walk for days and days. The only downfall is that there was no early morning taxi service. If you need an early morning service you need to pre book it. We wanted to go to pipeline road for birding at 7:00 am and we would have had to wait 40 minutes for a taxi from Panama City to arrive. The hotel should really provide a shuttle to these types of places as they are only 5-10 minutes drive and the location of the hotel attracts a lot of wildlife enthusiasts so this could be a positive thing for them to do. Also, a suggestion, they need to add a vending machine or a shop in which to buy water or Gatorade or snacks. Since there is really nothing nearby, it is difficult to keep yourself hydrated and fed in the heat. The food at the restaurant was very good albeit expensive.

Yes, it needs maintenance, and yes, the service could use major improving, but it is still stunning. Don't expect a lot of food options. Breakfast was lovely on the terrace. I would stay again.

Gamboa is showing its age, but is still an interesting place. They offer a lot of outdoor activities but they are not vigorous sorts of things. The hotel is in serious need of a facelift, but the service is good and the food decent.

The hotel its too old need a remodeling . the road to access it's felling apart. the natural scenery its breath taken .

We always have a good time. Recommend room service.
