My wife and I have stayed in many motels and hotels throughout New Zealand. This, if not the best, would be one of them. The hosts were reasonably new to this occupation but were both professional yet friendly. Nothing was a bother to them. The unit was just right for us. It was extremely clean and equipped just as we needed. Overnight we heard no noise from other units nor from traffic. We had a studio unit. The next morning the proprietors showed us their larger apartments and we wish that we had seen them first because they could only be described as "posh." The difference in price between our studio unit and one of these apartments was a mere $25 for a couple. Whenever we are back in Palmerston North, we will be staying in one of their apartments. Thoroughly recommended.
This was our stopover point for our drive from Rotorua to Welligton and it was perfect. The room had a great kitchen and a washer and dryer. Everything was immaculate and David (the owner) was super friendly.
On our journey from Auckland heading to Carterton, with a loaded van and trailer, my wife and me decided to rest overnight in Palmerston North. Kauri Court was a welcome stop with a helpful hand to unhook and park our trailer. The room was very clean, spacious and warm. We welcomed the friendly reception and help after our long journey. We will have this on our list of stopovers whenever we pass.
Really friendly staff - excellent with the kids. Great value for money. Clean, comfortable, well maintained accommodation. Felt like a home rather than a holiday lodge, plenty os space and good facilities. Great location.
Thanks for the awsome stay. You went out of your way to make our time here good thanks we appreciate all you done! Good place for groups. We would defiantly recommend staying here!!!!😁 thanks again :):):):):):):):)
I was on a short journey from Taupo to Wellington and wanted to have a bit of a look around Palmerston North. Not a lot of tourist attractions but there is still plenty to see, especially the NZ Rugby Museum. My room was upstairs and close to the main road but never heard and traffic noise. Room was very spacious and had a self contained kitchen with plenty of cutlery and crockery. The hotel is within walking distance to the Victoria Gardens which are very nice and have a miniature train ride available (it may not go every day). Check in and out was very easy. The operators are very pleasant. If ever back in Palmerston North I would stay here again.
This motel is at the very high end of quality and is recommended for business people away from home. It felt like an apartment which means that you can relax here. There was no Sky News (that's important to me) but that would be the only 'fault' in my mind with this place.
Describe the service you experienced Tell us how you liked the room Talk about the location & amenities Say what you liked best & least Excellent friendly service from staff friendly warm greeting on arrival Great conference facility spacious comfortable warm room kitchen window directly looked into by neighbouring motel. Kitchen blind is too high to reach
Its the little things that can really help. I escaped Wellington because of the 7.8 earthquake and I really needed somewhere to wind down and relax and Comfort Inn Kauri Court was definitely the perfect place to stay. Quiet, warm, private, very clean and the extra touches made the experience so well worth it. Decent high quality plunger coffee with a proper high quality stainless steel plunger just adds that extra something in a motel stay! The hosts were kind and easy going. I arrived and I was given a large studio with a gigantic comfy king size bed and a lazy boy type leather/office chair, an excellent desk for my laptop and articles I needed to read for work. The WiFi was fast, a there was a lovely comfy leather chair to relax in while I was reading. The spa bath and the exfoliating soap and shampoo and moisturizer were high quality product all for a very reasonable rate. What I enjoyed the most was that the hosts obviously understand what "hospitality" actually means. E.g. randomly being offered a lift to the supermarket in the city is impressive - but its a simple thing that one remembers. Do visit and stay a night or a few nights, you will love it. Service A+++++
We have nothing but praise for the Kauri Court. Diane and David are welcoming pleasant and helpful. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The air conditioner worked really well too. The bed was so comfortable. The wifi was fast. We really can't fault it.
