Had a great time even though I stayed only one day, room was very clean, bed was very comfortable and pool was great. I often read hotel reviews before booking and I see some negative ones here but after my stay came to realized some people are just too picky, you get what you pay for. Great staff and service

Management was very rude. Shower did not work and if you wanted to bathe you needed to use your heal or what ever you could find to fill the tub, unhealthy and unacceptable. When sitting on toilet, door would hit your knees if you didn't close it, which also blocked toilet paper dispenser. Pillows were so hard, they just were worthless. Both Ice machines were empty @ 6:30 A.M. yet parking lot was still full. And to top it all off, Air Conditioner rattled, unless you turned it off and then it got so stuffy you had to turn it back on. When I called to discuss said issues with Hotel Mgr. the next day after returning home, he was so nasty, it was just shocking.

This Hotel is a step up from the ones ending in a "6". The beds were clean and the rest of the room was ok. The showers are terrible. I dreaded going into it every day. The shower head has very little water flow and is at a height for small children. We complained, but after they fixed it, the shower was the same. Our party had 2 rooms, and the other room was the same as ours.

The hotel was worth the price, as it was clean and quiet. The pool and not tub were clean and without many visitors it was like having a private spa. Breakfast was adequate, mainly toast, cold cereals with apples and some pastry. Not a 5 star but not a one star either.

Not happy pool/jacuzzi closed without notification. Left message for manager, who still has not contacted me. BAD BUSINESS - no one takes responsibility.

The door to the room had no rubber at the bottom of it so bugs could come in and you wouldn't even know. The outlet by the sink was not screwed into the wall, so the wires were showing. Their was paint peeling in the bathroom, and their was mold in the shower. They don't have extra blankets, or extra pillows in the room. The pull handle to the patio door fell off in my hand when I went to open it up. There was a hole in the inside of the refrigerator door. The office doesn't have anyone in there if you want to checkout early, you have to call a room number for assistance, which I had to call both the room numbers on the sing five times before anyone answered it. The continental breakfast they offer isn't anything to write home about. Let's just say I wouldn't stay at this hotel even if someone paid me to.

I like this place, although it was disconcerting to come to the office to check in at about 4:30pm, and no staff to greet us for close to 10 minutes. No ice machines functional during the summertime, and staff stating "must be because of heat - try back in an hour", doesn't give me much confidence or belief they care much about their guests.

Great value for the money. Nice view of the mountain. Staff is very pleasant.

Breakfast was just okay. Nothing special. Room was good, no overall noise issues. Hot tub was not working.

I just checked out this motel with more than 15 bites from bedbug after staying just one night. The amenities was not bad, however I don't recommend to stay in this motel. I had bedbugs issue for couple of months so I know exactly how it is.

I was given a room with a closed-in patio, obstructed by a dilapidated fence (no views). Fridge was dirty and carpet looked like it was never vacuumed, with little bugs here and there. Breakfast was so-so.

ROYAL SUN INN IS A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!! I've stayed in 5 stars down to 1 star... My only 1 thing that truly is important is CLEAN Royal sun was that! The room was comfy & clean... Loved the balcony! Great for pre drinks before hitting the town for some partying lol the complementary breakfast bar was fine, it was enough before lunch. THE POOL WAS FASTASTIC! Clean & perfect place to get your golden glow on! Over all.. I would/ will stay here again! Thanks ROYAL SUN.. We were happy

Great hotel for the money. Wasn't looking for anything fancy or upscale. Just a place to stay for the night. Hotel met all my expectations :clean room, cheap price, ample parking and friendly staff. Located in a very good part of town very close to a lot of restaurants and stores. Would definitely stay here again. Pool looked clean but I did not go in. Wifi was provided but again did not use it.

The room was nothing special, but did look like the photos so we knew that going in. We just wanted a clean place reasonable close to downtown which this was. Staff were polite and professional. The only downside to our stay was that our room faced the pool and there was a little girl with a high pitched voice who was sqealing like a stuck pig one afternoon while we were trying to nap. If we go back we'll ask for a room that doesn't face the pool.

The staff was very friendly, and the price was fantastic, even on a Friday night. Every room has a balcony, and ours had a great view of the mountains. It's in a good location, and the moorten gardens are literally across the street. If you are going to take the tram (which I definitely recommend) buy the tickets from the front desk and you will save $2 on each ticket. We loved our palm springs visit and this hotel, and hope to come back soon!

I'd probably be repeating what others have said but this is a comfortable, clean, budget hotel with a nice pool and a location slightly off the beaten path. I was in Palm Springs to look for apartments and this place was my home base. Free continental breakfast included milk, coffee, tea, juice, donuts, various pastries, cereal, make it yourself waffles, apples and oranges. The pool was warm, comfortable temparture and very relaxing. The staff were accommodating (I called to say I would check in late and the front desk made sure I could check in). A clean, affordable stay.

Arrived in the evening, staff was pleasant.. We had morning coffee and breakfast ☕ pool side ...enjoyed the patio ...good enough for passing thru.

I was expecting a little better from the description when I booked the room but it wasn't bad. Finding the small street that it was on was a bit confusing when we arrived but we made it. Checking in was easy, the front desk man was polite but not exactly friendly. There was a very small parking lot for the hotel wish they could expand the lot a little. As we were unloading our things, there was a suspicious man who kept standing nearby staring. I called the front desk to inform him and he sounded annoyed that I had called but still said he would take care of it. Whether he did or not, I have no idea. The room was clean and enough space. Our patio was small but it led directly to the pool and the breakfast room, so that was a plus. The ice machine was on the second floor so we had to take the elevator up, no big deal. The "breakfast" was very mediocre. The only good thing was the make your own waffle. Old fruit and old bread. There were different juices to choose from however. We only stayed for two nights. A plus for us was that there were lots of young college guys staying there and they weren't rowdy so it was eye candy. Friendliness from the employees would have made our stay better. We hung out downtown and that wasn't too far away, especially since we drove. Overall, we won't be staying at this hotel again.

An ok hotel with terrible internet service. When it was working, it was very slow. Oftentimes it wasn't working at all or was slower than a 8k modem. Entirely unacceptable in this day and age.

We been there before. We like the place, the room, the pool... The breakfast was ordinary... out of fruits one morning... Deceived,by the pool... empty pool while we were there... They had problems... changed the water... What we appreciate the most, is the balcony facing the mountains...
