decided (somewhat at the last minute) last month to book a quick Thanksgiving weekend getaway (Fri-Sun) to Palm Springs. I found what I considered a decent deal (right under 300.00) through AARP being that it was during a holiday weekend for a "balcony studio suite". Check in time is 3pm and I received a courtesy call around 5:30pm on Fri en route to the hotel from a very friendly front desk clerk asking if I was still coming. I told her I was stuck in traffic and also informed her of course we were coming cause the deal I chose was non refundable and prepaid.
