I have stayed at this hotel approx 3yrs ago. I decided to return for another extended stay. The staff was always warm and friendly and the manager was just as friendly, making the stay even more comfortable. The breakfast every morning was welcoming. And on Monday to Wed, there is usually a light snack. The rooms were clean and tidy. Our two bedroom suite was well furnished, and but lacked some essential cooking utensils to fully utilize the full kitchen. The rooms should be a bit more brightly lit for my 3yo toddler, but that was rectified by me purchasing an additional floor lamp at the Walmart which was walking distance. I would recommend this place to any traveler
I wanted to like this hotel. First time at a residence inn and read good reviews. I typically stay at springhill suites. My stay was from July 1st to the 2nd. There are two major positive things to say about my experience. The first is I was upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom suite, excellent. The second positive thing I requested early check in (got there at 2:45pm) and recieved it , awesome! Upon check in, lady noticed i requested foam pillows on the app and asked if I wanted all foam. I said yes and she had them replaced immediately. I also requested extra shampoos via the app and did not recieve any nor did I ask. Check in lady did not mention breakfast times or other typical information. I also noticed the lobby had displays of candies and such but it was nearly empty and remained this way throughout my stay. The room was nice but appeared crammed. I immediately noticed the air vent behind the living room TV was very dirty. Later, I also noticed there was a dirty spot of what appeared to be food spill or ketchup spill on the floor near the bottom of the fridge. My own 8 year old daughter commented this was the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in, I agreed. I went down to breakfast half hour before its end, the next morning. I wanted waffles but the container was empty, in fact most containers were empty. I heard this hotel had nutella packets available, did not see any. No one was around so I went to the lobby and asked about the waffles. She assured she would take care of it and she did. She replaced it but it was very thick and difficult to pour. At this point, the breakfast lady appeared and stated she needed to fix it and abruptly removed it. I heard others ask about eggs and breakfast lady did not reply but came back with some and stated something to the effect of, "well breakfast is almost over so thats it for eggs for today". Moments later, I asked for nutella packets and she did not respond, appeared annoyed, and went in the back to retrieve them. I did notice the lobby woman tried to help and when two guests asked for spinach eggs or something, she said it was not typically available on the weekends but she would go get some for them anyway. Thats a positive. However, the eggs were not good, typical powdered type eggs of hotels. I used the small pool with my kids. My son got a splinter by walking by the hot tub. I was able to remove it with my tweezers, it was a tiny glass piece. Not good. It was an average hotel at best and I was surprised it was a Marriott brand. I only stayed one night so I did not report anything but given the many other options, I do not think I will stay here again.
As Marriott Reward Gold members, we usually stay at a Residence Inn so we can bring along our two Boston Terriers. Our family of four can comfortably fit in a one bedroom suite, since there is a pull-out sofa bed, but we were in a two bedroom suite with a full kitchen. There is even an oven in this room type, although we noted an absence of any pans to use it. There were pots and pans for the stovetop, and utensils and dinnerware aplenty if you want to dine in. There is a nice gas grill poolside available for use on a first-come/first-served basis. The pool area was rather smallish but the grounds were well-maintained. I didn't encounter any hostile employees. They all were Marriott-quality. This is a very central location, near I95. A Cracker Barrel is predictably walking distance away, and you are a few minutes' drive from all the downtown WPB amenities. The only not-so-great thing was the complimentary breakfast. The eggs were lukewarm, the sausage patties were soft and soggy, and the sausage gravy tasted slightly suspect. It tasted "off" compared to the many other times we've eaten it at other Residence Inns. Those waffles, though!
This is our second stay here in as many months and we will be back again next month. We come to dive the West Palm Beach area, and this place provides convenient location in terms of places to grab a bite to eat, grocery store and any other type of shopping you might need. We like having a room with a kitchen where we have the capability to make a meal. It is also possible to "Mc Gyver" the room to make space to clean and dry our dive gear.....LOL!!! The staff is always cheerful, friendly and helpful, even with our requests for those extra towels! It is not a fancy place, but always clean and is pet friendly, apparently, as we always see folks with their dogs when we are there. It is also wheelchair friendly, as we have seen wheelchair-bound travelers staying as well. We are loyal Marriott travelers, and have never been disappointed.
Hotel was conveniently located off the interstate but seemed to be in a sketchy area. Daily people would walk up and use the basketball courts and didn't seem affiliated with the hotel and would stay for extended periods of time. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was ok. For the money, it was an average hotel.
This property is a bit unusual for a Residence Inn. There are no king size beds and not every room has a full kitchen. Due to my status, I was given a double upgrade which gave me the full kitchen. The property is clean and located one minute from route 95. Close to shopping. The exercise room is small but you can find inexpensive well equipped gyms nearby. I suggest Rock Fitness at 911 Village Blvd, ask for Jason. The outdoor pool, jacuzzi and grill are pleasant. The manager is friendly, competent and eager to help. The cleaning staff does a good job. Overall this is a good moderately priced choice.
We stayed here while attending some Washington Nationals Spring Training games at the nearby stadium (walkable in nice weather, super-close drive). Great staff, clean hotel, nice amenities, and fun Happy Hours. Would love to return next year!
Below average for a Marriot. Rooms are old and need renovations, sorry throwing paint and carpet at an old room doesn't count. Our room smelled. We had a 2 bedroom, I asked for another and was told non available. Staff was average, not very helpfull. Outdoor pool area was nice, but that's about it. Rooms that face the road are loud, AC system was loud, bathrooms were very old. Disappointing for a Marriot.
Overall I would say this was an average stay. I don't have any major complaints, but I do think this Residence Inn was a little older than some others I'd stayed at. Everything worked and was clean. The TV, however, struggled. It appears that they do not have HD tv's, as ours appeared to be analog. It would freeze about 4 times an hour for about 3-4 minutes at a time. The pool was nice. Just prior to this stay we spent a night at a brand new Residence Inn. They had excellent breakfast options (like strawberries, pineapple, and several cheese selections). The breakfast at WPB was more of a basic breakfast I thought. We stayed 5 or 6 nights, but strawberries were only available one day (cantaloupe available the other days), and bacon was not available any day. Again, there was nothing really wrong with the breakfast, it just wasn't as nice as the newer Residence Inn we were at. They did provide a light dinner one night we were there and that was good.
We checked in at 2:00 pm New Year's Eve New Years morning went to have breakfast. Come back at 10:30 to our room the door was open and our food in the refrige was taken. Front desk had checked us out. Checkout is at 12:00 in room 107
