It was my first trip to the resort and I am glad that I made the right choice. Stayed for two weeks and came back feeling great. The place is beautiful; lots of trees and greens. You can walk to nearby villages and meet the local people who are friendly. The people working at the resort are warm and ever ready to assist you. Made a lot of friends and certainly will go back again. If are looking for place to unwind, distress, rejuvenate and loose some weight, this resort is certainly a place for you.
We stayed at Kairali for a month (January-February 2018), though 3 weeks could have been enough. Would definitely come again. There we were in hands of Most professional and caring doctors, very attentive and warm therapeuts, very tasty and diverse food without any amount limitation (we were never starving as one might think), beautiful and cosy territory. And the most important is the RESULT! It is even better than expected. Our bodies are in tone, skin is shining, we feel a lot of extra energy. The only disadvantage that should one keep in mind - very loud music from a temple near by from 5 to 6 a.m.
My 3 weeks stay at Kairali Healing Village was an excelent experience . It had all the necessery ingredients : an excelent Panchakarma program , a very nice villa , very friendely staff ,good initiating in yoga and meditation , heavenly garden and swimming pool , good vegetarian food and good company from all over the world . I would like to mention the clinic therapists and doctor who cared and accomodated me during the treatment , the front desk and the kitchen staff who surprised me with my birthday together with the general manager Mr Bharathan , the maintenance and outdoor team who cared for the garden and the villas . Thank to their work , Kairali Healing Village is an authentic ayurvedic oasis and a 5 star resort hospitality.
It was an immense pleasure staying at this "ayurvedic health resort" back in Oct 2017. I stayed here with my 2 year old daughter and we had a blast. Hospitality was top notch at this place, food was fantastic and all treatments very authentic. I looked at few places before making the decision to stay here for 14 days. The kitchen and front desk staff were so nice, they pretty much catered to everything I asked for my little one. I would like to mention that I had an updated room so I didn’t have any complain as other reviews (I believe there are in the process of upgrading each cottage one at a time so the guests do not get disturbed). Manager Mr. Bharathan is so humble/caring, he checked with us pretty much everyday, how we were doing. He also offered us an upgrade (suite room) so my little one has more room to play. I definitely recommend this resort if you are looking for most authentic ayurvedic treatment with 5 star resort hospitality.
We stayed for a short stay of 6 days. It was a good experience. Meeting people from all walks of life was an added bonus! Treatments felt relaxing. When we returned we felt refreshed and determined to stay healthy as much as possible. Tip: plan this trip to start a healthy life! The environment here will start you off in a right path
I am a trainer and MD, and my group really appreciated the quality of the service of the whole staff... My favorite spot in Kerala to organize a training! I really recommend if you're looking for an authentic and peaceful oasis place to rejuvenate.
my wife was going to stay and i was just going to drop her off. but, after speaking with the doctors (seemingly very competent, very plain spoken) and undergoing one or two treatments, i also stayed for 2 weeks. the 6:30 am yoga was great, as was the 6:30 pm meditation. we liked our room (108) a lot (though our first room (109) wasn't so pleasant). i enjoyed the first week of treatment, after which it got a bit old for me. my wife enjoyed the full two weeks. internet is available only in the lobby (or just outside).
To relax and unwind in winters one can visit this center. They really make one relax . I got abhyangam massage done . This is done by two people with synchronisation . They rub oil and then u get the steam done . After the spa they serve herbal tea.
The place is just beautiful, the staff was amazing and it was exactly what I needed. I did the the Detox and Rejuvenating Package as i was staying for 7 days only, and still it was just perfect...Just before reaching Kairali I was suffering for a while from stomach bloating - low metabolism - digestion problems - frequent headaches and migranes, weight gain and cold and flu and I have to say that they helped me treat all these, not just on the short run but on the long run since they teach how to sustain the changes you've achieved. Most importantly, this program also helped me to quit smoking!! I've been meaning to do so since years and only this program helped because you were in a dedicated and disciplined environment - in the middle of nature - with experts ayurveda doctors and herbal meds. I also have to say the ayurveda massage treatments are incredible and authentic, from the people giving the treatments, to the oil, and the beauty of the treatment rooms. 2 ladies work on your body on each treatment for maximum effect. The food is great once you're no longer on the panchakarma diet - it made me want to come back and learn more on Ayurveda cooking and diet. Advices for those going there: 1- they have good books in the library but bring yours as well, you will have plenty of time of relaxing and doing nothing 2- Go for a morning walk everyday in the Peacock organic garden they have just outside the entrance to the left, it's one of the most beautiful herbal garden i've seen in Kerala. 3- When you have some time, rent a driver and go around PAlakkad there are some beautiful things to see - the beautiful receptionist will help you 4- If you plan to quit smoking or lose weight this is the perfect place to go to. Few downsides: - Though both of them were really nice and knowledgeable, I found it a bit hard to follow and understand the English speaking of the Yoga and meditations teachers. - The transportation from Chochin airport was expensive, around $100 Other than that, i certainly plan to go back every year to the exact same place!
What can I say, well quite a lot actually. For me first impression is the welcome and energy of the place, have to say I was overwhelmed. Wonderful family atmosphere very helpful and discreet at the same time. The room or cottage was of a very high standard, positioned for privacy and feeling of personal space. The enviroment was tranquil, a wildlife filled stream meandering through the whole garden generally adjacent to the footpaths to see and experience throughout the day. I am an Ayurvedic chef so I went there with a slightly critical eye which lasted until the first meal, well designed and balanced with kitchen taking in every dietary requirement necessary. I spent 2 days in the kitchen, beautiful and the hygiene standard of a London hotel kitchen. I was inspired and left with only respect and the feeling that I know less than I thought I did. I did not undergo any treatment as it was a visit in view of returning for a month in March to help in the kitchen which will be for sure happening. Last thing I will say if you have read so far, is that I spent meal times with a group of Indian expats living all over with experience in comparable places, all spoke very highly at the treatment and the level of professionalism given and all would return. Go and rejuvenate without reservation and don't let the remote location put you off, it's the journey that's important..
