Went there only for one night and I'll make sure next time to stay longer. Amazing large bedroom, clean, quiet and comfortable. Large breakfast with all sorts of choices (incl vegan and bio/ organic) Great service, beautiful pools felt very relaxed although was there for work
Stayed at this hotel for one week last September and 6 days last year (exactly one year apart).. It is a great hotel with the best location in Abano Terme....attentive staff, beautiful premises and pools I did not rate it last year for my 2016 stay but if did ..I would rate it 5 stars. Comparing my two stays I have to downgrade the 2017 stay to 4 stars for the following reasons... Check in: We arrived in the morning around 11 am ...hotel reception checked us in, provided with room nbr and said that our room was not ready yet therefore we need to wait 20-30 mins. Our small luggage was taken by hotel employee to secure storage (as we have been told). We stayed in a lobby waiting and waiting ...every time we inquired about the room the answer was it was still not ready ..around 2 pm hotel's (check in time is 2pm) my husband went upstairs to look what was going on and found that room was not even touched for cleaning. We requested to talk to the manager and he immediately organized room cleaning and handed room key to us. At the time we moved into the room (2 pm) we found cleaning lady there still vacuuming the room. I also want to mention something about luggage storage. I learned that there was no locker room to keep luggage. While I was waiting 3 hours for the room I wanted to access my suite case so I asked the reception to take me to my luggage ... first she could not find it in a storage room (with doors open there) and started to check other possible places and t finally located it in some back room Now few comments regarding food in the restaurant ... food was good and fresh .. however this year buffet selection seemed to offer less variety then in 2016
Beautiful location at centre of Abano pedestrianised area. Had often looked at it but did not think it affordable. I was mistaken. Ample, private balcony to room and excellent pools, leisure facilities and services. Totally recommended. It's worth it!
Just spent a week there and it was heavenly. From the incredibly well designed parking area (the roof covering has a skirt hanging down that practically protects your car from the implacable sun rays at all hours), to the fabulous thermal complex (mud applications, several pools at different temperatures, saunas, Turkish bath, hydro massages), from the delicious food to the impeccably appointed rooms, from the old world decor to the manners of almost every member of the staff, it would be very difficult to find a better hotel. And, just about everything listed above, is included in the price. I definitely recommend 'Pensione completa' I.e. all three meals. A final note: having advised Concierge Enrico that, on the last day, I would be departing before lunch, he arranged for a hearty sack lunch in an elegant cloth bag, to be picked up when I turned my room key in.
First impressions are deceiving Luxury old style spa hotel Staffed by unbelievably ignorant management Whilst swimming in one of their many thermal outdoor pools in the blazing sun,my wife and I were told by customer relations manager that guests complained about wearing sun shirts in the pool. Instead of explaining to other guests what these suspicious sun shirts were we were embarrassingly asked to compromise and were assured that no one in Abano has ever worn or seen a sun shirt. We warn people who have fair skin not to come here. How ironic for a thermal spa resort who is supposed to be all about good health. It's much more preferable to sunbathe here either topless or in skimpy bikinis. These sun shirts is recommended anti cancer protection against strong sun and melanoma. They are universally endorsed but clearly not by ignorant customer relations management
It begins with the various indoor and outdoor pools with all the known hydro massage facilities. The pools are crystal clear, the floor is somehow always dry. The whole complex is shining clean. Staff is very friendly with excellent service. Food of high quality and they open for any special request. Stayed in the deluxe room which was decent. Not too big but really O.K. The only remark is that I would change the bath towels to a bigger and thicker ones.
Earlier I thought that such phrases from hotel booklets as "relaxing atmosphere" and "helpful staff" are just advertising tricks. But it's not the case with "Trieste & Victoria". The most incomprehensible phenomenon for me is the fact that, though the hotel is usually fully booked, you feel as if you were there almost alone, like at home. No crowds. No "Tower of Babel". Moreover, the place has a fascinating history behind it. Two rooms on the first floor in the older part of the hotel housed the headquarters of commander-in-chief Armando Diaz in the last year of WWI. The hotel manager was very kind to take us on an improvised excursion to Diaz's apartment)) Nevertheless, the place may seem boring to younger people or families with communicative children in constant need of a company to play with)
It is old style hotel.Reception not very freindly. No kettle in the room (4 stars ). The balcon was full of siggarets ashes. The breakfast has very little choice of vegtables (healthy hotel). On the positive side: Fantastic area of terme pools and very nice gardens.
Abano has many old Hotel ruins from the good old times. Grand Hotel Terme Trieste & Victoria is old but newly and luxury renovated. More construction is in progress. The pools for thermal bathing are different with many good options. The garden is an oasis. The rooms are big and comfortable. Out of the hotel entrance is a traffic free promenada for shopping and café/bars. Be aware of the drinks in the hotel. We paid EUR 12 for an Aperol Spritz at the hotel bar. The dinner buffet looks immense with oysters and many other fine food. The restaurant opens at 7:30 p.m. which is very late. Many people were waiting for the door opening. This means also crowds at the buffet. There is no free seating. Covered self parking is easy and free, just next to the hotel. Overall, the hotel does offer many services with good quality, but at the end, it's expensive.
We've been coming to this hotel for six straight years, usually for two week stays, We love the picturesque town with its many walking streets. We choose full board because the food is outstanding and the accommodations superb. There are 5 pools to luxuriate in with different water features in each and the spa facilities are terrific. The staff is quite attentive. We'll probably return next year. bert Bauman
