Grand Hotel Trieste & Victoria5.0 out of 5.0

Earlier I thought that such phrases from hotel booklets as "relaxing atmosphere" and "helpful staff" are just advertising tricks. But it's not the case with "Trieste & Victoria". The most incomprehensible phenomenon for me is the fact that, though the hotel is usually fully booked, you feel as if you were there almost alone, like at home. No crowds. No "Tower of Babel". Moreover, the place has a fascinating history behind it. Two rooms on the first floor in the older part of the hotel housed the headquarters of commander-in-chief Armando Diaz in the last year of WWI. The hotel manager was very kind to take us on an improvised excursion to Diaz's apartment)) Nevertheless, the place may seem boring to younger people or families with communicative children in constant need of a company to play with)
It is old style hotel.Reception not very freindly. No kettle in the room (4 stars ). The balcon was full of siggarets ashes. The breakfast has very little choice of vegtables (healthy hotel). On the positive side: Fantastic area of terme pools and very nice gardens.
Abano has many old Hotel ruins from the good old times. Grand Hotel Terme Trieste & Victoria is old but newly and luxury renovated. More construction is in progress. The pools for thermal bathing are different with many good options. The garden is an oasis. The rooms are big and comfortable. Out of the hotel entrance is a traffic free promenada for shopping and café/bars. Be aware of the drinks in the hotel. We paid EUR 12 for an Aperol Spritz at the hotel bar. The dinner buffet looks immense with oysters and many other fine food. The restaurant opens at 7:30 p.m. which is very late. Many people were waiting for the door opening. This means also crowds at the buffet. There is no free seating. Covered self parking is easy and free, just next to the hotel. Overall, the hotel does offer many services with good quality, but at the end, it's expensive.
We've been coming to this hotel for six straight years, usually for two week stays, We love the picturesque town with its many walking streets. We choose full board because the food is outstanding and the accommodations superb. There are 5 pools to luxuriate in with different water features in each and the spa facilities are terrific. The staff is quite attentive. We'll probably return next year. bert Bauman
I spent 4 days and nights here last week on a quick trip from Australia. The head concierge and all staff very helpful allowing me an earlier check in due to my very early arrival. Always smiling, friendly and helpful and I was able to relax around the pools and also in my room. I consider wifi essential and it was an excellent connection for me and I recommend the hotel to everyone. The staff all spoke english too, which for me was great and my italian is limited to only a few words.
We stayed in a Junior suite, rooms are of a big size, with nice bathrooms. Breakfast looks a bit modest in this luxury place, but it's worth visiting for its SPA facilities and 3 beautiful pools. We enjoyed saunas, White Spa, Funghi procedure and swimming) Would love to come back here again
renovated great hotel , large rooms, great food and service, wonderfull termal pools, no kids place ' mostly senior citizens , attentive reception in a nice tourism town with Italian good shopping and small cafes and restaurants, bus drive to Padova, one hour train to Venice
My wife and I came here as I was on a business trip and she was looking to relax. We had stayed at other thermal bath hotels in the area. We found Trieste and Victoria to be far better than the others. The room was very large, Junior Suite, with separate changing area and very large balcony. They leave you with two robes, one for the spa and one for the bath. The service at the front desk was amazing. They also have activities planned each day, such as whiskey tasting or day trips to Venice. The only knocks for me were: hard bed (but huge), no coffee in room, and expensive water in room fridge. I will stay here again as the pools and sauna are the best.
From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like we were someone special! Such a beautiful place, the staff goes out of it's way to make sure your stay is memorable. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. The food in the dinning room is perfectly prepared and the wait staff are all professionals. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. And I'd love to come back some day!!! Thanks for a wonderful 10 days! K. C.
A nice relaxing hotel located in the city centre of abano terme where to spend a couple of days or a weekend in thermal hot swimming pools. The spa is a must try as newly renovated: tried the Haman experience and it's worth a visit.
