After driving almost 6 hours, it was time to stop but we, a party of 12, didn't have a hotel or plan to stop anywhere. We didn't have to look far because this hotel in Oxford/Anniston was able to accommodate us. When you driving off the interstate make a right then a left at the next light, you drive down and see a lot of hotels swallowing this one until you come around left at the stop sign. This one has 2 levels, no elevator. The first room had wrinkled sheets so we asked for another one. Breakfast was good, cereal, hot cereal, waffles, etc. The lady working to fill and clean the area was so nice, except she was an Alabama fan. lol. Overall, good one night stay.

We arrived after midnight. There was an issue with checkin. James was the employee on duty. We made the reservation with the reservation line for Choice Hotels. After the checkin issues were resolved, we entered the room which was 2 beds non smoking 2nd floor near interstate. The room looked recently refurnished. We were pleased. Beds were excellent with high, clean, comfy mattresses. Room was clean. Microwave and fridge provided. Air conditioner worked well and kept room cool. The room met our needs. Would recommend.

My husband and I were on our way to our honeymoon in Myrtle Beach. We decided we were too sleepy and needed to stop and sleep. It was around 1:30 in the morning. The outside of the hotel looked very cozy and nice. And online at Hotels.com, we saw that it was decently priced. Upon entering our room, it was probably 90 degrees in there. I understand that it was extremely hot outside, but I don't think there is an excuse for the air being off. It took a good hour and a half for it to cool down. My husband and I had to stay awake because we were sweating so much. While my husband took a shower, I noticed the cigarette burns in the bedspread. I go to pull back the covers and see a few dark black long hairs on the pillows. I knew it wasn't mine considering my hair is light brown, and I had not even been on the bed yet. There were stains on the pillow cases and in the sheets. I had to take every pillowcase off just so we could sleep. The smell was overwhelming in the pillowcases and sheets. I felt extremely nasty sleeping in that bed. When we woke up in the morning, our microwave did not work. Also, we checked in at 1:30 am, but at 7:50 in the morning, we woke up to beating on our door saying "housekeeping". I had to yell twice that my husband and I were still sleeping., because she kept knocking. We were extremely displeased with our stay, and very exhausted. A hotel is a place you go to sleep and relax. This place provided the opposite. I complained the next morning in a very nice and respectful way, because I am not a rude person. The woman said there was nothing she could do because "the manager wasn't there." We will never return to a Quality Inn again, especially the one in Oxford Alabama! There was no quality here. It is not difficult to simply clean your sheets. We will definitely not return, and we will make sure we spread the word!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. On the way back from a business trip we stopped here due to being stuck in heavy rain, it was after 9 pm, and we are part of the Choice Rewards program and I wanted to accumulate more points. Desk clerk was fine but made a comment about us being lucky to have clean sheets because of something that happened this past weekend, cigarette butts all over property, worn carpet in our room, a lamp missing next to the bed, the shower curtain rail falling off the wall, no juices at breakfast, no milk at breakfast, no meat and few eggs at breakfast and very dirty tables in the breakfast room. Unhealthy and unhygenic. This place is terrible.

The room was ok. My comforter had cigarette burns in it. The carpet was stained with patches of carpet missing. I stopped here traveling to Houston. The value was not that great. I will spend a few extra bucks and choose another property in the vicinity.

Sleep in your car, this place is nasty. The room stunk, the smell of body odor was overwhelming. I went to the office and they gave me something to spray. There was a cigarette burn in the bedspread, there was enough mold on the shower curtain to grow my own penicillin. The shower curtain was barely hanging on the wall, the rod was bent, the toilet seat was cracked. The only sink in the room apparently used to be from a wet bar, it was so high you had to stand on your tip toes to get a drink...and I am 6'2", my 5'4" wife had no chance. She got bit by something near the sink and I got bit while in bed. The front door had just been painted, there was over spray everywhere. The A/C worked good and the breakfast was ok and the people friendly.... my friend stayed in an adjacent room where the shower head was held on with a rubber band. I would NEVER stay here again.

photos speak for themselves - stained everything from sheets to toilet seat. In town for race weekend and rooms are scarce which is how they can get away with selling in this condition. If you must stay here, bring flip flops for shower, general walking on floors

Upon entering my room and closing the door I found a used rag laying on the floor in the corner. The heating unit frame was broken and filled with dirt. The lamp shade was broken, the chair was broken. The corners in the bathroom was caked with dirt. The breakfast was very limited. The wifi would never connect. No one seemed to care about the problems. Save your money go somewhere else

We've stayed at this hotel for over 18 years & always got a decent rate for NASCAR weekend. This year my credit card had been stolen which was holding the reservation. I called right after it was stolen to make sure all was well with reservation & was told it was. Called 4 days before race to be told that reservation had been cancelled because credit card on file wasn't valid. They didn't notify me of cancellation & reinstated the reservation but at double the rate!! Corporate called on our behalf & got no where with the owner Mr Patel. Since quality inn or quality crap took over the Jamison inn it has gone down hill. Will NEVER stay there again. There was dried blood on both beds & when we asked for clean sheets we got attitude. I said just give me the sheets & we will change them ourselves. Do yourself a favor & stay somewhere else with some quality!! Doesn't even deserve the one star but had to rate something!

Rooms are old and not up to date. The breakfast is lousy and on top of that my towels were dirty. Would not recommend. The rates are fair but you are not getting your money's worth. This is an old Jamison Inn that was bought out Really a disappointment for a Quality Inn
