We tried 3 different rooms before settling. One room was filthy, the second already had occupants, the third was tolerable but it had items left from previous occupants. The furniture and walls were damaged. We were desperate and they did have rooms when no other hotels did. The front desk lady was nice.

Room was not ready at six thirty PM. When it was ready there were bugs in the bed and in the bath tub We had to be moved to another room!

Hotel is older, but serviceable. Room was fairly clean. The breakfast, however, was literally non existent. Ho hos and twinkies and an empty milk jug aren't what I would call breakfast!

Two complaints, wifi kept kicking me off leading to overuse of data on my cell phone, and there was something on the ceiling right above my bed that looked like blood spatter from a crime scene that was clearly not even attempted to be cleaned up. Room 103

First Night was Super NOISY and understand that you can't control kids running thru the halls and loud TV's. The Second night was quiet. Nice staff and totally worth the price. Thanks

This was actually one of the more updated-looking Microtels I have stayed in. Make no mistake, you get what you pay for, and you don't pay for much. Try to pay little attention to the dirty carpets and scuzzy corners and you'll be ok. Breakfast is passable as food. Overall a good enough stay if you're just looking for a place to snooze.

I was suppose to get a nonsmoking room and did not. They did go out of there way to move me to another room for my second night.

It was everything that I thought it would be for the price that we paid. My daughter enjoyed the breakfast and the staff was nice enough always said hello and wanted to know if we needed anything. I would stay again especially for the price we paid.

everything was good except my wife had trouble with the size of the room

Just needed a room for a nught , but the bed was so bad it would have been more comfortable sleeping in the truck.

We were in Owatonna for a nephew's graduation and spent most of our time away from the hotel, but needed a place to sleep. We were upgraded from a two bed room to a suite with a pull out couch. The bed in the pull out was lumpy and not comfortable for our 13 year old. However, the bed was hard and uncomfortable as well, so not sure the room with two beds would have been any better! The room was clean and the continental breakfast was great, but need to improve the beds!

My husband and I traveled to Owatonna to meet some family that was in town for the night. We stayed at the Microtel and had a great stay; the front desk staff was wonderful, the motel was clean and we even got upgraded to a Tempurpedic bed for no additional charge.

will look elsewhere next time

The room was small, but for what we needed - an overnight stop - it was good. Breakfast was adequate. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no pot and no filters - so couldn't make fresh coffee.

The hotel is easy access to the highway and convienently located. However our room was just a basic room, but well equipped for a handicapped individual, which we are not, and could have been more enjoyable with amenities in the room. Our friend's room was very small/cramped and had not been cleaned. For an overnight stay where we did not want a high cost, this worked. Staff was pleasant when available, but we were really turned off by the smoking area being located at the door - not everyone wants to smell that and it should be located off to the side so non-smokers do not have to walk through/past it.

The room was very, very small, but we had a Tempurpedic mattress which was very comfortable.
