Great coffee 24 hours a day! Very comfortable beds but the indoor polo is not hot and you have to walk outside to go to the pool.

Our room was very large & hotel staff was very friendly! Great location on beach & in the middle of everything. We loved the Beachside bistro. Went to happy hour there every evening. Only complaint we had was the faint smell in our room, possibly a moldy, musky smell but other than that, our stay was perfect! Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our trip. Was there for the weekend for a wedding ceremony. The hotel was clean and the staff was nice.

My husband and I enjoyed the stay... great location. Lady working the bar was super great! The staff were more than helpful....over all, I would stay here again.

We stayed in an oceanfront room on the fifth floor. The views were amazing! I would definitely stay here again with my family. The hotel was located near fun activities like miniature golf, bumper cars, museums, and parks.

Overall a good experience -- decent stay and not much negative to say -- other than the hotel is showing its age and could benefit from some basic improvements -- carpets, door locks, towels. Not a bad place, just a perfectly 'okay' experience.

Make sure to look for oceanfront rooms. The description on my reservation did not show show room types and pics on the hotel's website leads you to believe it is nicer than it is. Our room had a nice view of the parking lot. The room smelled of whatever chemical they were using to try to cover up the musty smell. There were ants in the bathroom and on our bed. The patio door and room door had to be slammed shut by slamming your shoulder into it. The front desk woman at night was just plain rude. The woman in the mornings was really nice; not sure why the disparity. It is right on the beach and right by a lifeguard stand. Again, if you stay here make sure it's an oceanfront room. Also only about a quarter of those have a normal patio. The rest of the oceanfront rooms are have a patio with a screen that can't be opened; very odd.

Very clean room with plenty of space. Very comfortable and right on the beach. Great central location for food and attractions. Our favorite place to stay in the Outer Banks. We will definitely be back.

Overall I enjoyed my stay, however my room was located on the first floor next to the ice machine which made it noisy with the sounds of ice dropping throughout the night. The room has a damp , moldy odor which made the room uncomfortable . As a one night stay it was okay but I could not see staying for more than a day.

We got to the hotel on Friday night and the parking lot was pretty much empty. I guess that goes without saying in the off season at OBX. The front desk staff were pretty helpful. There was a card that I had to fill out with all of my info on it. I also had to include my car type and license number. The room was fine. It was clean, had enough towels, all that jazz. There is also a balcony, which was great, but it wasn't open. There were windows that you had to open to look out side. The lighting wasn't the greatest and was pretty dim in the room. The hotel was close to a lot of restaurants and other attractions. I wish that the hotel would allow you to just leave when you check out. This is often the case when you book online. But, I had to go down to the front desk at 5 in the morning (I was there for a very early event) and check out. I would recommend this to a friend, but it is very bare bones. If you want something very fancy, this is not the place for you.
