My room was very small but I was traveling solo so it was fine. The people here are very nice. The hotel itself is kind of old fashioned.

Second time I've stayed at this hotel. First time stayed in standard sized room, which was small and bare bones. This time we upgraded to better room and it was large, recently remodeled, had large coffee pot, refrigerator, couch, and chair. Much, much better. I'd recommend that you spend the extra money, which was only around $25 more for us, and get a much nicer room than the small, standardized sized room.

Location was great, but the room was incredibly small. The in-room WiFi was too slow for me to get anything done. Ended up using my phone as a HotSpot.

Very clean room with a comfortable bed! Just a quick walk up a ramp to the beach :)

Proximity to the beach and the pool are the best features. The staff grumbled when asking for assistance. The standard rooms are too small and very outdated. The price is too high for the experience.

Had a great experience at the hotel. There is a need for some general maintenance for bathroom doors and exterior, but the room was very clean and the people were very nice. Recommended.

Great breakfast, great overall service and very short walk to the beach

Prime location, short wak over the dune to the beach. The maid service does a fast job, not the best job. Vacuuming was awful. Never left cups for bathroom use. They're knovking on your door before 9 am. There was nothing friendly about the desk staff. They judt didn't seem to want to be there. The nicest one during the entire stay was Saturday morning as we wete checking out. Bed was a bit worse for the wear. Could feel the spring coils on your back while you laid down. For the money, you can do bettet

Small but efficient. No need to go out for breakfast bc they have a good one in lobby. Comfortable lobby with real fire going. Good hotel for a basic stay not for the picky traveler.

We were very pleased with the staff, room, and breakfast!

Very small room, but it was clean. Nice breakfast.

Great hotel in excellent location. Stopped for a day to recharge my batteries on a road trip for business. Would definitely recommend it for that or vacation.

The room we rented was extremely small, which was exactly what we were looking for because we were only in the room to shower and sleep. The location was central to everything in Kill Devil Hills and right on the beach. The staff was friendly and very helpful. A very memorable weekend!

We really enjoyed this hotel's location on the beach and proximity to many local restaurants and stores. It was so convenient! We picked this hotel over another one that required a 10 minute walk to the beach, and I'm so glad we did! We would consider staying here again if we come back to the Outer Banks.

THE GOOD: The location was fantastic. Located right in the middle of everything. Just a short walk through the sand to a very nice beach. Had no complaints with the staff as they were friendly and seemed to keep the room fairly clean. THE BAD: Pool was very sketchy. Looked like algae growing on the sides and bottom. Not too sure it was maintained at all. I have never seen birds land to bathe and drink out of a pool in my life. DO NOT TAKE ROOM 114. Room entrance is directly in the lobby. No outside entrance like the other rooms. The noise from the lobby and from other people burning their waffles at the complimentary breakfast will keep you up. Overall not bad for the money compared to the rates at the other hotels as long as you avoid 114.

It isn't perfect, but it is a nice place to stay... Good Breakfast and nice location on beach... In the middle of Kill Devils Hills so you have pick of restaurants either direction.. Manteo is a short drive as well.. I would go back again...

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great for going to the beach just a step out the back door.

Room was a bit small but once I said something they switched me right away. Bathroom seemed to be upgraded which was nice but the mattress needs to be upgraded it was extremely hard. The hotel inside is very nice and clean. Overall it was a 3 out 5 experience. I have stayed in worse.

THE ROOM WAS TOO SMALL FOR THE PRICE. THE MOTEL WAS GREAT IN ALL OTHER RESPECTS.

FRIENDLY STAFF, NICE BREAKFAST, **RIGHT ON THE BEACH!!, ROOM WAS CLEAN JUST VERY SMALL, JUST ENOUGH ROOM TO WALK AROUND EACH BED AND THAT WAS IT. I WAS FINE WITH THAT, BUT SOME WOULD NOT BE. I WOULD STAY AGAIN, BUT MY FAMILY WOULD NOT.
