The hotel itself is a dump, the waterpark is great for the kids, staff very friendly. Breakfast was okay, needs to add waffles or pancakes. The rooms were old and the bathroom was old and moldy. Management needs to put some work in the place.

The hotel is very old and not well maintained. We mainly go there for the water park, which is great

I didnt' use the hotel much, I just stayed one night. But my room had no heat and I was too lazy to complain at 9 at night. but other than that the staff were pleasant.

This hotel could be good, but the rooms are very loud you can hear everything in the hallway and everyone out there can hear you. The staff was a bit rude when we showed up a day late for our reservation even though we called as soon as we knew our flight was delayed and gave notice of it. The internet service wouldnt work for the full stay, and the movie rental service kept cutting out halfway through rentals. On the plus side the hot tub and small wave pool were nice, but their waterslide was out of service!

Unfortunately this hotel is not up to TravelLodge standards. I remember it when it was "The Talisman", and it had great ambiance then; now it's just old. Clean, but old. Parking and lighting in the parking area is a problem, and building access from parking areas is horrible, especially when carrying suitcases. But the staff are great - helpful, caring and knowledgeable. Their service is a refreshing change in a world where other service industries treat their customers like enemies.

it was old, run down, and dirty! and to top it off bed bugs! i will never make another reservation here again

Road construction made getting to Hotel difficult. Ice machine not working and hall noise was disturbing

This hotel is meant for families with small children who want to use the water park. Every room faces the water park, and the screaming of kids starts at 8 am when the water is turned on. The rooms smell of chlorine. Not a restful and pleasant stay if you do not have small children and want to sleep in past 8 am on a weekend. Cleanliness is an issue and beds are a disaster. Way over-priced.

Wave pool and hot tub were fun but all my sterling silver jewelery turned black so not sure what was in the water.Room was musty and next to a door in the corridor which made it noisy. Also all the rooms backed on to the wave pool so it was like living in a community pool building.Roads outside were being dug up and the one way system make for convoluted driving but it was close to down town and all the attractions.Staff were helpful. Parking was terrible- meetings going on in some of the rooms so lots of outside guests- got boxed in and had to go through the parking garage in my mini van (there was a 5foot 6 inch limit) and the top of my van got dinged. Had to park way at the back- not a safe walk at night alone.

Lots of parking. Freindly staff. Buffet breakfast, 2 prices, hot or cold. I would go back. big shopping centre across the street. Close to the Queensway.

We made good use of the water park. The staff where fantastic, and great with my autistic daughter. Thank you.

Family wedding.

If you take the highway the hotel is only 12 minutes from downtown Ottawa. There is so much to do. We took a city bus tour which was very informative. We also took a boat cruise which was excellent. So many places to eat and lots to see.

very noisy, parties going all till 3:00 am, running up and down the halls
