Our visit got of to a very poor start when the lodge were only expecting us for one night's bed and breakfast, but we had paid Expedia for two night's half-board. The reception staff eventually accepted our voucher for two nights, but the reception manager told us we would have to pay for dinner. It was only after dinner on our second night, when we spoke to Schalk Mueller, the lodge manager, that everything was resolved to our satisfaction. This somewhat spoiled our stay, however it would not put me off returning.
