Good hotel for money and a short stay. Minimum amenities. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

good place if you are going to grunerloekka / groenland area. ,tram just outside takes you into downtown

I stayed here twice coming and going through Oslo and was very pleased both times. There is a generous breakfast buffet, I had nice views from my room, good internet, and the staff was very helpful with preparing a breakfast box for my early departure and giving me directions about early buses. Several buses and trams run right by the hotel making it easy to reach destinations around the city. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station that connects to the airport. There are many restaurants just north of the hotel that are easy to walk to and a path runs along the river that is perfect for strolling or jogging or connecting to other parts of the city. Note - There is a hostel right next door that is often confused with this hotel (Anker hostel).

Reasonable hotel. Very close to a tram stop. Short walk into town.

Nice and modern hotel in Oslo downtown, just a few minutes walking distance from Oslo S Central Station. Warm welcome and a free tea or coffee voucher received from front desk staff. Wifi is free but slow during evening. The room was relatively small but clean and fresh. The hotel is located in a nice area full with bars and restaurants.

It was nice clean hotel, the area where it's located could be little better. Overall it was good experience!

Stayed for one night en route from Copenhagen to the USA via Oslo airport. It is reasonably convenient for the train station. Room was very satisfactory, everything clean and functional. Check in and out was straightforward and quick. Wifi was free, as was breakfast, which was a buffet with a reasonably good choice including cold cuts, cheese, hard and soft boiled eggs. The only negative is that the place is a bit far from the city center (10 minutes walk or so), and it is on the border of the eastern side of town, where the district becomes a bit more... I wouldn't say rough, but certainly more working class and multi-ethnic. Elderly people, or single women, might feel safer using a taxi at night.

Although the location is a little bit far from the center of the city, it's not difficult to reach travel spots by trams. Room is spacious, view is gorgeous, staffs are kind. I can recommend this hotel.

The hotel is walking distance to the center. Coffee at the lobby is not complimentary. You can use 2 terminals if you don't carry your own laptop.

I've already recommended Oslo Anker Hotel to family & friends, including their visiting Oslo. Had positive experiences with everyone I came in contact, sightseeing, photo opportunities, & public transportation (subway, bus, tram, & ferry).

Norway is incredibly expensive, so finding a decent hotel close to public transport is imperative. This hotel serves well. Staff was quick to correct any issues. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Very good experience with the entire package. Reservation was easy and there were no surprises during our stay.

The hotel has a great location, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Free breakfast with lots of options. Part of what made my time in Norway so great was my experience at this hotel. Best value I've found in Oslo.

close to central train station, big room with view and close to river.basic breakfast

The hotel is very clean and locate just minute from the city center and the trendy Grünerløkka neighborhood. The tram stops right outside as well. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic - large and lots of options!

Great location. Friendly staff. Basic room. If you just need a convenient place to crash in Oslo, look no further.

Loved the breakfast. Otherwise food was a bit of a problem, with no really good restaurants obviously in the area. I bought a non-alcohol bottle of wine in the bar to take to my room. The bartender had handed it to me to read. I missed the part about no alcohol. I wanted a hit and then snoring. So I would have liked a little more information that was clear to me. Liked the bartender, since I was there alone and had no one to talk to. Good bus connection and easy to get to the train.

Some northern hotel rooms are pretty small--this was not like that. True, I had a single, but I've had singles that didn't give you enough room to change your mind. I loved the breakfast buffet, plenty of variety. The bartenders were open to a little chit chat when not busy. The bus stops outside and goes to the train station and other stops.

We fit three into a triple, and although it half looked like it was robbed (there was no mini-fridge although there was clearly a built-in counter for it), the hotel was perfectly acceptable. The receptionists were wonderful & very helpful in giving advice. Nothing extraordinary but given our expectations for a low-cost place, we were in no way disappointed.

The hotel is in a lower end neighborhood, but felt plenty safe. Very convenient location - very close to the tram, which goes all over Oslo. Very helpful staff. Great breakfast. Nice room.
