First level cottage rentals will not satisfy most individuals. They are definitely lacking in quality. The upgraded facilities if purchased are noticeably better. However the staff is outstanding. We had a problem with our initial Cottage and the staff immediately made it right by moving us to an upgraded unit. They were extremely understanding and more than willing to work with us to make sure we were satisfied. Highly recommend booking second or third level cottages

When my friend and I checked in, the hotel staff were not professional or friendly. They were complaining about rooms booked on Orbitz, and asked me to wait while they figured out my reservation. After waiting in the lobby with no explanation of what was happening, I was finally given a cabin key. I asked them what was wrong, and they said they messed up booking on their end. While we were waiting for everything to get settled, they locked the doors and said they were closing. We got to our cabin and immediately started questioning our decision of staying. The walls were dirty with dust, mold and wood rot. The bath tub had dead bugs in it and and the bathroom smelled of smoke even though our room was nonsmoking. The smoke detector had been pulled out of the ceiling in the kitchen and the deadbolt on the front door(where one of the beds laid), was broken. My friend started to have an allergic reaction to the room, and we finally said we can't stay here any more after finding dirty sheets with small black bugs dead in the sheets. We called the emergency number and talked to a sweet man who immediately told us to come to the security stand and he would give us a new cabin. He escorted us to the new cabin and made sure everything met our standards before he left. The new cabin was everything we could hope and dream and so clean. If you find yourself in a similar predicament, do not be afraid to ask for a new cabin before deciding to leave.

This was a comfortable place to stay with your own space, it was quiet, clean, bright and didn't feel crowded.

Many years ago we visited Tropical Palms. This year I wanted a vacation that involved sitting on the deck and if I got bored, I could walk to the pool. Tropical Palms was the answer. Certainly any married man knows even if the wife agrees to such a relaxing vacation, he going to go shopping, to the beach, some fine dining......That's OK. It's all there in Kissimmee, plus Disney is just minutes up the road. The staff is wonderful. The cabins prevent noise from the next room or clomping above your head. The resorts "quite time" hours are respected. Overall, you go here to RELAX!

Very clean . Very well thought , it has everything you will need Sofa bed uncomfortable

Beds felt like they had rocks in them...no hangers in closet, unit in need of repair and painting.

Nice little cottage. Nice pool, close to food and bars. Shop around for best price.

Nice clean place to stay. Very comfortable for our family. Loved it!

When I arrived no your not getting a 2 bed premium cottage, your getting a three squeezed into a cabin, it stank even with plug ins. The front desk says it's too much trouble to move you at check in. So I gave it a couple of hours and spent five mins in the room it stinks and is not what I paid for. So they gave me a disabled veteran a one bed with a loft bed (how the hell could I have used this loft ladder) well first night I am lying in bed when I noticed a person on the porch watching me through the missing blinds so I go to put the outside light on and they ran off. Was I their to be burgled ? Next day I speak to front desk lady, not allowed despite asking 3 times to speak to a manager. Despite him being within earshot. My second home had some issues including things not working and missing wardrobe doors and of course nobody ever gives you a straight answer. The outside wooden furniture was rotten and dirty as was the single white chairs. These cottages are used as temporary location for people seeking housing of less than 30days, this is mentioned as its not just a tourist resort. When I complained about never being offered the cottage I paid for simply take it up with Orbitz and Ashley then get round to it, they were less than helpful. In my opinion of coming to Orlando since 98 three times a year, take your money, stay safe in another resort that gives you what you paid for!

Everyone was so nice and helpful. It was exactly what we were hoping for, close to our events with the added bonus of Old Town with in walking distance.

It's a beautiful place, so clean, calm, is a very nice place!!!!! My family was so happy to be there. Thanks

We stayed in a cabin. First cabin was dirty. Dust and dirt everywhere. We moved to a different one but during our stay we had visitors at night. The first cuccaracha I killed and convinced my wife to stay. The second d one I killed we were out of there and left early. No refund from management. Be wary.

Cute place but shower did not drain well. Water stained rusted lamp shade. Over whelming smell of air freshener. Stained carpets and floor boards. Would be great for families and kids. You would not have to worry about making a mess

We loved staying here! We planned this trip last minute, so was looking for a place with a good price, off the Disney grounds and came upon Tropical Palms. We were placed right next to the pool, which our son loved. 1 Bedroom Cottage was cute! There are two pools which were kept clean at all times. In the pool area, there is also a playground, a cafe where drinks can be purchased, as well as typical pool side fare. The bathrooms were also very clean in the pool area. And there is also a laundromat which is open 24/7 right in that area as well, which we took advantage of. There are golf carts for rent, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, a mini golf course and a pond on the back end of the resort. The front office is filled with friendly and helpful staff. They have park and attraction tickets for sale in the front office. You can also buy from their little convenience store as well. They have an array of activities to choose from, such as "Dive In" movies on the weekends, S'mores for purchase, Meet a Gator, etc. You are also within walking distance to Old Town, which is a cute boardwalk type area, with a number of stores, bars and restaurants to peruse. Right next to Old Town is the Fun Spot, which is basically a permanent carnival, with the typical and not so typical carnival rides. One being the Vortex, a go-kart ride with a drop in the course that is completely unexpected, so beware! Back to Tropical Palms - best place off Disney to stay hands down!

It was beautiful, quiet, I just love it, planning to go back in August the cottage was very very nice and roomy I really enjoyed myself.

My family and I love Tropical Palms Resort. Have been going there for years and can't imagine staying anywhere else. Grandkids get excited when we tell them we are taking them to Tropical Palms Resort.

One of the best stay we have experienced in Kissimmee.

Great place. Clean and professional. Close to disney.

I enjoyed the cottage quiet wasn,t there to much as we watched alot of softball, alot of traffic in the town , haven,t got anything bad to say about the place would go there again

As always, I love my stay here...I love that I have my own fully equipped kitchen, the staff is out of this world! The one complaint that I have is the mattresses are not comfortable. Everything else is wonderful..my own private deck, everything is very clean.
