A family holiday staying in a 4 bed townhouse in the Fountains at Champions Gate. Check in was short and sweet and a little short on customer care skills from the guy that dealt with us at the Tuscana resort next door and another encounter with a lady on reception was poor as i was greeted with not a hello as you would expect but card, she wanted my credit card as she thought i had come to check in when infact i had come to collect a parcel. Home was a spacious modern home with all the amenities with nice out look onto lake but on closer inspection once we had spent a number of days in the house we noticed it had some issues. Sliding patio door did not lock, blind to same door jammed and slat broken, furniture tops marked from wear, walls and paint work in need of repair. For a property that is not that old, it was showing its age in places. Did report issues at reception but blind and door still needed fixing when we left. On a more positive note, pools both at the Fountains and Tuscana are lovely with towels available free at poolside. Grounds are well kept and nice setting. Close to I4 and decent choice of fast food, restaurants and food stores etc just at the end of the road. In summary, nice place but i found myself a little disappointed, was expecting quality of home and attitude of reception staff to be better as i have stayed in Tuscana before and had better experience s.
We stayed here in April 2017 and I forgot to write a review. We had a 3 bedroom villa and it was lovely. Great amenities at the clubhouse, gym and pool. Staff were friendly and the location was perfect for getting to parks. There was shops and restaurants nearby for takeaway and eating out. The bedrooms in the villa were spacious and kept well and the villa had all the mod cons needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again should we visit the area. Recommend going into Celebration and doing the bike ride if you want a break from Mickey!
Have just left The Fountains after a great week! The villas are superb, very clean and extremely spacious. Beds were very comfy, couldn't fault the location. Close to some good eating places and supermarket. Pool area was clean and well kept with a good supply of clean towels which is always a bonus. Had a problem with key card one day which was swiftly sorted out by a friendly guy. Would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend it.
We have just returned from a 10 night stay at The fountains, we loved it. We stayed in a 3 bed town house which looked quite small on the outside, however we were pleasantly surprised when we entered. It's large and spacious with modern decor. The kitchen and bathrooms were all sparkling clean although the beige carpet on the upper floor and large rug in the living area really needed a carpet shampoo. The ground floor is all tiled and also could have been cleaner, this aside it really is a lovely place to stay. The bedrooms are all really large and comfortable, and it's a very quiet peaceful area. The local pub/ restaurant Millers is only 5 mins walk away and was the best food we had overall and was very reasonable. Publix is a 10 min walk and also a chemist, fish and chip shop, subway, dunkin donuts. This is a gated community so feels very safe, however the rear of the properties are not enclosed so not suitable for small children, and a couple of lakes with signs saying beware of alligators!! We didn't see any but I did have an encounter with a raccoon at the waste bin! Overall this is a nice place to stay and I would definitely stay again next time we visit Orlando.
Me and my boyfriend's family stayed in a townhouse (3 bedroom) at Fountains from August 27th - 10th September 2017. The resort is gated, which makes you feel very secure. All the rooms were immaculate and modern. There was 6 adults sharing one of these townhouses, and we didn't feel like we were all on top of each other at all as the house and rooms are spacious. Netflix is on the TV in the lounge which was good for of a night. The pool (both smaller and the main) were lovely and modern, lots of sun loungers and only a small walk from the townhouse. We were caught up in Hurricane Irma, and although we were lucky to avoid any damage or real issues, we were stuck as we were due to depart the day the hurricane hit Florida. Fountain's allowed us to stay on an extra 2 nights without any hassle at all. While we were in the pool the day before, a lovely gentleman came and reassured us about the hurricane and gave us a print out with some tips and guidance which was very appreciated with us never experiencing anything like it before. During the hurricane our alarms tripped and an engineer was with us within minutes to fix them at 2am. The location was ideal, 10 minutes to Disney and only about 20 to Universal. 2 minute walk away from 7/11 garage, Millers, Chillies, Publix and Dunkin Doughnuts as well as many other shops. Would definitely go back, lovely accommodation in a lovely area. Staff were brilliant.
We booked this place as a getaway though timeshare. The pictures were beautiful! However, this is not what I was expecting. This is NOT a resort. The units are off a parking lot so don't expect a whole lot of landscaping or shade. These townhouses are for sale. They are most likely being rented out through a company till they sell the units. So a unit you rent will most likely have a for sale sign out front and/or one in the window. That's not a big deal. What is a big deal is the lack of care these units get. The kitchen faucet was broken. I could literally pull the whole faucet off the counter top. The water still ran so I just sucked it up and and decided to just make do. The back patio is open. No screen, no grill, no table, no chairs, only one lounge chair. That's it. The carpet was dirty, they AC stopped working, the dryer didn't work (it took two cycles to dry a load of clothes), lack of kitchen utensils/pots/pans, chipped dishes, the television stations quality looked like it was from the 80's, dead bug juice on the walls......I mean the list could go on. You could tell all the furniture in the unit was rented and old. Just rubbing my legs on the legs of the kitchen chairs left brown stains on my skin. The beds were horrible and squeaky. Our week couldn't end fast enough. I won't be returning. Pros: * Parking was convenient * Pool area was clean Cons: Everything else.
I loved the interior design of this townhouse! It was nice, however, i did notice stains in the carpet, mostly going up the stairs, as well as, some stains in the carpet of upstairs and in each of the bedrooms. The bathrooms upstairs were clean, but I noticed crumbs or something on the floor of the half bath downstairs. The twin beds were really loud. Every time I shifted, the bed made noise. Not only that, but the headboard banged against the wall no matter what. Just sitting on it would cause the headboard to hit the wall. For the bed I slept in, I shoved a pillow between the wall and the headboard to keep it from banging against the wall. The other twin bed was used for my luggage, etc. and that bed was the same as the bed I slept in, loud. I couldn't imagine having someone sleep in the room with me and hearing their bed squeak and the headboard hit the wall every night just from turning over or getting up. Also, the railing going up the stairs was wobbly. I noticed it wasn't screwed in to the wall well. I also noticed the railing once you got upstairs was wobbly. I refrained from touching either for fear they would break. The living room area was very clean, the couches were comfortable and clean and the HD TV was amazing. The dishwasher wasn't draining the water inside so someone had to come fix it. Also, the alarm system kept chiming every so often. Couldn't be heard upstairs which was great. One morning, the kitchen lights and wifi went out unexpectedly and it wasn't until my father messed with the box in the garage that everything turned back on. I will say that there should be policies and consequences for guests and/or residents who are inconsiderate of others staying in this gated community. The first night here, a huge transit bus was stopped just in front of the driveway of the townhouse my family was staying in. My father had to ask the driver to move up. Mind you, every single night and morning, this bus pulled up in front of the driveway, blocking our vehicle in. If we wanted to go anywhere around 10am, too bad because that bus was always boarding people right there and stayed for at least 30 minutes if not longer. Every night, I had trouble getting any sleep because the bus would drop off all of these people and they would run around like chickens with their heads cut off laughing and playing in the street at 12AM-3 AM! Running back and forth down the street and into the townhouse next door and townhouses down the street and across the street. I mean there were multiple buses passing the bus in front of our townhouse, letting off dozens of people. Absolutely no consideration for others. Doors were slamming, people were screaming. It was like this EVERY night. My dad had to go make a complaint and they said security would take care of it and that other people complained about the same thing!! Out of all of those nights, i witnessed a security guy stop by the townhouse next door with teenagers out front speaking to them. I believe he was telling them to be quiet. Hell, he could've been conversing because once he left, they were back at it. Another note: these buses weren't even supposed to be coming through the gate and that's coming from front desk. One night I looked outside, and I saw a group of these people standing in our driveway behind our vehicle doing god knows what, laughing and talking and such. The day we left, my father was loading our things and he noticed someone had used their finger to write on the back of the truck. Funny thing, the day we left was the day they looked like they were leaving. They ruined the experience of this place. Not sure if i'll stay here again.
The people who manage the Fountains and Tuscana are rude and inconsiderate. The person taking our order at the pool side restaurant was rude and disrespectful. She treated us as if we were trash. When I told the manager of her lack of customer service, she wrote something on a piece of paper, but I'm sure it ended up in the trash. This is not a good place to bring your family. Don't let the pictures fool you. They do not look that good. The pictures are deceiving. The customer service is worse.
My family and I decided to stay at the Fountains, we stayed at the homes in Cahmpion Gates and they were beautiful. So figured the townhomes would be just as nice. The check in was ok and we did not get to enjoy the pool due to weather and time there. But the townhouse floors carpets were dirty, I was afraid to not wear shoes on the floor, the walls were dirty. Could use a little love in townhome #8177. Asked the receptionist at the front for their best home, she stated it was their best. Would hate to see the second best. Not sure if we will use the Fountains again as a vacation choice. Love Champions Gate!
