Don't get me wrong, there's some really good points to this hotel, but also really bad ones. We arrived at our hotel and it's literally in the middle of 2 work sites, we panicked all the way into the building, but was surprised, its really modern and clean, there's a great little cafe and a shop too, the staff at the desk while friendly were often chatting away on the phone/walkie talkie, even while they were seeing to us. We finally get to our room after being awake nearly 24 hours and settle in only to hear our bathroom lamp shade fill up with water and the ceiling above the bath leak, we were seen to fairly quickly and were moved, but nothing was said, no apologies, no compensation and it seemed like a problem they were familiar with as he knew exactly what to do. The rooms are spacious, the bed was perfect for me and there's a mini fridge which came in really handy, but watch the bed corners!!!! They hurt! Be aware there's nowhere to hang your wet clothes, especially on the bottom floor and also people shove pizza leaflets through your door, putting the fear of God in you because it sounds like they're trying to break in! Every day they drop one round. We were also unaware of safe charges at $3 a day which over 2 weeks is quite a bit, especially since we didn't even know. It just came up on our bank statement. Our room key stopped working 4 times and no it wasn't near our phones and finally the shuttle buses to various parks, great add on but terrible times, especially disney, it leaves too late and picks up too early and universal leaves so early that part of the parks aren't even open yet and the driver left without a lot of us one morning despite being there on time. But they're free so can't really complain! The building site was only an issue if you slept in past 9am, Over all, the hotel was nice, pool area clean, all the staff were friendly, rooms were clean, the iTrolley is a few minutes walk away which came in handy, you are quite far out from a lot of places, the hotel would be good for a few days stay, not for 2 weeks
The room was very spacious having 2 queen size beds (just for me). The décor was fresh and the facilities in the room and bathroom were first class. The pool was adequate and kept clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful on all aspects of questions about the hotel and the surrounding area. I would recommend this hotel for all customers from single travellers to family groups. I know there were road works outside but this happens anywhere in the world and is a necessity. However this required road works were never noisy in the evening hours and caused no problems to me. If I return to this part of the USA this is where I will stay. Thank you for a great time.
My son and i stayed here for 4 days while visiting Universal. The hotel was very clean, end employees were very friendly. The hotel is walking distance to Universal (just follow the sidewalk down Major St and will take you right to valet/guest drop-off) which there is no wait to go in. Upon our return from Universal we were too tired to walk and called Uber ($6.00). Several restaurants within walking distance. This is ecactly what i was looking for, and exact what i got and paid for. Will definitely stay here again.
Hotel nice construction around not so much. Enjoyed the pool and a great time and the best location for parks and safe and secure for the kids will be back and thanks for the incredible service awesome
All I can say is that this place is 'Okay ' rooms cleaned daily at different times .sometimes you get all bedding sometimes you don't Have had to stand outside the room one afternoon after a long day out whilst the maid cleaned the room !!! We were so tired the wait was agonising .Had to ring down to reception to advise them that my husband had taken ill and we required a Dr. I was asked' you want a Dr to come to your room ' ?? really abruptly . It appeared I was an inconvenience to them . Was then called later by reception who said 'I hope the sick person gets well '????!! Very unprofessional . They left me feeling very much alone and unsupported.
I recently stayed at the clarion inn at universal for 14 nights. The hotel is newly renovated, the pool facilities were excellent and the lobby was always beautifully clean. Location is perfect for visitors wanting to visit city walk and universal theme parks, as this was a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel or a cheap taxi ride away. The hotel also offers complimentary shuttle service to the main theme parks which is also of a great help and helps keep costs down! The hotel is also situated right by the i-ride trolley which can take you to international drive for $2 ! Rooms were of a decent size and with clean but basic facilities. The cafe within the hotel is also decent, the staff are very friendly and we ate breakfast here regularly! I can also recommend the restaurant next door to the hotel 'la tabla' which serves excellent indian cuisine with fantastic service. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel is located in a quiet area. Even though there was roadworks at the time of our stay we couldn't hear any noise from our room. Rooms clean and tidy, staff very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Easy access to international drive via the I trolley. The only thing needed would be a few more sun loungers around the lovely pool.
The Clarion Inn & Suites is a hotel previously known as "Days Inn". It has had a huge makeover, in fact the renovations are still in progress. It is very nice and like new, very comfortable, it has a bar in the very large new lobby. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Whilst it is a vast improvement to the old Days Inn it comes with a fairly hefty increase in room costs, which may deter a lot of families on a budget. It has a small shop/restaurant and a guest laundry. It is within one mile of several restaurants/bars and of course Universal Studies
Well after a really long flight and a three hour customs wait we arrived at this hotel this has just been revamped and it looks exactly like the brochure photos just beautiful from entering the door the staff can not help you enough we asked to be close to the pool which is also very nice has also a hot tub, we entered a room which was nice and cool and the room was very very nice. And very clean the rooms have a fridge with a small freezer and also a iron with iron board the safe is extra but is needed I will update what the food is like but this place is well worth a visit
Me and my boyfriend have just returned back to the UK after staying here for 11 nights, we both loved it and would absolutely stay here again if we ever get the chance to come back to Orlando! Positives: 1- Brilliant location, literally along the road from Universal. The hotel does offer a shuttle to Universal but you really don't need it, it took us around 10 minutes to walk there on a really well signposted walkway. Right outside is an I-Ride trolley stop (G4) which comes every 30 minutes which will take you up and down international drive until 10:30pm. If you want to eat elsewhere but the hotel there is plenty around, we loved Millers Ale house (5 minute walk) and IHop (10 minute). 2- Free Shuttles. The Transfer to Disney Epcot left each morning at 9:00pm and 11:20pm, and returned at 6:15pm and 10pm- the shuttle does only go to Epcot but dont worry about that because from Epcot you can get the free Disney transportation to any park/resort/disney springs. As I said above, we didn't use the Universal ones as it wasn't really necessary, but it is great for people who struggle with walking after a long day in the park. The shuttles save a fortune in parking or taxis! 3- Hotel Shops/Restaurants: We ate at Roast Cafe most mornings, the food was tasty and had a lot of choice at great prices. The lady serving was so lovely, its always nice to start the day with a friendly face! We never ate in Tabla, but it did smell lovely. There was a little shop next to reception where you could buy gifts, snacks and essentials which is a nice touch. 4- Pool Area We were so pleasantly surprised with the pool area, the pool is a lot bigger than it looks in photos and there is a nice late closing time of 11! There is also a hot tub which is a godsend after a long day of walking. The sun loungers are really comfy too. Rooms: Super spacious, two huge beds, the rooms can easily fit four people so it was extra roomy for the two of us. The decor is gorgeous and you can tell they have put a lot of work into renovations, it has really paid off. There is a fridge and a coffee machine, and a safe but that needs to be paid for. Negatives: 1- Tabla was a little pricey when travelling on a budget, discounts for people staying in the hotel would be great! 2- We never noticed the pool bar open. 3- We did try the gym once, it would be fine for someone just staying a night or two but dont expect much. More weights would be useful, when one person was on the machine there was nothing for the other to do but cardio. Thanks for a great stay!
