The hotel is all location situated in the city centre but no luxuary. The room was small and it was very HOT! We found a small noisy fan, without that we probably wouldn't been able to sleep at all. The breakfast was large and tasty and the staff at the front desk was friendly.

The hotel has a great location within walking distance from the main sites: The castle, the city park and Wadköping. You can find cheap parking on the streets around the hotel. The staff was great, both reception and breakfast. Very good breakfast with a great variety to choose from. I had single room which was on the small side, but ok. The room was clean.

Hotel near main center of city. City is very walk-able from the hotel and you can walk from train center. Bus stop around corner from hotel lobby can take you anywhere if you don't want to walk. Hotel will lend bicycles if you want to pedal. Rooms have adequate bathroom size, tiled bathroom floors and carpeted room floors. Coffee maker with cups, glasses, and assorted teas and coffees. Ironing board and iron are in hall on each floor for communal use. Depending on room grade you either have individual toiletries (bar soap, shampoo, lotion, conditioner, body cleanser) or limited wall mounted versions (liquid hand soap and combination shampoo/body wash only). No wash cloths but will supply extra hand towels and towels. Daily hard candy placed on bed. In room safe. Popular place for tour groups but other than crowding in lobby when arriving or departing there is never congestion. Lobby is also the bar and lunching station so front end staff do check in and food service. Plenty of helpful staff. Free Wifi, lobby newspaper, and bike use. Easier to walk to hotel than to drive. Daily parking rate for cars. Near parks, shopping, restaurants, and castle. Easy to buy transportation tickets as the Pressbyran (convenience store chain) if need more than a single ride. Breakfast is a large open buffet with traditional Swedish offerings as well as many North American dishes. Breakfast area is large with multiple areas and types of seating and daily TV and newspapers. Large window with a transom you can open. Daylight privacy and night time full coverings. Overhead and work lighting. No extra magnifying mirror in bathroom. Have to use hairdryer in room not in bathroom. Bathroom doesn't really accommodate two people at once. Room has desk, office chair, luggage rack, and bedside outlets. At night need all lights on in room to see. As with other hotels beds are made with bottom sheet, comforter, and duvet.

This Best Western is of a reasonable standard with very friendly, helpful staff on the front desk and in the restaurant. The room was basic but clean and the upper floors offer a bit of a view. The immediate area doesn't offer anything scenic so you wouldn't want to stay here without a car at your disposal. The only minor issue we had was when we tried to get supper on the Saturday evening and the small restaurant area was packed - we had to wait nearly an hour for a seat. This was obviously a management issue as there was only one chef on duty and one waitress, who, it must be said did an absolutely amazing job in getting the orders out at a very high standard. When finally seated we thought the food was fantastic - the staff deserve medals for maintaining grace under pressure and working like mad to keep their customers fed and happy. The chef in particular was amazing to watch, as he worked non-stop for hours, and at great speed to produce superb food - the man was a true professional and deserves a raise.

Best Western City Hotel in Orebro provides a reasonable accommodation in the city center of Orebro. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but they do have a collaboration with three restaurants in the immediate vicinity where members can use their vouchers. The service is good and friendly and the breakfast is fine. My room was old fashioned and lacked sufficient power outlets. The bathroom has overhead lighting only.

The location is the best thing about the hotel, other than that it is an okay hotel good relative to the standards of the city but on the international field it is less than average. The hotel room was clean and the staff were friendly. There is a nice outdoor bar on the outside.

Good service in reception, but easily understaffed with only one on duty. Rooms were clean but bare minimum. Beds were nice and comfortable. Very noisy outside in the backyard, appeared like a place to smoke outside for drunk partying people after midnight. Breakfast was very good. One elevator out of service and the one working very occupied by hotel staff. All in all cheap hotel and you get what you pay for.

No AC in the room. This combined with a room facing the very busy road outside made it difficult to get a good night sleep. Good location, just a short walk to the center of the city. Nice staff, and a small vinebar in the reception area.

PROS - Second stay here. Previously stayed in a ‘family room’ which was good but booked their second smallest room this time, the ’compact room.’ Requested “a new or newly renovated room” and received a whole other room (seemingly called the ‘business’ room according to the management photos on TripAdvisor) which was newly renovated with stylish interior, neat, and cozy - really nice overall. Room size was perfect for two people. The room had most of the useful necessities such as a mini fridge, safety box, suitcase stand, kettle, and a fan - If you arrive with the train at Örebro Södra you basically just walk straight down a street until you reach the hotel, a 5+ minute walk - Great location with shopping, restaurants, a bus stop, and ICA supermarket just outside the hotel - Comfy queen-sized bed with two duvets - Had prepaid the room so check-in and check-out was less than 5 minutes each - Fresh and clean breakfast with a nice and calm atmosphere. Coffee and tea is available all day in the breakfast room where you’re also free to lounge CONS - Room was not soundproof, we could hear people talking in the room next door as well as anything going on out in the hallway. Woke up at 7 AM one morning due to lots of talking and opening/closing of room doors which was really loud - Curtains were not blackout - The toilet in the room was not clean upon our check-in - We’d requested a late check-out already the day before and the reception employee assured us she’d note it to our room. However, housekeeping was still trying to access our room with a key card at the regular check-out time the next day, despite our ‘do not disturb’ sign OTHER - Would've rated the hotel lower this time around if not for the nicely renovated room we received upon request

Hotel is good... Rooms are well equipped and breakfast is also very tasty. Staff is friendly and i had a great time. Only issue is the missing of a proper room service. If u need a bottle of water u have to go down, exit from hotel and go to the store in the corner of the road...its a little uncomfortable especially in a cold evening
