Room needs update. But was a good location. We should not pay for parking.

It's in need of some updates, but you're probably not going to spend much time there — most people use this hotel for Disneyland because of its proximity — it's a nice 7-min walk to the gate! The swimming pool was great — used it and the hot tub almost every night. (We wished they'd kept the towels stocked better though.)

We chose this hotel for its closeness (5-7 min walk) to DisneyLand and the reasonable price. The staff was friendly at check in. We found our double queen room to be comfortable and clean but small. Since we were only sleeping there it suited us just fine. The kids loved the pool and the grown ups loved the big hot tub. It was handy to have a microwave and fridge in the room to store food. The little market and coffee stand (portlands own Stumptown roasters yum!) were perfect for picking up breakfast foods. Although a little over priced. All in all we had a great stay and would recommend the Tropicana!

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was simple but pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is right across the street from Disneyland and there are decent places to eat nearby. The hot tub felt great at the end of the day.

Extremely close to Disneyland which makes it very convenient especially at the end of a long day.

We line in Northern California, are retired, and have annual passes along with our adult kids. We used to stay at the Hilton/Hyatt, etc., but our daughter suggested Tropicana for the price and convenience. We have now stayed there 4-5 times. So great to walk to Disneyland and come back in the afternoon for a break. We feel safe at the Tropicana and love the gift shop and nearby Pizza Press--great place to relax outside in the evening. We wanted to stay at Tropicana next month but it was booked full. Thanks for the great service!! See you in a few months.

Picked the Tropicana based on its' proximity to Disneyland. Arrived early in the morning - well before my check-in was available. The Valet and front desk staff were wonderfully accommodating - and took care of my car without blinking. The front desk offered to text me when my room was available later that day. My room fronted Harbor blvd, but was neat and very quiet. I stayed for one night, and the stay was perfectly nice.

We used to stay next door at Carousel until it closed. Our stay here had us questioning why we never chose this hotel. Staff was way more friendly and attentive. Rooms were a little dated but much cleaner. It was a short walk into the Happiest Place on Earth. My only compaint would be parking is a it tight but we found a spot after a few circles around the lot. Will definitely be back when we come for our next Disney trip!

Staff was super friendly and our room was clean, we were in it less than 7 hours, great for a place to sleep to go to the parks. love that we could leave out car there for a small fee to go to the parks after check out, super helpful! I would stay here again!

The Room was small for 3 kids and 2 adults to stay in. Hardly any room to get around in. But we managed! We weren't in room very often so it wasn't a huge deal. It was clean and staff was nice.

Decent , no breakfast , but clean. Friendly staff. Room not spacious. Very little to no parking.

We like to stay at the disney resorts, but we went for our 3rd time this summer and decided to stay off property. Our family has stayed at just about all the walking distance properties, and Tropicana can't be beat. Walking distance to the park, nice pool, and clean rooms.

This hotel is so convenient, right across from Disneyland. The hotel is older but kept up and the beds were very comfortable.

Great location close to Disneyland. Rooms were very clean and staff was very nice! Good outdoor pool that was well maintained.

Staff was suppossed to text me when room was ready, well they never did

The hotel is right across the street from Disneyland. We can see the fireworks from our room.

Okay for price, very close to main gate of Disneyland

Had to pay for parking, was told to take any open space which I did. Then when I get up in the morning there was a nasty note that I parked in valet parking

First off the "queen beds" are full size which makes a difference when you have your children sleeping with you. Secondly, there are only elevators on one side of the hotel. I don't mind walking up stairs at all however when we were bringing our luggage up in the luggage carrier we walked around the whole hotel trying to find an elevator and then had to walk all the way back to the other side where our room was. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time. The rooms are a little old and need some updating and they are not very big either. It's not the worst place to stay but of all the hotels we have stayed at in this area it's definitely not my favorite.

I stayed at Tropicana for 4 nights with my 7 year old this week. It was an excellent hotel and I'll definitely book a room here again next time we come to Disney. The location is amazing and extremely close to Disney, which was my main criteria when booking a hotel. It was a CLOSE walking distance to the main entrance of the park (6 minute walk from the turnstiles to our room) which made the trip so much easier and more enjoyable. We walked over to Disney early morning, stayed for about 5 hours, went back to our hotel for a few hours for a break/nap during the hottest & most crowed part of the day, and then walked back over in the evening in time for the parades and fireworks. It was nice to not have to worry about driving back or waiting for a shuttle bus when we were already exhausted. Tropicana has a McDonald's, Denny's, Panera Bread, and IHOP close by, as well as a small store on property. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room was clean. The office staff was very friendly. Housekeeping staff were friendly and did an amazing job- it was nice coming back to our room mid-day to find a clean room and a freshly made bed to rest on. I can't recommend this place enough!
