Nice hotel for the money. Close to shopping and freeways. The great park is nearby. Knowlwood rest. across from the hotel. Simple food but good. Rooms have refrigerator, micro and coffeemaker. A breakfast is served in the morning which is decent. The older part (historic)of the hotel has better pillows and mattresses compared with the newer. The hotel has a fitness center, small, but ok.

My husband was having cataract surgery with Dr. Tran and we found it very helpful to stay at La Quinta for our surgery and follow up appointment the next day.

The trains shake the building when It goes by and they sound there horns all night.

It was close to the Surgical Center for us. We are living in San Diego and it was really convenient to say during cataract surgery nearby.

This was a great little room. I love the old renovated Grain/Barley mill. My room was very trendy and comfortable for it's size. The linens were clean and fresh feeling. I felt extremely comfortable staying in the hotel alone. The only thing that would've been nice to know in advance was that that hotel was right by the train tracks. The staff made it very clear my room was by the tracks. The train runs every 15 minutes during the day and then about every hour at night. Surprisingly, to me, it wasn't very loud or disturbing. I personally didn't mind it, but think others may take issue.

This hotel is a re-purposed lima bean silo directly next to a train track. No mention of the train at all until check in. I had to ask what exactly a "train room" was. They moved my room to the one next to the smoking area and vending machines so my room reeked of smoke and all night between the train and coughing smoking, ice machine and vending machine I slept zero on the old busted mattress. I am not from a great part of town growing up so I am not someone who needs a 5 star room but I was afraid to take my shoes off in the room. I flew in for my work conference a night early to be fresh when it started and ended up being a bad idea as i was so tired and sore when I got there from the awful night at this place.

I choose a room from photo but I stayed totally different room. It was like storage.

I have stayed at La Quinta many times. I always reserve a room in the old part of the hotel. My resent stay was in the newer part of the building. Will not do that again. Big difference in comfort of bed and pillows which are so much better in the older part. Nice feature with a simple breakfast. Also, Knowlwood restaurant is across from the hotel, good value there. Close to Spectrum and Trader Joe's and the freeways.

my room was like a jail sail the walls was concrete .. literary grey concrete .. the amtrac runns beside the room window every 10 to 15 min all day long... do not stay here unless you just want to get a room for sex..

Comfortable bed and pillows, decent breakfast. You can get a shuttle to airport and train station.

Breakfast need improvement. Love the rooms at the old converted sillo.

First time stay at this La Quinta hotel, very disappointed. I will think ten times before I make another booking at this chain.

The hotel staff was very informative and knowledgeable about the history of the building.

Nice clean room and friendly staff. Very comfy beds.

The breakfast was great and also the lady that organized it!!! Other than that - I will not go back there - Everything is very old The carpet need replacement Not so clean, the bathroom floor was a bit oily.

We were very upset there was mold and the room smelled. Breakfast was ok.

Near UCI and near highway to get around.... Breakfast buffet was decent and pool was a great place to relax....

I was looking for a budget friendly hotel in a reasonable location and that's what we found. It isn't packed full of amenities but for a 2 day trip when you are out all day it was perfect for our budget.

It was alright. The train tracks are very close to this hotel but didn't bother me much. Train does pass by. Nothing spectacular but not the worst hotel I've stayed at. There's a Denny's and another restaraunt across the parking lot. Gas station and jack in the box across the street as well which is also convenient. The interstate 5 freeway is very close. One thing I did like is that there is a whole lot of Irvine police that go eat at knowlwood (I think that's how you spell it) the other resteraunt next to Denny's. So I felt a little more secure having my car in the parking lot (I parked by the reataraunt parking lot as my hotel room was facing that way.)

The staff was really friendly and the rooms were extremely cozy!!!

Dear Guest, I am sorry you did not like our rooms. Part of our hotel is an 100 year old converted grain silo that is a historical land mark. In the historical rooms the walls are natural Concrete. We are sorry you did not like them. Thank you for your time. La Quinta Irvine
