Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground

The hotel is close to Disneyland, but I wouldn't want to walk back-and-forth multiple times during the day. The bathroom needed a little tile repair. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning was good. The staff was helpful and friendly. We didn't use the pool or waterpark, but our friends did in their kids loved it

The staff was a great help for every question we had. The room was clean. The pool and splash area was great for the kids. Only problem was the wifi. You can connect and get a great signal but it won't let you do anything surf the net. No games would play and nothing would update. But it is the only thing I could knock on the this hotel.

I honestly loved my stay here, the only thing i have to say is I wish I could've stayed longer! It's honestly not true about not being able to check in early, my check in time was at 4 pm but I was able to check in at 1. As long as the room is available your good & we checked out later w/ no extra fees. The pool/slides were great! I will definitely be coming back.

Nice place close to Disney. Definitely not a luxury hotel but very spacious and clean rooms walking distance to Disney. I would stay here again! Nice and quiet at night. My son loved the little water park.

The room is pretty basic, and the pool is incredibly crowded. However, for the proximity to the parks, the price is great and fits the need of a place to sleep in between touring the parks.

We booked and paid for 4 nights but only stayed 2 because it was so loud..we thought the family above us was going to come through the ceiling

Easy check in. very large room, and very quiet inside. Not too far from the convention center, so an easy walk in the morning,

The hotel was nice, it was within walking distance of the park. Two-room suite, one w/ King bed, the other with a bunk bed and pull-out couch, each with its own bathroom. Staff was friendly. However, discovered that 2nd car requires $20/night (plus taxes) parking fee, and that the free parking only lasts until 3pm. Thus, we had to pay for parking for the 2nd day we were there as well as we weren't leaving the park until that evening. So we ended up paying over $60 in parking for a one-night stay (2 cars, $40 for one, $20 for the other, plus taxes). And, they wouldn't let us keep our cars because next night was booked, so actually had to move cars to hotel next door and paid the 2nd night's parking there. Didn't tell us that in the morning so when we called to extend the parking, we had to go back to the hotel to move the cars.

This is the second time we have stayed here, the hotel is great and it is right next to Mimi's restaurant which has incredible family food at great prices! We rexommend this hotel to anyone we know that mentions they are going to Disneyland

We stayed two nights during our trip to Disney, and all the kids talked about was going back to the hotel- even while at Disney! They loved the pirate themed water play area. It was perfect for them (ages 3.5 and 5).

Stayed for 3 Nights and took our kids to Disneyland. Mainly ended up sleeping there or taking mid day disney break in the pool/water park before hitting the park back up. What a great location call it 5 minute walk to Main Entrance. It was great to hit the park early (30 min before opening) and come back to enjoy pool/rest 1-3ish then back for evening events. The proximity to the park made this very easy. Von's grocery was 5 min drive to get groceries and keep in small fridge. Even pass a Panera, McDonalds, on the way their if you need breakfast. Then on the way back, there is PizzaPress a great pizza place to grab $10-$12 gourmet pizzas for dinner. Rooms are average, water park is smaller then you think, but sufficient for my kids under 10, great kiddy pool for toddlers. Bonus is the hot tub is in waterpark, so assuming your kid is old enough to survive in 1ft deep water you can sit in the hot tub and watch them play.

Our room was pretty small for the price (we had the room with the bunk bed). We were right by the elevator & our room faced the freeway. The hotel is located right next to the freeway. It is sound proof but the pollution from the freeway plus signs posted about carcinogenic chemicals in the area doesn't make me feel like I made a good choice for my kids. The gift shop is WAY overpriced so bring your own booze & snacks. Panera is close by, which is good. The main redeeming factor with kids= the water park.

Staff were very helpful in every way they were very knowledgeable and helpful in organizing tours taxis and buses, their knowledge of the area was great room service and house keeping was great.

room was very clean but the bed was rock hard and the bathroom had small black insects on the floor. but was a very short walk to the disneyland resort, we did not get a chance to visit the pool area but it was closed for decontamination the 1st 2 days we arrived.

We stayed at the Howard Johnson and my kids had a lot fun specially in the water park. Will definitely stay again.

Clean and comfortable. 15 minute walk to Disneyland. Pirate Cove swimming area lots of fun. 2nd pool is a little small for the amount of people. Pretty crowded.

Very nice hotel, the room was a little bit dated, but not bad. Very close to Disneyland which is why we stayed there. We were able to walk to Disneyland in the morning, walk back in the afternoon to rest a while and walk back to the parks for the evening. Perfectly fit our needs. Edwin at the front desk was very helpful and gave us all the information we needed for a great stay.

Walking distance to Disneyland and also the hotel have a nice water park for the kids that my son enjoyed a lot.

Excellent hotel had mini water park for kids has a store and game room

The hotel staff was very polite and accommodating. Great service & very helpful!
