Fairfield Inns are usually businesspeople friendly but I would not put this hotel in that category. It's clean but the number of outlets is very limited for those of us who travel with lots of electronic devices. Plus the lobby coffee was only lukewarm, not a good way to start the day.
They are accusing me of smoking in my room and I never smoked on property my entire stay. Called corporate and hoping they can sort out this mess. They are charging me a $250 smoking fee. The Housekeeping Manager was very rude to me on the phone contacting me about this matter. She can't provide any evidence of smoking in the from either. She lied and said there was another witness even though she was the only person at the door. Also, if I would have been smoking in the room housekeeping would have noticed. They are saying I basically saying I decided to smoke in the room the last 10 minutes before checkout after all of those days.
We weren't lucky enough to get a suite when we booked for the week, but we made our little 2Q room work. This hotel could be a 5/5 if they do the following: 1. Update the pool area. The hot tub has major paint issues below the water, big chunks peeling off. Paint everywhere else is faded and blah. Towels were never stocked in the pool area rack when we went this week. 2. KEEP the breakfast lady!! I've read about her in past TA reviews dating back to January '17 and she's by far the best attendant we've had in a dozen hotels the past three weeks. She's happy, helpful, kind, and attentive. And it's a wonderful idea that she helps the waffle area run more smoothly by making them herself and announcing "fresh waffles!" 3. KEEP the housekeeping staff! We stayed here a week for a conference and some days we weren't gone long, but asked for housekeeping if possible, and the response was always the same- "we'd be happy to do that." Followed by an immediate call to housekeeping before we left the lobby. The staff was so great here. 4. I don't know if anything can be done about these items, but the back of building especially near pool area needs more lighting; the shelves under the vanity didn't quite go back far enough so all our vanity bags were sticking out; more hooks are needed in the bathroom; more outlets are needed in a room, especially when 4-5 people are sharing it. We had 3 iPhones, 2 CPAPS, and 2 apple watches. Had to use the desk lamp and vanity outlets each night. We would have liked more parking up front too since we got back late most nights with kids and had to walk in the back dark lot. Positives: Great water pressure and temp in shower, comfortable room, comfy sheets and plenty of pillows, Paul Mitchell samples in bathroom, great AC (unless you prefer silence, we need white noise to sleep and it was perfect), close to both Target and Walmart, we also found a nearby coin laundry and car wash we needed; lots of parking around the building, 2 side by side elevators, breakfast changed a little each day which was nice. We liked the seating areas too for breakfast and only needed to use the overflow room on Saturday. They also had two hot drink areas along with lots of fresh infused ice water day and night, which we used everyday. The price was also great for our budget this week as we've been traveling the past 17 days and have another week ahead of us. We did ask once about upgrading to a suite but didn't hear of any becoming available. Pretty good stay overall, thanks FFI&S!
We stayed here for 9 nights and it was a great stay and the staff was really friendly and probably he hardest worker there was the lady who prepared the breakfast Monday to Friday she's always her feet working hard and appeasing the guests. Brandon was a big help and so were Krystal,Maria,Stephanie, and Sean we enjoyed the stay and hopefully if we return to the LA we'd be able to stay here again. It was a very convenient since there was a gas station close, a church, a bunch of restaurants and close to Huntington Beach as well as Newport Beach. Hope to retune back to So Cal soon but since we live in Florida definitely gonna have to wait but hopefully we'll be back even sooner.
This is a standard Fairfield Inn: Nothing spectacular, it is just consistently good. The breakfast is satisfying but nothing special. The bed is comfortable, and the room is clean. The staff are pleasant.
We chose this one because it was so close to Knott's Berry Farm. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. We did not try out the pool or the fitness center. There are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby.
We booked for its location to Knott's Berry Farm and other areas we were visiting, IE: LA, Irvine and Runyon Canyon. We had a 'suite' I guess you would call it, one room with two queens/bath and one room with king/bath. It worked out great for the 5 of us. This room was located right next to a very noisy ice maker which concerned me when entering our room but we never heard it once we were in our room. We had a fridge so we could keep water and snacks cold and a microwave to heat up leftovers. We found the room to be clean and well stocked. Desk staff was nice, I agree with another reviewer, it seemed they were speaking from a script but they were friendly, helpful with pool towels and dinner recommendations. A decent breakfast, the hot food was hot and plentiful. The staff worked continuous and hard to provide a good meal and keeping everything stocked and tables clean. Believe it or not, one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. While I like that the vanity/sink area was separate from the shower/toilet, I agree with another reviewer, the vanity area is small, very, very small with little room to leave your bathroom bag but we managed and certainly not a deal breaker. We never had an issue with parking, we were lucky enough to park in the front part of the parking lot each evening even though we were there on a weekend. We would definitely stay here again, close to the highway, restaurants and many other amenities.
This Fairfield is pretty standard as Fairfields go. The hotel was well maintained and clean. The breakfast area was up and running on time each morning with an extra area opened if the main area filled up. The pool was average, if a bit small. The hot tub was hot and relaxing. The only issue that kept this location from a 5 rating was the parking. I counted 42 spots in the designated Fairfield parking area. I'm guessing the hotel had at least 200 rooms. That math doesn't work. On our third night in the area we had to park at the back of a neighboring hotel parking lot and walk (in the dark) to the hotel. Not a great situation.
The hotel is located in Buena Park, just off an expressway. It is well located, with lots of restaurants and other establishments around, including a grocery right beside and a church a few minutes away. The hotel has a spacious parking area in front, at the side and st the back. Reception gives you a parking firm that you dis p,ay on the dashboard inside your car. Check-in was quick and efficient. There are two elevators to the upper floors. The elevators though open to a rather narrow corridor leafing to the rooms. The rooms are spacious specially if a guest opts for a king-size bed; a bit cramped of a guest opts for two queen beds. There is a mini-refrigerator for cooling drinks and storing food bought from outside. I forget if there was a microwave in the room. Work desk us adequately sized and well lighted. It's nice that the lamps all have sockets for charging cellphones and laptops. Wi-fi is free and works well. Air-conditioning is great, a relief from the heat outside. I was just a little disappointed by the small bathroom . Fortunately, the wash basin is located outside the bathroom so one can brush one's teeth while another is taking the shower or using the toilet. Shampoo and soap are available as well as a hairdryer. No bathrobe or room slippers though. Breakfast is complimentary and is available from 6.30am to 10am. Breakfast area can be crowded from 8am onwards. It's good the hotel has another function room adjacent to the main breakfast area which serves buffet breakfast. The usual breakfast items - fruits, juices, coffee, wreaks, waffles, yoghurt, pastries, breads, oatmeal, boiled and fried eggs, two hot dishes are served daily. There is an ice machine on every floor. The hotel also has drinks and snacks available for sale by the reception. Helpful and courteous staff. All in the all, a wonderful stay at this hotel. Value for money. I will cone back.
My daughter and I stayed here for 5 days, June 2-June 7, for our LA vacation. Very nice staff, decent breakfast, free shuttle to Disneyland. Beds were pretty comfortable. Only complaint, is that the bathroom was extremely small. Showering was uncomfortable since there wasn't much "elbow" room.
