Buena Vista Inn

Disturbing, obnoxious characters on nearby streets, especially at night. The property itself is problem-free and an acceptable place to sleep. (No pool, though.)

The receptionist was very friendly, great hotel for a great price. Would definitely come again. Everyone was very helpful and the room was very spacious and clean.

A fairly basic room with everything you'd expect. But, oddly for this price category, no pool. Fine if you just want a place to sleep and shower.

The room was bigger than expected but still average looking room. Could be updated but we weren't really in the room so it was fine for us. The A/C in our room worked excellent! I had to go turn it down or take blankets! Thats a plus since its so hot right now

My friend and I had planned a trip to socal and we were on a budget. I had stayed previously at an America's best value inn a couple of years ago in the bay area and thought it was suitable for our needs. when we arrived at the hotel to check in. There was an older man in his pajamas that helped us. it was about 40 degrees that night and he had no sense of urgency whatsoever. so after about 10 minutes of standing in the freezing cold. we finally went up to our room only to find that there had been dead COCKROACHES lying on our beds. And there was some kind of substance leaking from the walls into the shower tub and there was no shower drain. We went down stairs straight away and demanded another room ( unfortunately, all the other hotels in the area were booked). It was definitely a sleep-less night. Not planning to stay here again.

The rooms are old and smelly. The toilet clogged. Not a safe place to stay with family. The internet connection was terrible.

Mattress was kinda too firm and couch was kind of "sinking", but it was okay.

The staff were professional; the rooms were excellent; the facilities and the environment were conducive to good health

Rooms need to be upgraded..nice area but the room was not what I expected

So my boyfriend and I just wanted a place to stay over night because we were spending the whole day at Disney land and didn't feel like driving back to the SF valley in LA. As soon as I got there I had to stand out side for 20 minutes waiting for the front desk clerk to WAKE UP then he walks out in PJs acting rude to me as if I had interrupted his sleep. Then as soon as I get in the room it is all just horrible. The sheets were dirty, there was graffiti all over the bathe mirror, something brown smeared all over the walls and door (so disgusting) and the bathroom was completely dirty and gross. I don't even think they have maids. When we went to tell the at the desk he was mad because we woke him and his wife up again we got are money back and just drove home because we were so mad and it was already midnight so all the other hotels were booked. If I could give this place a negative rating I would.

I felt like I got what I paid for, but I've always got more when I've stayed at americas best value inn. It is what it is????,,,!!!

The location is great, and is near restaurants. The sheets in the room were not well washed.

i stayed at the junior suite and it was nice for the price. some things were broken but not too much to complain. i would not recommend the enviorment for childen but this place is real close to knotts berry farm.

It was difficult to find, but for the price, it was O.K. hotel.

locations is great mins from knottsberry farm and the best rates I found on line very nice and clean

With a name like True Value hotel I thought it was part of the somewhat upscale hotel that was better than motel 6. Most of these types of hotels had some kind of continental breakfast. This did not have coffee or anything. Since we were charged extra for 2 beds, I thought there would be two bars of soap and two containers of shampoo. Wrong-only one, this is a very cheap place I will not stay here again, you can get something of better quality at the same price.

great value, nice staff, great location, very clean. extremely hard beds!

The location was good, very close to a lot of restaurants. But the thing is their pool is not heated.
