Best Western Harbour Inn & Suites

As a Sunset Beach resident for years, I was hoping that the Best Western would be a comfortable and friendly hotel for my out of state relatives. I was relying on the good reviews, but should have listened to my gut the second I walked in. Imagine arriving late, and forced to sit in the lobby while waiting for the front desk to even acknowledge us. Instead, Annie Goddard, the front desk manager sat there having a twenty minute conversation with a woman about sunglasses and watches. We kept asking for assistance and she rudely told us to wait. Finally, once the conversation ended, we were able to start to check-in. Because my son was almost 13, she advised us that we had to pay an additional charge per night. When I questioned this, she was extremely confrontational....almost like she was trying to start a fight. My children started getting upset because of how she was talking to myself and my wife. It was ridiculous. When she finally let us check-in, we went to our room and our key didn't work. Wow, I wish we never opened that door. The room was completely outdated and bizarre. The bathroom was tiny and the sink was in the bedroom. The "kitchen was a tiny microwave and small fridge. The place was clean, but that was about it. We were in a room right next to PCH and the noise was terrible. Couldn't sleep at all, not even with the a/c fan on. With that said, stay away. Sunset Beach is supposed to be a family-friendly place full of happy vibes. Not this place. Stay away.

Better than expected! The staff was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable. So lucky I came across this little gem. If you are looking for a better-than-average place to rest your head, look no further.

Reccomend hot tub room on harbor side. Close to beach.

Harbor view. The balcony was large and great for watching fireworks on 4th of july!

Enjoyed our stay. Beach is across the street so easy accrss to beautiful relaxing beach. Easy access to restaurants, shopping. PCH is main road so one can hop on to new adventures! Staff is friendly & helpful. only diwnside is because PCH is right outside our balcony room it is very noisy, couldnt enjoy the seabreeze or hear the ocean.

Enjoyed our stay at this quaint and comfortable spot, breakfast was delicious and nicely presented. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Like that the hotel is so close to the beach. Room was nice...

A little out of the way, but a great value for an Orange County beach hotel.

We were looking for affordable, easy access, close to beach, nearby food and clean. We got it all.

We stayed here prior to going on a cruise. It was perfect for what we were looking for. Right across the street from the beach, newly remodeled room, friendly staff, good price ($125/night). We loved it. It's kind of a retro layout with updated rooms. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This hotel offered all amenities -free parking, free breakfast and free wifi. The wifi was not strong enough to allow my husband to send out emails. Breakfast ok. Parking great. Location close to a couple of god restaurants. Staff was very helpful. This hotel must be given a bit of a break. Our room had been renovated, but most others were in the middle of it.

Just spent one night but it was quiet and clean. Only one issue the bathroom had a large step up into the room which was a bit different and took some getting use to.

This hotel is located in a great area with many restaurants within walking distance. Not to mention the beach is right there so you get the enjoyment of that too.

The room was very nice and the bed was liking sleeping at home. The hotel location was perfect for our trip.

Room clean and comfortable. Tha's about it. The staff were indifferent and there were garbage bags in the hall for several hours. The breakfast was a joke with nowhere to sit and kids running all over the place. Cold coffee. If all you need is a room, it's alright. I'd look further and Stay at a hotel in Seal Beach instead.
