Everything was dine
Convenient location, food nearby. Internet was terrible.
Hotel was located in a convenient location, staff was friendly but the room smelled as if it was a smoking room when it was supposed to be a non smoking room.
Although the hotel was obviously older, it had been adequately updated. However, the carpet felt "gummy" under bare feet, so I had to keep shoes and/or sox on all the time. Also, as I was packing up to leave after staying 3 nights, a COCKROACH crawled across the wall near where I had my suitcase! The breakfast left much to be desired. They had 1 waffle maker and ran out of danishes by 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning. We will not stay here again.
We were in El Reno coordinating a family member's wedding. We stayed for two nights at the Days Inn. The second night, after the wedding, we went back to the room. I took my shoes off by the bed. I didn't put them in a bag or anything. Then we went straight to bed. The next morning we packed up the car to head home. None of us ever put my shoes in the car. As soon as I got home and unpacked everything I realized I left my shoes there. As soon as I realized it I immediately called the motel. (This was the same day.. only a few hours after we'd checked out) The lady that answered said she would talk to the housecleaning staff and call right back. My mom was still in town so she said she would just head up there to get them. Thirty minutes later I hadn't heard anything so I called the motel back. She claimed they weren't in the room but she would give my mom the key when she got there. When my mom got there and went and looked in the room the manager yelled at her and accused us of having a party in the room and me being "so drunk that I probably didn't remember where I put my shoes" which was a lie. We were not drunk. We did not have a party in there. It was me, my sister, and her husband. We were the only ones in the room. And we went straight to bed when we got back. I have called back a couple more times and the housecleaning staff still claims they were never in the room. They clearly are lying since I took them off that night and never went anywhere else with them on or even moved them from that spot. And none of us packed them in the car. I realize I made a mistake by accidently leaving them there and that I should have gone back to the room to check again if we had left anything. But if they hadn't have been taken I would have had them back that day as soon as I called to get them. So if you stay here be aware that you could have things stolen and never get them back.
