We really enjoy staying there. Close to convention site so can walk, nice counter space and fridge to make our own lunch and extra coffee right down stairs...Jacquie always has a warm greeting and the staff reflect her energy. A/C is even quiet !!!

The hotel was very nice and clean. The restaurant attached to the hotel was only open for Breakfast and Lunch, we were not able to try it. A little loud on the lower floor where the pool was as people running back and forth and some noise from suites above us (running in the hallway) all and all a nice hotel. Watch out on the lower suites there is a step up to the bathroom which you don't see when not enough light coming into room.

After years of being a travel specialist and travel writer, I am happy to say that I have a good eye for best hotel values in all price ranges and in locations that do not normally cater to high end luxury travel. We were so excited to be attending the private pre opening events for Chef Victor Bongo's new culinary restaurants in the Naramata Heritage Inn called Ambrosia which formally opens June 1, 2017 and the launch of his new wine label in partnership with Serendipity Winery and winemakers Judy and Kate Kingston. Our problem was we were too late to score a room in the small inn. We knew we would be spending little time in the room and using the facilities, so we opted to stay in the very central location of the Coast Penticton. We did not care if we were on the water, we wanted a great room and easy access and the use of a pool if time and weather allowed. We chose the best rooms that had a jaccuzzi tub, fridge and a small balcony and we were very pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness and blown away by the bathroom setup which basically took up half of the large accommodation! It had a separate toilet room with a good fan, a large single sink area with amenities and then there was the shower/tub spa room! It was all glassed in and had a huge sun shower head with spa type seating and also a beautiful sparkling clean jaccuzzi tub with lots of care amenities. It clearly was a step up from any other hotel in this caliber and price that I had seen in my vast travel experience. The bedding and bed itself was also first class and very comfortable. Lots of pillows and soft bedding. We also had a small balcony, and while the outdoor pool had not yet opened, they also had an indoor pool and a bbq setup with tables and chairs in the back. Even though we did not have the most exciting view being on the road side, we were most impressed that it was totally quiet whether it was from the bachelorette party in the room next door or from the outside traffic. The fridge was ample sized for wine bottles and cheeses we purchased and there was a desk and more than enough cupboards and drawers and hanging space even for me with my luggage from being away for over 2 weeks of travel. The Penticton Convention Centre was a block away and there were tons of great restaurants of all flavours and tastes within easy walking distance. Our choice was the perennial favorite, Villa Rosa for great Italian Food. The staff were all friendly and helpful with all of our requests. The lakefront was an easy walk as well as many of the attractions and on Saturday morning we were a pleasant walk to the Food and Artisan Street Farmer Market on Main Street. Our big scores were at Walla Foods for their New York breads, and incredible Bourekas by their Israeli chef. My take home was the incredible Balsamic Bliss which is made from uber wonderful 18 year old fine balsamic vinegar from Modena and upgraded with two flavoring of Jalapeno and fine herbs which included Russian Garlic, oregano, basil and more. We even shared our find with Chef Bongo and friends to add something even more special to our brunch at the Naramata Heritage Inn. The Coast does have a food outlet attached for breakfast and lunch, at a charge. We did not eat there because of our schedule of activities. This brings me back to my header, which is, if I were driving by and looking for a place to stay, this might not have been a consideration, but since we spent zero time looking out the outside (and no reference to its condition, which was well maintained) but rather its curb appeal, without seeing the rooms we might have just driven by and missed a great experience. So much was within a half an hour drive including some of the best wineries, food purveyors, restaurants and activities in the area (we were told a casino had just opened too). They also participate in the coast and several airline reward programs. We would definitely come back and stay here again. It was terrific value for the money as well as meeting all of our needs and more.

Comfortable, clean, and excellent suite. Would definitely recommend to others. Quick and easy check-in and check-out. We enjoyed our stay at this establishment. We had a very nice breakfast at the restaurant before checking out. The meal was good and filling. We liked the location and it was easy to find. BYW, suite was big and spacious.

Room was clean and updated. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is quiet other than for individual room AS/C which is pretty noisy and makes working at the desk in the room uncomfortable. Balance of facility is not in good repair. Stay here only if there are no other options.

We arrived around 10 pm, exhausted from a day of driving! We just wanted a place to sleep and that's what we received. I told my hubby NOT to take his socks off; the sink wasn't draining properly; the tub area was not fully cleaned; the heat thermometer in the bathroom hadn't been dusted in forever. I checked out the bed and bedding and that was clean and as we were so exhausted we decided to sleep in the bed. Thank goodness one carries essentials; I did tell the front desk clerk I would be posting on Trip Advisor. The manager did contact me three separate times and refunded our stay. The manager stated that we, as customer's, must let management know so they can address the situation. The manager met with employee's and indicated all areas that need on going attention, etc. The manager hoped we would try them again

Stayed here the May long weekend and it was wonderful! The room was nice with a large space and large bathroom. Really enjoyed the rain shower and Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. It's about a 10 minute walk from the water and some popular dining spots. The front desk was very friendly, always welcoming us when we came back to the hotel. This hotel was wonderful and we will for sure be back! Oh and just a tip, if you want to eat anywhere in Penticton on a long weekend make sure you make reservations. We had a hard time getting into a few places because it was all booked up.

We stay at this location each year when we visit Penticton. We can rely on the rooms being clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location is conveniently located close to the highway so it is easy to head out to visit various locations in the area. It is only a short walk to the lake. The staff are very congenial and accommodating.

I have found Coast Hotels to be a consistent quality. This hotel is in an older building but the room was nicely renovated. The indoor pool and hot tub were clean and easily accessible. Walking distance to several restaurants, and the beach. The attached restaurant was good for breakfast. The Bed and Breakfast price just included the cost of the meal at the restaurant.

A perfect spot for a girlfriend's escape weekend or parent/child bonding trip. Conveniently located and well set up with a separate bedroom AND a queen size bed in the sitting area, the premium suite allows for privacy and quiet for guests wanting to share expenses but not sleep too close for comfort! Room was clean with modern fixtures. Closed-in balcony is a bit odd, but allows for a sitting area with fresh air if desired. On-site restaurant provides excellent breakfasts and lunches at a reasonable price, and an Italian restaurant two blocks away had delicious dinner options.
