Clean, great room, nice snowy beach view. Kids loved the pool and slide. Unfortunately, Team Canada is playing for Gold at the World Juniors and the TV in our room is terrible to watch it on. Foggy picture with lots of ghosting. Too bad!
This is our go to winter hideout. Great location to go out for dinner up town or to just stay in and chill. All you'll need is your swim trunks to hot tub and a good book to read after a great day of skiing. A pretty good cold breakfast with choices of eats. We found our pillows a bit soft? We enjoy it enough to return on our next ski trip. Wish they had lift ticket/room deals for Mt Baldy Ski Area.
We met family here for an early Christmas. Our 2 bedroom suite was perfect. Loved the balcony overlooking the lake. It was cold so we didn't really get out and enjoy the beach but at another time of year, it would be fabulous.
We stayed with our sports team, and the service anf hospitality was over the top !!! They accomadated all of us in rooms that suites and let us have access to the room to feed our team potluck dinners and have a get together !! Thank you and please know I would recommend you to everyone !!!! Very very comfy beds in our room too!
We were there in the winter for a hockey tournament. Hotel is right on the causeway, Sitting on the beach on one side and cross the road to a lovely walkway and another beachy area. Beautiful views on either side. Beds are a little hard but if you like hard beds then this is for you. Cold breakfast options, nice pool with slide. Staff was friendly and accomodating.
Very good value. Had a great time and found everything top notch. Used the Travel zoo promotion - would recommend it. Saved lots of money and they even gave us a bottle of wine. Great place anytime of the year
Rating it a 4 because of the Lakefront view from our room. It was the 4th room that finally didn’t have a problem. Everything worked. Needs regular maintenance check for drainage and cleanliness. Some had kitchenettes and quite spacious. Older hotel. Great location on lake and close to activities and restaurant. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Not sure if I would stay again though.
There was a minor hockey tournament & the teams were staying in our hotel. Not only were the kids running around until all hours but the parents were in one room drinking letting their kids run wild. Hotel staff tried to address this issue but they really need a system to keep the teams and regular guests separate. And/or- what about having teams pay a noise deposit that gets forfeited each night noise levels exceed levels and is after specified times.
A party of 3 couples stayed her back in August. I am a little late with this review, but better late then never. The 6 of us spent a week touring through wine country and we saved what we thought would be the best for last. It was an ok stay, just not like any of the other Coast Hotels I have ever stayed in. For $250 a night, I guess I expected a little more. This hotel is right on the beach which is the reason we chose it. The beach is very nice, but a little small. It could definitely use some more lounger chairs for the guests. Early each morning, there were employee's out cleaning and sweeping the sand which was appreciated. We also really enjoyed that we could bring our alcoholic beverages to the beach to consume while suntanning. We arrived 2 hours before check in time and none of our rooms were ready but we were able to change into our bathing suits in the guest washroom and hang out at the beach until they were. The rooms Small and a little run down, but very clean. The mini fridge was a bonus but an added microwave would have been the cherry on the cake. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Had all the useful amenities in the washroom. We were lucky enough to have top floor rooms at the ends of the hotel so we all had our own balcony but it looked like most of the rooms just had the walkway as a balcony so zero privacy and wouldn't have been able to sit out there and relax and enjoy the view. I would have been disappointed if I had received one of those rooms. Staff Very friendly and helpful. Tried their best to please. They were full to capacity and short staffed while we were there but still managed. Pool We were disappointed that the pool and hot tub were closed during our stay. We would have enjoyed a relaxing hot tub before bed but we heard a guest had some kind of accident in there the day we arrived so had to be closed for cleaning. Better then keeping it open.... lol Breakfast Very little choices, but enough to get you on your way. I was bummed that there wasn't any pancake batter. I really wanted to try out the pancake machine. I was also surprised there was no fresh fruit. We came to the Okanagan for the wine and fruit!! Parking Very small, tight parking lot. If you leave and go for dinner, good chance there will be no more parking spaces when you return and you are going to be parking out on the road somewhere. Also on a very busy road and you are totally blinded to the oncoming traffic if there are vehicles parked along side it. (which there always was as the parking lot was so small) Conclusion Would I stay here again? Probably not for $250 a night. I would probably be willing to pay a tad bit more for an upgraded Hotel on the beach,or pay less for something away from the beach as we really only spent a couple hours on it anyway. I would recommend it tho as it was very clean and comfy, and the staff was nice and those are the most important things to me.
Average pet-friendly room, opens on to parking lot. Handy for taking a pet in & out though. Breakfast was a big disappointment, no buffet items apart from pancakes or something similar, and cold cereal.
