I stayed for four days this time around and loved it. The staff always make sure I try a different room each time and I love it! All rooms have their own style and own charm. The conditions for a meeting are ideal with comfortable meeting facilities and great food. I would say the only drawback is a slow internet at times. I recommend this venue for comfortable meetings in a beautiful environment and lots to visit in the area!
Paid for an upgraded room, it was in the attic, hot and the fan barely worked, the jacuzzi did not work, the tea code etc was very poor. No milk, asked several times and failed to get any. The food was excellent but not vegetarian options, just a plate of vegetables was offered. Limited choices on menu for a 6 night stay, ran out of choices. The staff are surely and once they have taken your money they don't want to know about any issues you may have. Put complaints in writing 3days before I left and no one contacted me to even discuss let alone resolve. Wifi not good.
Less impressive than the photos. Rooms are mediocre. Nice garden but not a lot of places to walk. Food is really excellent, worth absolutely the point. If you dont expect a castle, or a magic place its nice for a visit
great place about 35km from paris, our room was a little tired but everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfy.. perhaps they have refurbished rooms available ?? the bar and restaurant were fantastic
We had a great time at the Château! The staff was very nice and helpful, and we highly enjoyed our time in the spa. The room was correct and the breakfast was very pleasant with a great variety of food and a nice view on the park. Furthermore, I appreciated to find good virgin cocktails at the bar. We also enjoyed a good massage and spent some time in the well furnished fitness room. Don't forget to have a look at the park and don't miss the picture gallery on your way to it! We'll definitely come back. Tip for travelers: if you have a voucher and haven't printed it, just email it to the welcome desk a little before arriving. It will make it easier for you and for the staff.
I was excited from the pictures I saw in their website and booking.com to stay at this "castle' only to find out once we got there that there had nothing to do with a beauty of a castle. It.s more of a bad old motel with terrible service and disappointed rooms. Even the people on the reception were very rude. The bar was old and disgusting. We have booked for 2 nights. We stayed 1 and we left running. I strongly wouldn't recommend to anyone to go there.
The exterior of the hotel is picture perfect. The rooms are large, with everthing you need but not luxurious, more of a spartan feel. The gym and swimming pool are great. However the staying here is like being in a faulty towers episode. The service is so bad it is sort of funny. The odd thing is there appears to be lots of staff and face to face they are friendly and helpful. However there no one managing things overall. There is no follow up with any promise or request. If you call reception and they say they will call back no one does. If you request something for later it does not happen. The standard services you expect at a 3 star hotel have broken down. Here is just one example of several. The first night we put out cards for breakfast in our rooms. The meals never arrived. So we called reception to ask if it was on its way. They said they would call back but never did. Later we realised the cards were never collected. We again called reception and were told some one would take our order but no one followed up. Later we explained what had happend face to face. The staff were apologetic and we personally handed the breakfast cards for the next morning to reception and watched them give the cards to the restaurant staff. Still no breakfast the next day. We called reception. This time an hour later (after we had given up) someone did call back. However they had no record of our order and they took it again. 1 hour later we got breakfast. Other areas that could be improved are: The hotel is in a park setting down a long drive way. Arriving when it is dark and wet (and check in is 5pm so it is often dark) is unpleasant. There appears to be no way to get to the hotel door as the road is blocked off and no one to tell you where to park or help with bags etc. There is provision for staff to provide this service at the driveway entry but the booth is unmanned. Limited eating options and menu. The hotel is fairly isolated and the hotel restaurant is too small to fit all the guests. Therefore it is always fully booked. We were told after we arrived we should have made reservations a couple of weeks before we arrived. Great advice but not really helpful. The alternatives are eating in the bar or your room. The in room menu is very limited. Excluding burgers or a pizza you have the option of - grilled salmon - that is it. (it was good though).
What a disappointment. I was booked in to the hotel with business and excited to see the pictures and hotel description. However, the pretty images on the website cannot detract from the fact this hotel is past its best. The bedroom was shabby with scuffed walls, room service selection is extremely limited and there was no air conditioning in the bedroom which was extremely hot and stuffy. Although the a la carte menu was good and the food tasty, the set menu for our company lunches was terrible and bordered on the incompetent. I am gluten intolerant and was served couscous and told it would be fine to eat! My colleague has a severe but allergy and was served walnut salad!! The worst food I have ever been served at a business meeting. Such a shame as this hotel could be magnificent. There are far nicer places to stay nearby. Never again!
Arrived at reception and checked in for one night and the receptionist insisted I pay upfront for my stay, had a standard room and yes it was standard, nothing to write about, clean and did its job. Went to the bar and was ignored by staff, there were three of them and all they wanted to do was talk to each other. Waited 15 mins until asked if we wanted a drink, yes please, merci, gave us a drinks menu then we waited another 15 mins until I went to the bar and placed an order, perhaps that's the way I should have done it!! After another 10 minutes I returned to the bar to ask where our drinks were, at first they couldn't find the order then found it next to the till..... I asked if they wanted me to check out and go elsewhere........ no apology, drinks took another 10 mins to arrive. The restaurant on the other hand was excellent, service, food, staff all brilliant. Would I stay here again, definitely not
The place is good. Services and staff were poor (in lobby and restaurant), for houskeeping it was perfect, and the room was good. I never see that in my life, and I still chocked by the behaviour of some staffs, they were arrogant, and inefficient. The bar obliged us to pay in cash, they refused the card and refused to split the bill to our room. The checkin was a nightmare, the guy was really unpolite and gave no advice to found our room (more than 15 minutes to found it)....and a lot of small issues during our stay. The rooms were good and very clean. Thanks. And housekeeping staff here were perfect and nice. Park is nice. Then I am very disappointed about this hotel and staff, the service in formule 1 is better!
