Stayed here for two nights. Beautiful area and property but that's where it ends. For such a prestige place the service and staff were poor. You can see from ratings- booking.com,trip advisor, etc that scores are down on what should be "excellent" scores for such a prestige and historic property. The management should immediately review its staff training programme and employ staff that are tuned in with the requirements of guests. In the breakfast room for example there did not appear to be anyone in charge and staff with heads down afraid to engage eye to eye with guests. This hotel deserves more and its scores should be 10/10 and 5/5 every time. Has so much to offer.
Hey, what else can you say? You're staying in a chateau!! It was beautiful. We only stayed one night so we didn't get to see much in the area. The grounds were well kept and perfect for a stroll, a hike or a long walk. The bartender went above and beyond to keep us entertained. The rooms were well kept, comfortable and quite up to date; considering that the building is historic. A pleasant and romantic country retreat after leaving the hustle and bustle of Paris. The hotel dining room offered spectacular local dishes that were well prepared and presented. You should plan to dress nicely. From the moment you enter the driveway at the gatehouse, you can sense the class and charm that fills every inch of the place.
This is a true gem of a chateau. It has the patina of ages and the modernity for necesarry comfort. It's old fashion classiness without the pooha bling or so called fake design of modern hotels. Do not hesitate to book a room and dinner. You Will not be dissapointed.
This is a beautifully located majestic Hotel in the forest area of Chantilly - Gouvieux. The outside look is magnificent and the views are stunning. Great for a getaway in equestrian countryside. Unfortunately the rooms are a little dated, the amenities sub-par and most importantly there is no air conditioning which is a major drawback in the heatwave this July. The service, particularly at the front desk is not what you would like at a 4 star rated, rather expensive hotel. The lone server in the bar / lounge was overstretched and the breakfast staff unsmiling with one notably very helpful young man. Breakfast was good but not great.
A pleasant hotel in need of a revamp, staff could do to have manners ,and the food is very average.the garden needs attention although it is very nicely set out .the bar and drinks are very expensive .the bedding was good but the rooms are in need of air conditioning to be fitted.
For 204 eur per night I expected at least an airco. It was a horrible night because it was too hot to sleep. The bright side was the the breakfast that was quiet and good. Overall I hope they add airco or good fans like Dyson in the expensive rooms. I would prefer to go back if they have madechsnged
I stayed in an annex room booked through Expedia. Room although clean and having all the things we expect, it was very small. Ok it was cheaper and as I was on my own, it was just ok. But if I had been travelling with my wife, I would not have excepted it and moved on!! Breakfast was fine €20 if not in package. I had one meal which was good and priced the same as similar hotels. Would I stay again...maybe but not in that room!
Building and park look exclusive.Service is absent. Room 111 is austere, has probably not been renovated for years; If as a couple you look for confort, quietness, you will not find it here. Breakfast room is as busy as a railway station. Personnel is not very much interested in service.Hopefully we could not have a dinner there.Swimming pool heating was probably seen as a useless cost.
I stayed for four days this time around and loved it. The staff always make sure I try a different room each time and I love it! All rooms have their own style and own charm. The conditions for a meeting are ideal with comfortable meeting facilities and great food. I would say the only drawback is a slow internet at times. I recommend this venue for comfortable meetings in a beautiful environment and lots to visit in the area!
Paid for an upgraded room, it was in the attic, hot and the fan barely worked, the jacuzzi did not work, the tea code etc was very poor. No milk, asked several times and failed to get any. The food was excellent but not vegetarian options, just a plate of vegetables was offered. Limited choices on menu for a 6 night stay, ran out of choices. The staff are surely and once they have taken your money they don't want to know about any issues you may have. Put complaints in writing 3days before I left and no one contacted me to even discuss let alone resolve. Wifi not good.
