Thank You kindly for being right there for us when we needed a pet-friendly room , as we escaped the dreadful hurricane Irma. Nice hotel, peaceful vibe & the women @ the front desk deserve highest praise for their proper assistance during such an extreme weather event... JENI & Lynn in particular made our stay a great one when we needed to relax & regroup due to the storm. These women sure could teach many in the hospitality industry today what extraordinary proper customer service is all about. I will share with all of my contacts & I can't thank you ladies enough! My very 1st visit to Ocala was lively thanks to you ~ Aloha Uni Loa
Room was clean, but needs an update. Carpet was lifting up in several areas. Lots of mold and rust in the bathroom because of the humidity and no bathroom fan. Staff were friendly. Woke up too late for the free breakfast.
Actually, the room could be a 5 if some upgrading were done. It is sorely in need of more racks for hanging towels and wash cloths. The desk chair needs replacing. Repainting the bathroom would add to the looks. Some changes need to be made in the WiFi. More outlets to accommodate the many gadgets that need charging is a must. I bring my own adapter for that reason. With that being said, the bed is very comfortable and the climate was great on a very hot day. The service personnel did their job with a smile and caring attitude. The price was commensurate with the product. The cookies at 8 PM was a nice touch.
Room was OK. Cleanliness was OK. Breakfast was OK. Told the girl at check in that I wanted a quiet room as we were very tired. She said she'd put me by the elevator. I said no, not by elevator or ice machine. Road noise was a little bothersome, but we were doing OK. Then at 8:00 a maintenance man decided to remove and replace a light just outside our room door. He removed the light and left. At 9:00 he came back and at 9:50 I asked him to leave as we were tired and trying to sleep. He said he'd be there until his shift ended at 11:00. I called the desk and asked that they get him away from our door immediately. He left, but by then we were pretty upset. Nothing was offered as an adjustment or compensation for our stay.
We are on our way to Anna Maria Island, just left Boluxi where we stopped for 3 days to go see ZZ top. We checked in on Saturday the 19th of May checked out the 26th. It was a wonderful stay. Very friendly, very clean, nice comfortable beds, great shower. We spent relaxing by the pool, eating at lots of different restaurants that are with in walking distance. Our maid Veronica checked on us every day , making sure we had plenty of towels and removed our trash. Veronica made our stay very good. Thank you for a great 6 days at your hotel.
My parents and I got a room on the top floor facing the pool. This helped minimize the noise from the road. The pool was nice but needed a little attention to cleaning. Our lock on our room stopped working. We were offered to switch rooms or they could try to fix it. We went with trying to fix it first, but that didn't work. They moved us next door, so it was a pretty easy switch. However, we were no compensated or offered any "extras" for this hassle. The rooms were decent. Our first room on the end of the building had a bigger bathroom countertop so that was a plus. I liked the new mini-fridges that were available. As for breakfast, it was lacking. The waffles had no taste; they needed vanilla or nuts or something to jazz it up. The sausage was uneatable; these patties were like something squeezed out of a tube. Gross. They did offer fresh fruit. I also did not like how some of the employees were chatting with each other. One day at breakfast, we were the only ones in the room at the time, and two employees got into a 'tiff' (disagreement or argument would be too strong of words) over plastic forks. It was strange and not something I liked witnessing.
Checking in was a bit of a pain, as I had asked for a room away from vending, elevator and ice maker. The check in person seemed to be confused and suggested that they didn't have anything like that available. So I ended up with a room 3 rooms away from the elevator (which is closer to the parking lot side of the building), but I was facing the pool area, so I was a good distance from the elevator. The room was clean, breakfast was standard, the room rate was fair, I would stay here again.
I got to tell you: the hotel is clean and in a good location. However, Jeanette was working tonight and while we were talking to her at the counter, this 90 year old guy came in saying that he couldn't find his wife and that they had just had dinner. Jeanette sprang into Action and called the police. Turns out that the guy's wife died 3 years ago and he had been missing for 3 days. Jeanette did not have the responsibility to deal with this problem, however, she did not hesitate, and now the guy's daughter has been reunited with him and there Is a happy ending. People like Jeanette make the world Aa better place because they r not afraid to get involved when there is a problem even though she could have ignored everything
Was traveling thru area for a one nite stay, and room was 130 per nite. Room was large, with king bed and the linens were comfortable for a good nite sleep. Very quite as I never heard any other guest in there rooms. Overall, no complaints other than the price which will scare me away from returning.
We were disappointed in this Quality Inn after reading great reviews on Trip Advisor. First of all, the breakfast was not up to par. The coffee machine spit out a tasteless brew intermixed with water. Some of the dishes were not even served warm. There was only sugar free syrup for the waffles. The pool always seemed to be full of leaves/dirt, even though we saw the pool man there one day. The parking lot is full of truckers, so I suppose it's a great spot for truckers, but we expected better.
