Nice place centrally located. This place looks very nice and is quite comfortable. There is a very small swimming pool. No in room safe. There is a on-site restaurant with competitive prices. The staff were all friendly
We recently stayed 4 nights here. Place is located 2 walking blocks from Zocalo. Very clean and spacious location. We were greeted upon check in, our luggage was taken up to our room by the bellman who by the way greeted us every afternoon upon leaving and or arriving. Our room was on the third floor towards the back, very comfortable snd clean(kuddos to Elizabeth- our housekeeper who we met and was very pleasant We asked for extra towel the first day to her and from that day on we always extra towels. "Gracias Elizabeth!" We had an early flight upon departure at 0430, the the night crew were very helpful with helping us with our luggage from the third floor. As we were on our taxi, we started making plans to return later this year and stay here. Highly recommend this place. BTW, they also have wifi to keep conected.
The hotel is well located and I liked the look but I slept badly here. The mattress in my room was horrible, puffy and saggy and the pillows rock hard. Earplugs were essential given the street noise, cars, sirens etc. The thin walls meant I could hear the television in the next room. The waiter served breakfast wasn't awful but the choice was limited and it was all rather dry.
We loved this hotel. It looked good online, but honestly, it was better than it looked. It was very well maintained, looked freshly painted, very clean and well appointed. We loved the location, just a couple of blocks from the zocalo and easy walking to several of the best restaurants in town. The street is fairly quiet because it is a one way street and doesn't go all the way to the zocalo which is blocked off to vehicular traffic. It had a very pleasant courtyard with a nice restaurant where we ate breakfast several days and had a glass of wine in the evening. Service was friendly and helpful. The front desk clerk booked us a great driver for a couple of days of private tours and made sure we had a taxi there at 5 am to take us to the airport for an early flight. The room was very clean with a large bathroom and large counter. All rooms may not be the same, but I'm sure they are all as well kept. Not the most modern, but everything you need, including AC (it could get a little warm in April), free wi-fi. There is a nice terraza on the third floor and they have a pool on the first floor. I am not sure how much English the staff speaks, but with a little Spanish, we got along just fine. I would definitely stay here again.
A wonderful welcome awaits you at Hostal de La Noria. Beautiful clean rooms with Mexican style and charm. The courtyard and breakfast room and breakfast is lovely with Mexican dishes style and service.Drinks can be served on the roof terrace to gaze at the stars and moon and Oaxaca city is magical. Yes the rooms may be small but you know what I loved my room because it had a strong Mexican style and furnishings including tassels and Pom poms of bright colours quirky and stylish. We enjoyed exploring the city and cathedral where we got involved in a wedding. There are some stylish restaurants boutiques with stunning weaving and the colours of Mexico food music style art and life lived to the full. The hotel reflected this style.
This is a traditional hotel with an open courtyard; a good place to relax at the end of a day with a glass of wine or cocktail. The rooms are basic but clean and adequate. bed was large but firm. Our room had a window which looked out onto the corridor. No safe in room have to leave valuables at reception. Staff were friendly. Breakfast took a very long time as there was a large tour group also staying in the hotel. This also made it difficult to find a seat. The location, just a few blocks away from the zocalo and botanic gardens, is good. Free WiFi. Coffee making facility.
Don't be fooled by the promotional photo. The rooms are small dark and full of old hideous brown furniture leaving very little space. Bathrooms need upgrading. The only window looks out onto a corridor. The lobby courtyard is attractive. The position convenient. Breakfast very basic.
The entrance and courtyard of this hotel are attractive.Dont be fooled by the room pictured in advert. Our room was dingy and depressing and filled with hideous large brown old fashioned furniture. There was a small window looking out onto a corridor so the room was dark with no natural light. The bathroom was in need of a serious upgrade.Breakfast was limited and uninteresting.. No lifts in hotel
We rented 3 rooms for our family over the Christmas holiday. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially at the desk in arranging tours and in the restaurant. Rooms were immaculate. Location is very close to the Zócalo. The only negative is that this is an old building with no sound insulation so you really need earplugs to sleep
Very close to the city centre. Clean and very friendly staffs. The rooms are clean. Walking distance from the main attractions. It’s a small hotel and very quiet even that it’s in the middle of everything. I will back again.
