Had to be moved from my first room, which I've never done before. Comforter was stained, one of the pillows rumpled like it had been slept on, pubes in the towels, pee streaks down the from of the toilet and floor, boogers or some other gunk on wall in bathroom, a roach ran out from under the bed. The cage around the smoke detector had been removed/tampered with. The staff is super friendly and a lot of the disrepair falls on management, not the staff who were more then accommodating on the room switch and fully understood without making me feel bad about requesting a switch. Next room was OK, but only ok. There were cigarette burns in being in both rooms. A few ants in the bathroom, but those happen everywhere. Ask for tons more blankets! Only a sheet and one of those scratchy blankets we all had but only reserved for our drunk friends when they came over. No signs of bedbugs, so I'll take a roach and a few ants anyday.

The staff is great and the hotel has a Target, Best Buy and several other shops next to it that you can easily walk to. They also had a young security lady who walked around the parking lot and hotel. Unfortunately the hotel is a little run down and the area is a little sketchy. There was a puddle of water in the elevator when we returned from dinner and a couple of large vehicles in the parking lot that people obviously lived in. There were no more parking spots in front of the hotel entrance so we had to park in the back and go through the entrance back there. Didn’t feel comfortable parking back there but we didn’t want to park by the people living in their cars.

They had a sheet covering the closet. Very low class rooms!!

Place is rundown and everything seemed very lived in. Room didn’t feel clean and looked like there was strange paw prints on what was supposed to be a clean sheet

The room was simple and clean. The common areas smelled like skunk. The ground were messy with a lot of garbage. Trash cans were overflowing. Security was very loose and there looked to be transients hanging out on the grounds.

I liked that they were open on NYE, and maintaining COVID-19 safety guidelines. Staff were interesting characters. Parking was fine.

There were chronic problems with the electronic locks for the parking lot and sidewalk gates that got so bad staff eventually gave up and started leaving them open

Convenient and clean. Very friendly staff. Nothing fancy but an affordable option with free parking! Facilities are older but it was half the price of nearby 4 star hotels (you get what you pay for). I would stay here again!

It was fine. I have only one complaint. Someone left the alarm set and it went off at 12 pm. The sound was unlike anything I've ever heard. It was a howling noise and very loud. It scared the crap out of me. Could I have been pranked. If so it wasn't funny.

Hotel located in a very unsavory part of Oakland. Very limited imenities in room, one plastic cup😕. Coffee was not kept stocked in the morning, poor breakfast selection.

Room smelled of cigarette smoke that had been “covered up” with some type of fragrance.

The hotel is a clean budget level hotel. What makes it a great stay is the hotel staff. Victoria is welcoming and helpful. She made my stay a 5.

1. When I first pull to the parking, I was like, what kind of place is this. Somebody was fixing their car in the parking lot. I didn’t want to park at the back, somebody might break my car window. I parked on the side where next to my parking was a shattered glass, SO WE ALREADY KNOW, somebody just broke a car window. 2. I wouldn’t advise any family who has kids to even check in here. The people that checked in here looks ghetto... not being mean but they do. 3. For the price of $130, this place is overprice of what you are getting 4. The elevator is dirty. 5.The bed, I hope those wear clean linen, the room was clean, not so sure about those linen though. 6. If you will ask me if I recommend this place, I WILL NOT... you don’t wanna wake up seeing your car getting break in. 7. If I only knew, I could have pay another $30-40 bucks and check in at Marriot instead. 8. Check in your family to other safe hotel. I don’t recommend this!

Do not stay here, my car was broken into and vandalized when I seemed helped from the hotel staff and security. I was told I can’t be assisted and it’s a common thing in Oakland. Wow what a slap in the face after already losing my belongs

The Hotel needs more security and Cleaning of the rooms Daily You shouldn't have to clean your Room no matter your length of stay

I have asthma and even though I got a non-smoking room I felt like I was in a smoking room. I am not exaggerating. The entire hotel smells like smoke. Not to mention one of the bed side lights began to smolder from over heating and added to the tobacco smoke in the room. I'd say bite the bullet and stay at a more expensive hotel near by. This place is so NOT worth your hard earned money. For a little more a night you can be at a much cleaner, healthier place.

This room was promoted as a non-smoking room but it sure smelled like a smoking room

We were very disappointed with the shabby condition of this hotel. We will not be staying with this chain again. Stick to Marriott, Comfort, Hampton, and Hilton hotel chains.
