Econo Lodge Inn and Suites Oakland Airport

It's a motel. Not a hotel. It was the most affordable one around airport. Just needed to spend a night due to long layover. Wasn't bad. Clean. Smelled alright

Haphazard "remodeling". For example, nice new tile floor in bathroom. The vanity has a nice granite countertop but beneath the vanity and basin is exposed plumbing with a Rube Goldberg look. The "breakfast" consists of watery coffee, packaged sweet rolls, a few muffins, a few bananas served in what looks like was once a closet. Its a good thing that we usually meet friends and family for breakfast at a nearby restaurant because there's little sustenance there!

We stayed here for 1 night in an emergency situation when we were dead tired and hungry so I may not be very objective. We have stayed at Econo Lodges before but this one seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. The only place to eat was the Indian Pakistani restaurant next door. I will say that after I got to bed I did sleep like a rock for the 4 hours before we had to get up to catch our plane. The bed was very comfortable.

Right next to the airport. Very friendly staff. Room much larger than expected. Not the fanciest hotel, but not paying for such. They were accommodating of my initial need for late check-in, then flexible when I needed early check in instead. Good value hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the Econolodge at Oakland Airport. I just needed an overnighter to connect to an early morning flight. This was way better than it's two star rating. I got there late and was quickly and courtiously given a ground floor room facing the pool, which looked very nice but it was too late to swim.. The room was large nicely appointed with desk and microwave etc. Very roomy and clean and no smoke smell. Great shower and quiet too. I got a friendly wake up call and made the on-time shuttle stuffing croissants into my mouth and arrived at the airport in five minutes. I have no hesitation giving these guys 4 stars.

The staff is very friendly. The room was good for the money. Great location. Close to food, shopping, airport and the Oracle.

It was completely do able for one night some creepy looking dudes standing around outside whistling but other than that it was ok

Mean staff and wouldn't help with my situation. That is all.

The bed was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. It was impossible to sleep because the bed was so hard and lumpy. The bathroom was in desperate need of an upgrade. The surrounding area of the hotel is gritty and depressing. For $84 (+ tax and fees) I expected a bit more. I didn't expect any luxuries, but this is a One Star hotel at the price of a Two Star place, especially when you consider the location. It was a POOR value for the money. Unacceptable.

Nice place, worth a stay for what it's worth. Nice breakfast

2 stars - Good rate - Shuttle to BART Unbelievably, no facial tissue in room!

I was not able to get the internet to work, and it was an extreme inconvenience for me. I had to go do my work at a Starbucks down the street. The staff was completely incompetent and didn't care that they couldn't get it fixed. Bed and pillows were unacceptable, as well. Fridge, bathroom, a/c, parking, were all fine. I just think if you're going to offer free wifi, you need to have wifi.

Easy shuttle pick up. Big room. Perfectly clean. Easy to get the bus to Bart station

It was ok for the price and the needs that we had. We had to stay here because we had a red eye flight we had to catch.

This hotel was OK. Clean, fairly quiet, everything worked, updated bathroom, good shower, comfortable bed, and generous size room. But the TV had only a limited number of stations and only one local station. The Mexican restaurant on the site had recently closed and a very mediocre East Indian restaurant took its place. The hotel has a complimentary airport shuttle but charges $5.00 to take you to BART (the light rail system). However, the local bus has a stop just outside the front door to the lobby and for $2.10 you can ride it anywhere. The Internet connect was good. I have stayed at better places for less money but the staff was friendly and helpful.

I expected a half way decent hotel room so I could get clean before my flight and got surprised. The room was cold and the shower as well. I let the water run for about 1/2 hr. but still not hot water. The amenities were all that made the room worth the $79.00. Also, I think he charged my credit card, which he told me he would hold in case I did something to the room, if possible, could you check this out for me.

Just terribly outdated and in sore need of remodeling.

The amenities provided were great for a night before leaving for a flight. The staff was great but the beds were a little uncomfortable if you are not used to the sleep number beds.

It was an ok room if you want to sleep close to the airport and use the free shuttle. Very light breakfast (coffee, juice, fruit , breads, and some cereals).was also included. If you remember that the room isn't the Hilton you won't be disappointed.

The low rating was for the room we had, there was no bathroom door, just a shower curtain hanging. I was there with a co-worker, not a smart move on the staff. They should have asked or informed us of the door issue, prior. We arrived late night and left early and were both to tired to get a different room. That is the only reason I choose Econo lodge, I needed a bed to sleep thats all.
