The beds/pillows weren't terribly comfortable but overall no complaints. A worker did walk in my room when I was in there but he knocked. I just didn't realized it was a knock at my door, it sounded like it was across the hall.

Paid $270 for a room the size of a small bedroom. The air conditioner made so much noise I had to turn it off and open the window.

The place was nice, it is a bit small but that was my doing as I was looking for a place to stay at the last minute during the long weekend.

We had a lot of questions, how to get to the Fox Theatre, where to eat , parking.... the staff was more than friendly and helpful. Thank you all. Most of our contact was with DeRon. Thanks again Deron!!!

I ended up staying here because what would typically be my first choices were all booked. It is considerably over priced but if your hope is to stay downtown and more traditional hotels are booked, it offers a reasonable, clean, and comfortable place to stay. Rooms in the interior core are small and have below average amenities for business travel.

Good location for my business needs and secure in a not so great neighborhood but tiny room and coffee maker wasn't working.

Good location. Small room but comfortable. Love that I could open windows

small room but comfy bed - was good location and was not bad for a last minute booking - that said, it's run by amateurs - for example, i waited at the front desk for 15 minutes to check in because a staff meeting ran late - HBO went out one day into my stay, all other channels 2.5 days in - nothing fixed until last day, day 5 - video stalled over wifi - front desk staff young and in casual clothes, sometimes on phone with friends - 'restaurant in lower level was OK, nothing special - definitely not worth the price i paid

The nice thing about this hotel is it's near the Bart station. We were able to ride the Bart to San Francisco and not worry about traffic or parking. Affordable compared to the hotels on the other side of the Bay. The rooms were small but clean and sufficed for our needs.

The bathroom was HUGE but the room was small, however, it was clean and comfortable

We booked this room with the intent of walking to the near-by concert venue, so that worked out perfect. It was also walking distance to a Peet's coffee and a late night pizza parlor. The staff was helpful when needed. The room itself was mostly clean but literally the smallest room that could fit the bed. When you open the door, the edge of it grazes the corner of the bed. Strangely enough the bathroom had more room than needed and you would think they would have used some of the SF from the bathroom to increase the room size. The window looked into another guests room, so we kept the curtains drawn. Thankfully they had a couple of couches in the lobby where our friends (who stayed here as well) and us could meet up because there was NO WAY the four of us could have gotten into our room.

Terrible part of tow. Walk into cramped lobby into a cramped elevator to a cramped room. Made me feel claustrophobic though I'm not.

We loved the hotel...it was small but had all the amenities.

I had a bad cold when I stayed here. I checked in at around 1 pm and actually spent most of the day there sleeping & watching movies. It was perfect. Clean, quiet, comfortable; free internet; a block and a half to the drugstore (Walgreens or riteaid). There are a couple restaurants inside the hotel, Thai and Indian I think? Or maybe Ethiopian. I went to a vegetarian place across the street and got a quart of soup, which was quite good. The hotel also has a small gym (free), with an elliptical, treadmill, Exercycle. Staff seemed friendly, free coffee, lemonade & newspapers in the lobby. I didn't have to check out til noon the next day. And once I did feel better, I was able to walk to lots of interesting stuff easily (OMCA, street art, lots of nice restaurants).

Nothing fancy but clean and close to BART, museums and shopping. Staff friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. Room was clean, no view as other buildings are close, no clock, but wake up calls were on time. Small room but absolutely fine for my purposes.

Everything was good. Hotel was clean and reasonably priced. Would stay there again.

Caltrain quits running at midnight, so we stayed here after a show at the Fox. The room was small, but clean. Other reviewers' worries about the area being dangerous are basically overblown. Yes, you might get asked for money on your way in. No, you will probably not get shot. Minor gripe: for the coffee maker, why two packets of decaf but only one packet of regular?

Friendly service, Comfy bed, lovely decor. Not the best view but i was pleasantly surprised with my stay here and plan to go back again.

All of the staff were friendly, fun, and helpful. I felt very welcome in the hotel. However, the carpets were very dirty in the hallways and stairs. For the price of the room, I thought a continental breakfast would have been nice. Coffee only offered 3 hours in the morning. Rooms were small, bathroom was large and clean. TV reception was poor. It would have been very tight if there had been 2 people in that room. If you need a fridge, ask for one - if one is available they will put one in your room.

Smallest hotel room and bed I have ever seen. Their sign states they have amenities that may of been forgotten...when I asked for toothpaste...they said they don't have that. The price was way too high for being in Oakland, with one tiny window that faces a wall, and a television that constantly had static and hiccups; The closest I've been to a jail cell.

Thank for your feedback. Price goes up according to demand and it's normal practice in the hospitality industry. You were here when there was a big convention in town. We apologize for the AC, please tell us the room number so it does not happen for the next guest. Hope you will give us another chance in future.
